One of the more unique and memorable tastings I've done. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our host Xavier was friendly, informative, not condescending and just everything you could possibly need from a host. The garden looked stunning and the fun little pop quiz added to the experience. All of the wines are divine. The merlot, Grenache rose and Syrah stood out the most. If you're someone who doesn't like Chardonnay, try theirs and you may have to change your mind. Cannot recommend this place enough

It was magical! I highly recommend visiting Hudson-- not just because of the amazing wines and beautiful property, but because of the people and their love of their craft. I took my parents and young kids to Hudson last week and everyone had an amazing time for different reasons. We brought lunch and they set up a beautiful picnic table with shade, wine and a spectacular view. My parents loved it! Then my kids got to see and pet their lovely cows which was a BIG highlight. Lastly-- we got a tour of the gardens which was my highlight! I picked the best apple I've ever had off one of the trees. Our lovely guide encouraged my kids to pick and eat the tomatoes, raspberries, blackberries and apples. They've never eaten their way through a garden and it was just so much fun! I cannot recommend this place enough!

Our guide, Elisabeth, was super friendly and provided the ultimate tour and tasting! The wine was delicious, and the snacks were delicious! This far exceeded all other tastings at other wineries. The tour of the garden was incredible. Highly recommend!

Let me start off by saying this winery's tasting room is still fairly new, so I believe it's very under appreciated for how amazing the wines and staff are! Before they opened their TR back in September they did all a lot of their production off site at White Rock Vineyards (before it was badly burned in the fire) now they are adjusting by having all their production on site now. It's also nice to see a winery that grows all their own grapes, not to many places offer Estate Wines around here. It's literally one second away from Domaine Carneros so there's no excuse not to go! Reservations are required because it's a pretty private experience. Our host Skip was very knowledgeable about the wines and it was nice to talk with him about how different Hudson Vineyards is from other places. The tasting also includes a plate of roasted nuts with sage and rosemary, I pinned the recipe on Pinterest since I need more ideas for house party snacks! This snack blend went great with the wines as well. As for the wines, whoa! That's me being shook from the breathtaking wines this vineyard produces. Each wine was more on the lighter-bodied side (even the red wines!!) This is thanks to the breeze that the coast provides all year 'round. This was the first winery I've been able to try a light Cab Franc and I'm sure it'll be the only one! Don't be discouraged when I say the wine is more on the lighter side, the flavors will still hit you like a brick by smell and taste. The owner Lee Hudson was walking around the winery during our tasting, we also got to say hi to his two beautiful Greyhounds who were both very friendly and actually let us pet them. I only have good things to say about this place, and I highly recommend everyone to squeeze this place in our your winery to-do list, remember to make reservations in advance!

Grows their own pumpkins and more too!

Since this was our last stop of the day, we went with one glass of the Brut ($16) each to toast the birthday girl, the Caviar Flight that includes three 0.5 ounce jars of caviar, potato chips, toast points, Carr crackers, small bowl of crème fraiche and lemon wedges, and tried the salmon gougeres. While they had good flavor, they were on the drier side. We easily hit our minimum spend with the selection and enjoyed the French opulence, along with the cute goods for purchase on the way out. They also added 18% automatically for our party of 6 to the final bill. Great for pictures, although we got rained in. Still a good stop for sparkling wine lovers.

But dog friendly. Quality/Quantity - I had a hard time with the website making my appointment, it's a user issue as I am just not tech savvy. So I called and someone actually answered the phone and made my appointment for me, THANK you! We arrived 15 mins early, so we hung out in the lobby reading all the history, etc. Then Skip took us to the best view overlooking the vineyard for our tasting; see pictures! We sampled almost ALL the reds! All of which were good. See pictures. I like the fact that we did side by side tastings of many of his wines. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. Events - See their website. Well behaved dogs are allowed outdoors. Service - Skip is a history buff and we both talked for hours... After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! And he gave me a glass with a generous splash and let us walk the property alone after they left! So welcoming and trusting. Price - Depends on which tasting and what you buy; see their website for prices. Tastings range from $50 to $100 per person. One free designated driver allowed. Tasting fees waived with wine equivalent purchases. Hike tours $75 per person ($60 for club members). See their website for more information. Owner Comment - Congrats on your family's success since 1939 and congrats to this winery's success since 1992.

Hands Down the Best Driver in Napa Valley!…read more I discovered George on Yelp, and after comparing other Napa car services--many quoting well over $1,000 for wine tours--it's clear why his customers rave about him. His reviews truly say it all! There were plenty of reasons we chose George over the rest. From our very first contact, George was incredibly responsive and communicative. I had a party of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids) for my husband's 40th birthday celebration and needed a vehicle that could securely accommodate a car seat with a latch system--his car was absolutely perfect. He arrived right on time, greeted us warmly, and was super easy to talk to. Throughout the day, George consistently arrived within minutes at each of our destinations. He didn't just drop us off--he guided us to the exact entrances and exits of every winery, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. On top of that, he shared insightful feedback about why each winery is special, adding a whole new level of appreciation to our tour. Another bonus, he provided water in an iced cooler and white glove door service! What really stood out was George's impressive local knowledge. Without even needing navigation, he expertly drove us from Petaluma to Napa while sharing fascinating stories and history about the wineries, estates, and the region itself. If you want a professional, friendly, affordable, and knowledgeable driver for your Napa experience, George is your guy! Highly recommend and would easily book him for our next trip!

The rail follows alongside the highway so views were not necessarily 'outstanding' because I was on the train. I do not need to ride this train to see these views. I did not have to drive, that brings the rating up, but there are MANY ways to not drive in Napa. It was a little rickety, but acceptable. The food, 2/5 stars, substandard for the cost. Portions were small (half a piece of bacon, 1 small egg for a Benedict, etc.) and taste was middle of the road. The service/staff 4/5. Most everyone was very hospitable and did their job well. However, it did feel as if we were 'just another group'. Everything is very script and not especially personalized. For example, I'm on a wine train and no one asked my wine preference. Which brings me to the wine we tasted on the train 1/5. I expected a higher quality of tastings. In addition, offer a choice of flight, white or red or a mix of both. Or, hear me out...offer wine pairings for each course (included with my ticket, not for extra cost). Stopping at the sign and enjoying the tasting in the open car was a wonderful choice, wine selection is greatly lacking and to be honest, a great disappointment. Overall, I enjoyed my time, but this was not necessarily due to being on the Napa train specifically, it was because I was on vacation in Napa. I could see the business cutting costs in almost every aspect and that is unfair because I am paying a premium cost of approx. $100/h. And for some of that time, I'm at the winery and not even on the train. Which brings me to the end of my rating, for the stops 2.9/5. The stops felt rushed, especially our first stop. They are about an hour each, but this includes disembark and reembark times. I wanted a little more time at each winery to make a purchase or walk the grounds. I will not be recommending this particular experience, I believe many improvements can be made. Lastly, I booked this experience due to several social media content creators experience. These creators are getting their experiences paid for. Be sure to read ratings from those of us not being sponsored.
