I haven't had a problem with this nandos location! I mainly use the app to online order and appreciate the accurate pick up times. The half chicken with one side is a great meal and fills you up well. I've tried a few other of their items (sandwiches, salad bowl, other sides) which are all delicious as well. The closest parking is the parking garage all the way in the back or try your luck finding a parallel parking spot.

Recently returned since they renovated. The food is still great and about 3 employees told us to have a great day when we were leaving. The customer service was great and the food came out crave-able and warm. Excited to return!

Nando's is a place I can comfortably say that it's always a go visit place if you like chicken but I also realize that not locations are created equal. This location in particular just felt odd because my experience here has been pretty lukewarm. I was seated promptly and I placed my order for a 1/2 chicken with two sides and when the food initially first came out, I didn't even get both of my sides so I ended up having to flag down someone to show them my order and that I was missing both. My chicken was a bit cold at this point so instead of just asking for the manager, I just went and started eating the chicken before the other sides came back out. The coleslaw and the rice were at least made quick. Maybe I went at a wrong time but it was just empty, loud music playing in the background and surprisingly just dirty bathrooms? Perhaps it was an off day for Nando's, I don't know. I'll try this place again if I'm in the area, but I don't have high hopes for this location.

Always a place friends and I lean back on if we are unsure of what we want for dinner. I am obsessed with their garlic bread. The halloumi is also good. Obviously, you must get the chicken!

I usually end up ordering delivery from here but had a chance to dine in this time. Workers were friendly and it's nice that all the different sauces are easy access! It's more industrial style inside so I wouldn't care to dine in often vs take out. Chicken is almost always juicy with a nice char and flavor! Hot is not that spicy but has a little kick which is good! I like the fries seasoning too

First of all, the South African jazz music was LOUD! But festive. Just not used to really loud background music at a restaurant except for LIVE music. Anyway, sign up for Nandos rewards before going to get free garlic bread ($2.99 value) but it was delicious. We ordered the 1/4 breast medium with one side (ear of corn) & 1/4 breast medium with 2 sides (Portugese rice & +$2 Brussel Sprouts). The kitchen was running behind so they gave us a free order of garlic strips (larger order of garlic bread). Nice of them. I didn't mind waiting cause I was taking pictures for Yelp! After about 15 mins, we got our food. Nice, hot and fresh. My son's 1/4 breast was huge along with his grilled corn on the cob. My 1/4 breast was half the size, charred and dry along with small bowl of rice (tasted like Uncle Bens microwaved packet rice) & a bowl of roasted Brussel Sprouts in creamy ranch/cheese parm dressing. The sides need work but the flavors are there. Service was good. $1.95 dine-in tax. Well done Fairfax County Sheriff of Nottingham! Since the staff has to clear the tablesn I tipped them 22% when I paid. Overall, food was good (that garlic bread is salty, garlic, crisp, fluffy and buttery goodness) and so was service. That rice isn't good quality. Reminds me of Uncle Bens with the hard consistency. We'll be back tho. Oh the Peri Peri sauces are not hot and VERY SALTY. ALSO, love the sink near sauce station as u can wash your hands without going to bathroom. Eat the chicken with your hands! STICKY!

Picked up a sandwich for lunch; placed an order online. Ordering and picking up was efficient and easy. The sandwich is a little small, especially for $13- about the size of my palm. That being said I really enjoyed it. Bread was soft and chewy. I loved the arugula and tomato and mayo. Chicken was tender as well.

I am not certain what all the hype is about with Nando's Peri-Peri. This was my 1st time at the Mosaic location, however, I've been to 3 other locations over the years. So I've dined at Nando's 4x altogether. What strikes me as odd, the service is half self-serve, half they serve you. You must order for yourself with your phone using the table designated QR code and pay and close out. It prematurely prompts you to leave a tip, although its too early in the process since you haven't actually received any service yet. They bring the food out to you, however you must get your own napkins, silverware, dipping hot sauce, and water. So it's sort of like a modern, nicely decorated restaurant, but you help yourself for some things like at a fast food restaurant. I don't get the concept so that was sorta weird in my opinion and not certain what the tip is for since you don't receive much individual attention. (-1 star) The public restrooms are individual use, no designation for male or female. One restroom was super gross. The sink was clogged and the floor was a disaster. (-1 star) There is a hand-washing station out on the main floor near the utensils and hot sauce station. So one could wash their hands there rather than using one of the individual restrooms. Also, the main entrance door to the restaurant was stuck and very heavy to push and pull. To open the door, someone had to help me pry the door open. And to leave, I really had to struggle and push with all my weight to get it open. As I dined from the outside seating area, I noticed every single patron struggle with getting in and letting themselves out. (-1 star) I think Nando's is ok, but they have room for improvement. I think it's ok for take-out, but not for dine-in. Flavor of the food was ok.

We ordered doordash and are completely underwhelmed by what was delivered. The restaurant completely disregarded customizations and portions were tiny. Called to complain and they blamed it on doordash even though everything was correctly reflected in the doordash order. Would never order from here again.

Various sauces you can get to-go

My bestie and I love stopping by here when we're strolling through Mosaic! Service is quick and easy via counter service or by mobile website. The decor is unique and I'm a huge fan that you can get whatever food item and grab to-go cups of their lemon herb, various medium, and hot sauces. It makes choice overload just a little easier. I typically get the 1/2 chicken platter or bowls and grab the garlic bread, Portuguese rice, and mashed potatoes as my sides

You can do counter service or waiter service
    Nancy R.

Nando' Peri Peri is a nicer version of fast casual in that in addition to ordering from the counter, you can opt for waiter service at a table. This makes for a slightly more relaxed meal. The service was great and the open feeling of the space with its bright colors also added to this happy feeling. We opted for the peri paradise chicken melt and the chicken wrap, both which were tasty and almost felt healthy - ish. We had a lot of fun experimenting will the wide variety of sauces which ranged from mild to supe spicy as outlined in their color coded hot pepper graphic. The brussels sprouts were also good and, again, felt a little healthier than the fries (which we did also order - you can't be healthy all the time...) The mango limeade was a nice accompaniment. Located in Mosaic, this Nandos gives you option of sitting by a window or outside to enjoy the nice weather and ample people watching. There is plenty of parking in any of the nearby parking garages.

Great spot to grab some quick food. Dropped in after enjoying the farmers market at Mosaic and was really impressed by the chicken! I got one of the bowls and found it very flavorful. Their fries are also super crispy. They also offer stuffing- I found it to be quite mushy and not my taste. The workers were great and quick to clean up tables. I love a good booth seating so enjoyed that too.

Follow up. I was contacted by GM and asked for my physical address where I would receive a free meal or "do over" at the mosaic location. Today is October 15 and I still haven't received this free meal coupon as of yet! However I have tried and had a good experience at yet another location in Arlington. Pretty sad the location around the corner from my house is still off limits to me.

The awning outside needs refurbishment and inside furniture is not updated. It's dark inside, almost like a night club. Perhaps it is sometimes. I did not like the decor, it was a little run down and honestly did not match up to the prices. The service was also disappointing. I felt that staff lacked a bit of professionalism and they rarely checked on us. The plates are huge. That is a plus. My partner ordered the goat and I tried the red snapper. I think one plate is big enough to share. I like the spinach, but everything needed a bit of salt. While the red snapper was coated in a lovely tomato and red pepper gravy, I felt it made the crispyness of the fried fish disappear and it was kind of soggy. Maybe you can ask for the gravy on the side. The food is not bad, but given the physical establishment and the service I wouldn't return.

THIRD TIMES THE CHARM!…read more This is my second time dining at Lydia's on H (third visit). My first time was Valentine's Day, and the restaurant, while calm, was chaotic, AKA the full menu was not available. The second attempt to dine there, the staff member (whose name I forgot, please charge it to my head and not my heart!) informed us before we sat down that the evening service was a limited menu. To entice us to return and ensure consistent customer-centric service, the bar manager invited us to return on the first night and asked the staff to inform us when we arrived. Sure enough, the next day, when we arrived, there was a note for the staff informing them that they should be expecting us. The vibe in Lydia's is always chill! The music is always good and at a volume where you and others can still enjoy each other's company with conversation if desired. Overall, the food, service, and ambiance at this establishment should be the standard for many others. Well done, Lydia's. We are excited to come back and try the steak-and-cheese egg rolls next time.

I ordered the Brussels sprouts as my starter; they were good, nicely seasoned. My only issue? Timing. They didn't come out first. Everyone else had their food, and my "starter" came right before my entrée, which kind of defeated the purpose. For my main, I had the shrimp and salmon rasta pasta. It was good...creamy, flavorful, but definitely spicy. Not unbearable, just be prepared if heat isn't your thing. My mocktail was refreshing and good too... just small. A couple real sips and it was gone. Overall, the service was good. They were accommodating and made sure our group was seated comfortably, even moving tables around so we had a better setup. I appreciated that. The ambiance was very Black eclectic: cool R&B vibes, nice energy, a solid spot to gather and vibe. Checl out my pics! I'll be rating each dish I tried on a 10 point scale. Would I return? Probably not. It wasn't bad; it just didn't wow me. And in the DMV, there are way too many other spots on my list to try.

They were out of boneless chicken, so we pivoted to a half chicken... only to be told they were out of that too. Then it turned out they did have it. We ordered the hummus appetizer and got the side portion instead, which meant another trip to the counter to sort it out. We ordered medium peri peri sauce and got something noticeably spicier. Too tired and hungry to send it back, we just ate it... and the meal just didn't hit the way Nando's usually does. The mushy peas we'd been looking forward to aren't even on the menu anymore, which was its own small disappointment. On the bright side, I ordered a 5 oz glass of wine and got what looked like a double pour. Not complaining... but it does sum up the vibe. The staff seemed indifferent, whether it was end-of-night fatigue or just an off-night, hard to say. We'll probably give Nando's another shot elsewhere, but this DC visit was disappointing enough that I can't really recommend this location.
