So I knew I had to go here ASAP. So whilst getting my haircut in the city I decided (with help from a friend) to go here and wow was that a great decision. The chicken theme goes throughout with double entendres all around (which is perfect for my humour). I got sat down very quickly and lots of info was given, but not too much that I couldn't remember it but all necessary. Looking at the inside was great with a booze cage near me, lots of windows, and a dimmer lighting which was really cool. Looking at the menu, there was so much to chose from, but I went for the make my own chicken plate which chicken breast (added charge), my choice of sauce (I went Dr Pepper bbq sauce) and fries, but I upgraded to pulled pork fries. Got seen really quickly and served a drink and then whilst editing a video I decided on the above ... and it came out really quickly .. like I was surprised how quick ... and omg it was so delicious. The bbq sauce was perfect, there was lashings of meat on the fries, the chicken was tender and juicy and amazing. I took my time with it and couldn't finish it .. the wait staff were very attentive knowing I might have wanted another drink (I did) and it was just amazing. I stayed hungry as I tried and failed to get my head round why anyone, especially very wealthy folks, would knowingly feed this disgusting stuff to their kids or themselves let alone pay money for it but all was devoured - cold chips, cheap chicken, flabby skin, sinew and batter. The so called chips were limp and stone cold within 5/6 minutes of being served and were truly grim to eat. I took three, all cold, all limp/flaccid and one was raw. They all tasted unpleasant. I wanted to spit them out. It's a takeaway place with all the ambience of a tyre depot with low paid, low morale staff doing their best to be polite and welcoming.

The Nandocas here were friendly, I was greeted upon entry and taken to a table by one of the managers, she explained that due to stock issues, they were out of many menu items including chicken thighs, and chicken on the bone, with a limited number of butterfly breasts left, so she advised me to go for a burger or similar. Frustrating, but visiting just after the festive period with many holidays including a Manchester United fixture, it's reasonable that they just haven't had a chance to get a delivery yet. The restaurant area as a whole was tidy and well-presented, except for one chair, which I had to swap due to having food on it. Some of the larger tables already had a selection of sauces, but there was the usual area where you could get sauces anyway. I still managed to go for my usual Nando's order, a medium chicken butterfly with peri chips and rice. My food arrived in good time and was hot. The peri-chips were salted perfectly and tasted good, and the chicken and rice were also tasty. As with any Nando's in general, you can order via the Nando's app / QR code at your table, or if you prefer the personal touch there is always the option of ordering at the counter. If like me, you have an allergy, you will need to order at the counter with a manager to ensure the request is sanctioned correctly. I did find the food expensive for what it is, as of January 2024, my meal came to £14.45, which seems to be regularly going up at least every 2-3 months, and I did have to bring my own mayo from home as Nando's, despite being a meat restaurant no longer have it, replacing it with a vegan alternative or a paid option of Perinaise (Nando's peri-peri sauce + mayonnaise), but these are issues I have with Nando's in general which are not specific to this particular location. 4* - A good Nando's overall in terms of quality of food and service, and I would return in the future.

They're known for their multiple different sauces for your chicken that you could choose and add onto your table. They also have a vegan menu which my brother ordered from. I chose the 3 chicken wings with broccoli and corn as my sides. I enjoyed the baked/rotisserie style chicken that was super moist and the sauces were really good too! I actually opted for the basic donner with salad, chilli sauce, garlic mayo & the standard whole green pickled Peperoncini chilies (a condiment combination recommended by my cousin - who's been here before - but with the peperoncini added myself - gotta have those). I'd say it was a decent kebab for an after party binge, but not necessarily one I would choose for during the day. This place gets extra marks, however, for their use of lavash bread. It's advertised as Naan on the menu, but it isn't, it's much thinner and quite tasty, making a change from the norm. Perhaps, for this reason, I'll return to try their chicken or mixed kebab.
