I love freshly baked bread -- The Brick Oven Bakery is my favourite place to visit when I'm in the…read moreBurlington area. My favourites are the sourdough bread and sandwich buns. Prices are very reasonable. The bread has a perfect texture and taste in every bite, whether eaten alone or with the wide selection of deli meats (love that they will do thinly sliced that melt in your mouth) and cheese. I'm also happy to see that they offer nitrite free chicken or turkey as well. I also tried the mini pizzas. They were ok for a quick bite. The staff are pleasant, and quickly ask if we need help. The deli counter can be a bit slow depending on who looks after you. The place is small and gets busy. Lunchtime is also busy when customers drop in for Italian hot food takeout. Overall, I recommend this bakery. Some of the regular customers recommended the hot meatball or chicken/veal sandwiches loaded with grilled veg so I'll probably try those next.

I'm not sure if this was actually what caused the Subway to go out of business but I wouldn't be surprised. You're greeted with classic deli smell when you walk in. To the right is the bakery counter with desserts like cannolis and cookies. Since it was close to Thanksgiving, there were full sized pies available. I'm told that on the weekdays, that's a hot counter that has great lunch options. The back of the store has the deli counter that has a big selection of meats and cheeses. We went with salami and pastrami on this occasion. To the left of this counter are all the breads. Some are on racks while others are in baskets that you can grab with tongs. We grabbed some kaiser rolls here. The middle section of the store are grocery items. There were a lot of Italian specialties that and artisan goods available. There was flavoured risotto, herbed olive oil, and those big Italian cakes that come in a box for Christmas but was pumpkin flavoured for fall!

The owner is absolutely fantastic and sooo warm. We had an allergy on the table and she made it a point to make certain dishes herself to be extra cautious - so genuinely sweet. The space itself is very bright and clean, really nice spot. Wish this business so much success because they genuinely deserve it.

It has a clean, modern feel with much light coming from the windows. We ordered the classic Western Sandwich with homefries, and Three Egg Breakfast with bacon and homefries. The standard orders come with a choice of white or brown bread. Rye bread is extra. It would have been good for the server to mention the up-charge when presenting and asking customers if they prefer white, brown or rye even though there is small text on the menu. It's a modest amount, but many restaurants seem to forget or hide the fact that they will charge more for certain items. Other restaurants I've been to include rye bread in the price. Overall, pricing was reasonable and I like that the food was not greasy. Service was a little slow as there were two servers covering the restaurant on a weekday for lunch. However, I would recommend this place and return.

I order the Maple Almond Latte which was not bad... but I wanted more maple & almond flavour. The presentation was lacking with just the cinnamon thrown on top. I guess I've been spoiled by cafes with cute little designs. Also all the flavor hangs out at the bottom... so next time I'll be sure to mix my drink before consuming. I also ordered their Mini Croissant which looked way better than it tasted. Instagram cute... flavour kinda forgettable. It had a piece of chocolate in it... The barista asked if I wanted it heated up and regrettably I declined. It would have been better to have that chocolate melted. Now the staff friendly and welcoming, which always makes any experience better. Again the atmosphere was stunning. One of the main reasons I'd come back. They have a section where they have all these big pillows. I loved that. Outside they had free 20-minute parking... the alternative was 10$ so I didn't stay very long. Overall I would recommend coming for the vibes not necessarily the specialty drinks. But to be fair I haven't tried them all. They also had pizza which looked very good and I overheard the barista say Sundays are their busiest day.

They serve a variety of drinks including coffee, tea, and a small selection of alcohol. These can be paired with their food offerings, such as baked goods, pizza, sandwiches, and snacks. Their spicy Italian sandwich was one of the best I've had in a long time! Just make sure to have your sandwich warmed up when ordering. The iced salted caramel latte was also delicious. Friendly service too! Will definitely be back!

Every time I come here I find that the average demographic leans a bit older so I'd like to share with younger people especially if you like to cook with hard to find ingredients. This place is especially great if you love making Italian dishes and baked goods like me and don't want to drive all the way out towards Mississauga and spend more than anticipated at other specialty stores, or even somewhere like Fortino's where you get charged an arm and a leg for certain produce and meat. Everything here is so fresh, and I love that they sell their prepared handmade pasta at the hot table for CHEAP. I got one serving of their handmade tortellini in alfredo sauce for just $6.99 and I was able to make two meals out of it without any extra sides or drinks. I haven't tried anything else because they had already closed most of the hot table when I got the tortellini but what was still out looked really good. Their desserts are pretty good too, I prefer their cookies over their cakes as I feel I've had better elsewhere, but nonetheless have a great selection with good pricing as well. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, I feel like even if you came in without the intention of buying something, you'll still manage to make a purchase of some sort lol.
