Everything about the work I needed done was first-class. I got an immediate response to my initial query, we set a time and date for the work to be done, and then I was sent an email confirming those details with a Google map identifying the location of my house. An opportunity, in other words, to correct anything wrong. The repairman arrived exactly on time, reviewed the work to be done, and had it completed in less than an hour. We had two jobs for him and both were done expertly with no mess to clean up later. I'm guessing they charge by the number of people sent and by the hour. Immediately after the repairman left, I got an email invoice with a fair and reasonable price for one man, working one hour. I've had trouble these past two years finding an available and competent handyman. No more! Toolbox is IT from now on!

We needed someone who could handle a few tricky home updates, and Erick at E Custom Designs Inc…read more delivered beyond expectations. We were replacing two 20-year-old sliding doors that were stuck, plus remodeling a fireplace--but not just any remodel. We wanted a modern design without losing our grandfathered-in wood-burning functionality, which is extremely important to us. With the sliding doors, Erick faced a real challenge. Our house sits on a slope and had shifted over time, which meant installing the new doors required redoing the decking on one side and leveling out the concrete on the other--issues we hadn't even considered. But Erick's eye for precision and commitment to quality made it all come together beautifully. As for the fireplace, I had a very specific vision: remove the outdated cut-out to create more living space, preserve the wood-burning feature, and incorporate a fresh design using limewash paint. The first color we picked ended up being completely off. Erick was so understanding and told us, "Pick the right color, and when you're ready, we'll make it happen." Even though this set his schedule back (and I know how tight those are in his line of work), he never pressured us to rush. Once I finally landed on the right shade, his team was back the very next day to finish it quickly and flawlessly. His attention to detail, beautiful custom carpentry, and collaborative design approach were exactly what we needed. Not to mention--when our water heater broke, my husband called him, and Erick had someone out the very next day. He genuinely cared and said, "I get it--cold showers and little kids don't mix." Truly A+ service. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I highly recommend Erick and E Custom Designs Inc.--you won't regret working with them. PS Photos to come

Jackson did an amazing job transforming our broken old fence and useless backyard, into a beautiful and useful space (deck w/ pergola, dog run, fence) that blends together perfectly. I really appreciate the creativity and attention to detail he and the team demonstrated throughout the project. Jackson was very professional and brought us into the decision making process to ensure we achieved results we were happy with. The only problem is that the new construction looks so good that the rest of the yard and the house are looking that much more shabby! :) We have various other projects lined up with Jackson, so I'll have more posts in the future showing the work.

Jackson was originally going to just install our fire pit. I found him on Yelp when I was looking for an electrician. The contractors we originally hired to do the job caused a massive mess and we had to let them go. He was very friendly, professional and patient with us throughout the process. As you can see from the photo's, his work speaks for itself.
