We never hesitated to leave her in Kelly's care. Whether for a quick overnight business trip, or a two-week European vacation, Kelly was always there to feed, walk, play with and love on our baby girl. More importantly, she went the extra mile. Quite simply, Emmy loved Kelly as family, and so did we. When Emmy was diagnosed with cancer, Kelly never hesitated in wanting to continue to care for her. Of course, this meant lots of extra effort, including more pills than one could count, being extra careful with walks, and the occasional clean-up of accidents. Kelly never acted as if this was any bother - she was just caring for one of her own. Emmy battled cancer bravely for 3.5 years, reaching remission twice. Towards the end, after we suspended treatment and begun focusing on quality of life, Kelly stayed involved. She would come to visit Emmy, and the two of them were like two peas in a pod. The bond they had was special. When Emmy passed, Kelly shared in our grief and was quick to remind us of the love that our baby girl had for us, and the love she had for Emmy. Indeed, there is something special about Kelly. I can't quite put it into words, other than to say I am incredibly grateful to have found Kelly, and would not hesitate to trust her with a family member again.

She's great about texting with any questions or if you want a little update. I love seeing the pictures she sends, and the dogs seriously LOVE her. We even have a little ankle-biter chihuahua and he has taken to her as well, probably behaves better for her than he does for us! We're going to be moving soon and Kelly is honestly one of the biggest things we will miss about living in Allen.

When I…read morearrived, I was informed that the cat room was being painted and that my cats would not be able to stay in the cat condos but in 'kennels' somewhere else in the facility due to paint fumes. I was assured that it would only be for two days (until Monday). I asked to see where the cats would be staying and was informed that I was not allowed to see where they would be kept as it was not a tour day/time. I expressed my concern about not being informed prior to arriving that the cat room would be closed for a portion of our stay and that I was not allowed to see where the cats would be boarded. The cats ended up being in the cat kennel for four days (instead of two days) and ACE Pet Resort charged me the full price for the cat condos even though my cats were in kennels for the first 4 days.

We will be boarding him for a week while we go visit are daughter in the Galveston area! We highly recommend ACE Pet Resort! Our previous Boxer, CJ went every week from their opening day until we lost him to cancer, and he loved every daycare day and every longer boarding stay! We also boarded our Beagle/Bassett Hound mix and she loved going and being with all the other dogs! They have always taken great care of all our fur babies with love and attention!

She took such great care of them and made sure they were fed on time, played with them and even sent me photos as I told her is very hard for me to be far from them. It honestly felt like she treated them as if they were her own. I came back to two very happy dogs, and that peace of mind is priceless. The pricing was also very reasonable for the level of care provided, and I felt completely safe knowing my babies were in such good hands. I'll definitely be using your service again and recommending it to other pet parents. Thank you again

Everyone seemed very eager to help and made th process smoothe. We liked the open concept because we were able to see the care provided not only to our dog but to the other pets as well. All of the staff worked as such a great team, and the communication between them seemed flawless. We were seen by Dr. Majors, and our tech was Hannah. Both of them were very reassuring and treated Florence like their own. VEG is a very pet family oriented vet, seeing us as a whole and not just a couple people with an animal. When it came time for the price, we were met with such nice transparency, and the DVM was honest with what she recommended and did not try to make us agree to anything that was unnecessary while also making sure we had the option to take all the tests if we so desired. I would absolutely recommend this emergency vet. We have been to another in Carrollton which did not come close to the level of care we experienced here. Thank you!

Horrified beyond measure, I scooped my baby up and jumped into the car to seek medical attention. We have a number of veterinary ERs that have popped up around our McKinney neighborhood, but I opted to risk the extra drive to get my baby into the care of VEG in Allen. While I had never experienced their emergency services, I had experienced their customer service once before--when I had the misfortune of losing her brother on Thanksgiving Day in 2024. We found this place by chance after being treated very coldly and callously by another establishment, which led us to VEG. That experience stuck with me, and thank God it did. In both instances, they treated me and my family with respect, compassion, and great care. Mica had three more mini seizures while in their care, and the staff was immediately on top of it. They were very upfront and clear in their communication, making sure I knew what was happening every step of the way. This allowed me to make informed decisions. It was my biggest fear that I would walk into a grave prognosis--which, on paper, it was documented as such: "grave to guarded." Be that as it may, I truly feel they gave my baby the fighting chance that saved her life. Not once did they bring up euthanasia, and thank goodness, because I don't think my heart could have handled it. I prayed to God to let her see her 12th birthday, which was the very next day, April 2--and sure enough, we made it. She is now 96 hours post-seizure, with no additional episodes since. We were prescribed and provided a rescue dose of midazolam in the event of another seizure, and should it happen again, you can guess where we'll be going. Thank you, specifically, to Dr. Majors, Taylar, and Walter. I am forever grateful for how you cared for us that day. You rolled up your sleeves and sprang into action. May you all serve as the example for how services like this should be rendered. From kissing my baby's forehead, to accommodating all of our needs in such a stressful moment, to sitting on the floor with us--it was all noticed and deeply appreciated. Happy Easter, and thank you again for the gift of a second chance at life.
