They offered thighs chunks and breasts. I ordered the breasts. They came out super piping hot in a few minutes and they call your number to pick up. There is nowhere to sit down and there is zero ambience. You pick up your chicken and then you go eat it in the street outside. The breast is flattened and extra crispy and was definitely good. I would prefer a table to sit out but that's not the way Chinatown rolls. No matter what time you walk past this place there's always a line. Give it a go.

Grumbles ensued, and our confusion escalated, before finally he relented, saying 'It's okay, it's okay... sit down, we'll bring you your kebabs.' Even if there -was- a 50p extra charge, we'd already paid a pound over what their signage indicated... Whatevs. In the end, we were served huge plates with mounds of meat tucked into little half-pittas. Heaps of salad with brilliantly purple crispy cabbage came on the sides, and two tubs of properly spicy harissa and yoghurt sauce were welcome offerings. Whilst I will admit that the meat I had at Crystal Kebab near Kings Cross a few nights prior was superior in tenderness and flavour, the volume of food at an affordable price at City Best was undeniable.
