    Grain & corn on cob
    Mimi W.

I have eaten in this Nandos a couple of times. I came in with friends today. I had chicken wings which tasted nice but the wings were pretty burnt & the corn on cob was quite burnt, so wasn't too pleased with that. The atmosphere here is nice. But the floor was a bit sticky, the cashier couldn't do mathe & explain to me simple things on the bills. On general, I find Nandos quite pricy for little food. I had chicken wings & too sides & a drink which costed me more than 11 pounds. The soft drink costed 2.65 which I found quite expensive. I found myself hungry again after an hour. The food was ok, but I didn't love it. For 11 pounds, it's not worth it, unless you like unlimited coke.

This Nando's sells all the chicken burgers, chicken pittas, chicken wings, bean burgers and mushroom and halloumi burgers (yum) with all the marinades that every other Nando's does. Thumbs up. I came here once with a friend in the middle of winter. I'm not a girly girl who complains about the cold, but it was bloody freezing in there. We had to keep our coats and scarves on for the entire meal. Thumbs down. However, I came with another friend. She only eats Halal meat so this is one of the only Nando's in town she can eat at in. Thumbs up. I've never queued for longer than 10 minutes at this Nando's, unlike the ones in the Printworks and Arndale Centre which often have long queues. Thumbs up. They have seating for when you're in the queue and comfy booths to eat in, if they're not already taken. Thumbs up. So with 4 thumbs up and 1 thumbs down, this Nando's gets 4 stars.

Mango and Lime chicken, chips and corn! Yumm :)

Simply love Nando's! Great place to eat with family and friends. Speedy service! Great quality food! Half chicken with chips and corn, yes please! Free sofa refils! What's not to love. Nando's have a loyalty card too. The more visits to any Nando's and you get free food. Who can complain about that. A fab place to eat for all you chicken lovers. :)

A booth with this branches own style

This particular branch has an unusual but lovely decor for Nandos with a Moroccan or Middle Eastern theme. Local parking meters and car parks around. Food of usual Nando's standard, having gone for my usual spice of Mango and Lime! Mmmmmm. One downside is the loss of mobile phone signal once entering the building with NO option of free wifi... So my review was delayed until I arrived back home ;)

Nando's just off Oxford Road is in a very busy location (student area) of Manchester. The decor inside this restaurant is unusually different to a standard Nandos. There is one problem we encountered which is if you are in the middle of the restaurant going towards the back, you may not get a mobile phone signal and there is no free Wi-Fi which is needed. Food was to the usual quality standard.

Nice people and very nice chicken! The garlic source is a bit strange for me. First time at here

Nice people and very nice chicken! The garlic hot source is a bit strange for me. Tried medium roast chicken and lemon chicken wings today . The side is spicy rice and salad.

    Review Highlights - Nando's

The venue is by far the most atmospheric, I am happy to return time after time with friends for a good (if slightly predictable) Nandos meal.

Wanted to check out a Chinese place near campus, and found this place ahead of time. I PM'd on Facebook to see if they accepted credit cards - still had not gotten to that ATM yet - and no problem, they did. So +1 star for good service to reply like that! Food was good. The menu is extensive. We were happy with our choices, but apparently there are some better options on the Chinese menu. It was reasonably busy on the Wednesday we visited, but we were seated right away and food came out promptly, good service. Looks to have a take away counter as well. Prices seemed reasonable and portions were also reasonable. Definitely check it out if you're looking for good Chinese right off campus!

The Plymouth Grove Restaurant is aptly named as it is located within the old Plymouth Grove Hotel off you guessed it, Plymouth Grove. After nearly 3 years of refurbishment, I was very surprised to see the English name of this restaurant being so bland! The exterior looks the same as it ever was (being a Grade 2 listed building), but inside is completely changed, to provide a semi open kitchen, takeaway counter (also delivers) and seating for over 100 people. There is a pretty extensive menu, serving your usual sweet and sour chicken and fried rice, but they also cater for the chinese crowd, with roast meats, flat noodles, and congee. The banquets are well worth the money; we had a banquet for 5 between 5 of us and there was still enough for each person to take some home for lunch the next day. The dim-sum here is good value for money, but the roast meats (those roast ducks hanging next to the window) are also well cooked are the star attraction! For the unadventurous, I also note that they do burgers and chips!

"Delicious Favourite Chicken - Tasting is Believing"…read more I have tasted and wasn't delicious. In NYC, there are off brand KFCs known as Kennedy Fried Chicken. I'd say this location is similar to an off brand KFC but without the flavor. The cooking/breading of the chicken was inconsistent. Hot sauce added much needed flavor to the chicken. While the fries were unsalted, it was good with the garlic mayo.

Few takeaways can claim to have been featured in a groundbreaking TV show. But McTucky's, right on…read morethe corner of Canal Street, was immortalised in Channel 4's Queer as Folk. It always makes me smile when I'm watching the series; it's in the scene where Stuart gets rid of his young niece by giving her money for chips, so he can confront his nephew about a blackmail attempt (Yes, I'm a huge Queer as Folk geek!). Anyway, he says: Here's £20. Get yourself some chips from McTucky's on the corner. The mention is a lovely little nod for this takeaway, which has been part of post-club village life for years. However, TV stardom aside, it really is just a bog-standard chicken shop. Still, it does have a cheekier name than most a blatant fusion of McDonalds and KFC! This place is open pretty late and has a menu that's packed with well-priced fried chicken, chips and all that jazz. Unlike many other nearby takeaways, it has quite a few formica tables for you to sit at, too. So it's a good place to grab something to eat after a boozy night out. Just don't expect it to be a life-changing experience!

If you happen to live on the Oxford Road side of Victoria Park, or are just stumbling out of A&E at…read moreManchester Royal Infirmary, then Florida Fried Chicken is in all likelihood your nearest fast food emporium. Luckily though, as takeaways go, it is a pretty good one. The selection on offer here is, as you might imagine, largely chicken-centric (although there are veggie and beefburgers available.) Wings, pieces, nuggets, fillet burgers are all on the menu, 'carefully prepared to an authentic recipe from Florida USA.' The recipe, which seems to involve flouring and deep frying, doesn't seem to have much of Floridian twist - there's no hint of key lime pie flavour. Still this is real chicken, not cardboardy reconstituted innards. It's red hot, tears apart nicely and is salty and greasy just like you don't want to admit you like it. If you like your chicken with a kick ask for your chicken burger spicy - they dip it in their own 'chicken sauce' which is a lot more delicious than it sounds. Florida is a little pricier than some of the chicken shops on the nearby curry mile (with Kansas Fried Chicken's undercutting presumably a hangover from their American civil war rivalry) but when it comes to takeaway fried chicken I would always err on the side of reassuringly expensive.

As a result, I have found myself at Florida Chicken on more than one occasion and think I may be one of their few customers who isn't a cab-driver. The food is pretty standard three-in-the-morning grease which is good at soaking up the booze you will have undoubtedly supped before swinging through Florida's doors. They serve a range of fried chicken pieces although fries, burgers and a couple of vegetarian options are available. Prices are pretty standard and they do home delivery on request. If you can manage to stagger to Abdul's or Gemini I would, but otherwise Florida Fried Chicken is a pretty safe bet.
