Napa Native Wine Tours came highly recommended by a friend who regularly frequents Napa and utilizes their services. I reached out to her when my best friend suggested a day trip to Napa during our bestie weekend getaway. We didn't have a tour company or car service identified and we wanted something a little more personalized than what was being offered by the concierge at our hotel. My friend's recommendation was much appreciated because Tyler and his team took care of things from start to finish. He got an idea of what wines we like to curate our trip. I did have some wineries in mind based on several recommendations from friends which he felt were in line with our preferences. We landed on visiting three wineries which is all I would recommend for a day in Napa. Chris was our driver for the day and he picked us up in San Franscisco. They do offer pickup service outside of the Napa area. He was super accommodating throughout the day and even got us turkey burgers to eat between stops. When they bring you back to San Francisco, they will drop at a restaurant, allow you to pick up takeout or take you straight to your hotel. They are here to make sure their guests receive the experience they desire. I like a service in which you don't have to do much and they truly take care of everything. I found their prices to be very fair and reasonable in comparison to our hotel concierge. Additionally, they will take care of shipping your wine for you. There is a fee unless you purchase a certain number of bottles from what my friend told me. Wineries we visited: John Anthony - Church Vineyard -It's an exquisitely reconstructed church brought in from Philadelphia. We had our tasting in the room with the fireplace. It felt luxurious although you were in a "church". JA wines are beautifully bottled and are exceptional. I bought several wines here. Thanks Alison for a wonderful tasting! Robert Sinskey -We did the wine and lunch experience. It's a beautiful vineyard and we were seated outside and able to take in the views. The wines were good. Think more of small bites versus lunch for this experience. They are tasty bites but you may still be hungry after if you skipped breakfast which we did. I bought a few more wines here. Mumm Napa -The staff is so incredibly nice and helpful. We enjoyed our sparkling wine but didn't purchase any here. We did however purchase candles and a hat. The candles smell delightful and are a must have purchase along with wine if you so choose. All in all, I enjoyed my first time in Napa and can't wait to go back. I will definitely reach out to Napa Native for all and any future trip needs.

Our group + Tyler! Thanks again for making our trip so memorable!!

Tyler, Krystal, and the entire Napa Native team absolutely , undoubtedly crushed it for my 30th birthday celebration in Wine Country! The high level of curation, incredible hospitality, and excellent communication far surpassed all expectations. Krystal took care of all our bookings, organized multiple days of tastings and accommodated all our requests. I really feel they made the impossible...possible!! We could not have done it without them! Tyler drove us and was a wealth of knowledge. He made us feel comfortable and was always one step ahead in making sure our experience was seamless. Not to mention his great choice in music and general ability to match the vibe of our group. The entire experience was just perfect and we are all so grateful for all that Napa Native did to make it happen so flawlessly! Napa Native will be my first call next time I am in Napa or Sonoma, and 1000% gets my recommendation to any friends or family visiting the area.

Tyler was great. He's a young dude who knows the valley, knows wine, and can set up anything you need.

Reason #1: Geoffrey and Sarah know their wine and make amazing wine recommendations, including places that won't taste publically unless you have an introduction. Geoffrey and Sarah are that introduction. Reason #2: These folks treat you like guests in their home. They make sure that you never open a car door. They make sure you are fully hydrated. They make you feel at home. Reason #3: Geoffrey and Sarah know more than wine...they know food. Whether you want a Napa style picnic lunch or recommendations for dinner anywhere in the valley, they can guide you to good eats. Reason #4: When they are booked in advance and can't fit you in, they give you a solid recommendation for another service. We were so disappointed that the secret is out and others are using Napa Valley Wine Guides. However, they made sure that we were given the name of another tour service that would treat us well. Did they? They did and we'll still be using Napa Valley Wine Guides as our first stop. Reason #5: Based on all of my experiences with Napa Valley Wine Guides, I am completely comfortable recommending them to everyone I know. I have sent friends their way and never worry about the experience. Thank you, Geoffrey and Sarah, for great service year after year.

She picked us up at our hotel right on time and was super professional and organized and not to mention hilarious. I didn't even have to lift a finger to book appointments or prep for anything because she made sure that every need that we had was fulfilled. We literally got picked up right at our hotel and was shuttled off to wine nirvana. Additionally, these guys really know their stuff and brought us to some cool, smaller vineyards for quality wines at very reasonable prices (Robert Biale, Madrigal, Frank Family, Frias) More importantly they know how to avoid annoying crowds so that we didn't have to interact with Bentley limos piled 18 deep with living and screaming Barbie dolls and penis garlands (no joke, we really did see this, and the poor driver looked like he wanted to kill himself) I love these guys and will absolutely use their services every time I'm up in the area. Also, just a heads up, they now have a Sonoma guide service as well. Best Napa service ever!

We started our experience with commemorative Legacy pins which was a really nice touch as soon as we sat down there was champagne waiting for us at our table and the staff throughout the entire journey was friendly attentive. The train itself is beautiful and the ride through Napa Valley was fabulous. We started the morning with the Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict while enjoying wine and the scenery outside the windows. Later my girlfriend ordered the Cracked Mustard Cider Glazed Salmon and I had the Grilled Beef Tenderloin and both dishes were incredible. Everything tasted fresh high quality and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and the overall experience. One of my favorite parts of the entire experience was visiting the wineries throughout the journey. Each stop gave us time to explore relax enjoy tastings and really take in the atmosphere Napa Valley is known for. We were also able to shop around for little gifts and even brought home a bottle of wine from one of the wineries which made the experience even more memorable. I brought my drone with me and was able to capture some incredible videos and photos of the vineyards and scenery which honestly made the experience feel even more unreal. Throughout the ride we also enjoyed wine tastings coffee pairings and small bites including the Chef's Cheese Course with fresh bread cheeses olives and local honey which paired perfectly together. The standout moment for me was honestly dessert. My girlfriend got the chocolate brownie dessert and it seriously melted in your mouth. I had the sherbet assortment which was super refreshing and the perfect way to finish such an amazing meal. I also want to give a shoutout to Carlos for being an amazing host and server throughout the experience. Even with a large group onboard he stayed attentive friendly and made sure every guest felt taken care of from start to finish. The entire six-hour experience flew by and every part of it felt well thought out. Between the food wine winery stops scenery and hospitality this is absolutely something I would recommend to anyone visiting Napa Valley.

The rail follows alongside the highway so views were not necessarily 'outstanding' because I was on the train. I do not need to ride this train to see these views. I did not have to drive, that brings the rating up, but there are MANY ways to not drive in Napa. It was a little rickety, but acceptable. The food, 2/5 stars, substandard for the cost. Portions were small (half a piece of bacon, 1 small egg for a Benedict, etc.) and taste was middle of the road. The service/staff 4/5. Most everyone was very hospitable and did their job well. However, it did feel as if we were 'just another group'. Everything is very script and not especially personalized. For example, I'm on a wine train and no one asked my wine preference. Which brings me to the wine we tasted on the train 1/5. I expected a higher quality of tastings. In addition, offer a choice of flight, white or red or a mix of both. Or, hear me out...offer wine pairings for each course (included with my ticket, not for extra cost). Stopping at the sign and enjoying the tasting in the open car was a wonderful choice, wine selection is greatly lacking and to be honest, a great disappointment. Overall, I enjoyed my time, but this was not necessarily due to being on the Napa train specifically, it was because I was on vacation in Napa. I could see the business cutting costs in almost every aspect and that is unfair because I am paying a premium cost of approx. $100/h. And for some of that time, I'm at the winery and not even on the train. Which brings me to the end of my rating, for the stops 2.9/5. The stops felt rushed, especially our first stop. They are about an hour each, but this includes disembark and reembark times. I wanted a little more time at each winery to make a purchase or walk the grounds. I will not be recommending this particular experience, I believe many improvements can be made. Lastly, I booked this experience due to several social media content creators experience. These creators are getting their experiences paid for. Be sure to read ratings from those of us not being sponsored.
