While on my latest trip to the other side of the Atlantic, I had to visit Nando's. I had originally tried it while in London, and really wanted it again. I don't have any near me, so this was the only opportunity I would be having it in a while. To start my meal, I got the Houmous with PERi-PERi Drizzle. This was pretty good. Your average hummus made even better with the delicious Peri Peri sauce. For my meal, I got the Sunset Burger. This was also really good, and hit the spot. I had it with the medium Peri Peri sauce and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nando's is a really good place to get a quick bite to eat at a reasonable price. I would definitely visit it again and again if there were some locations near me. I guess I have to wait till my next British Isles adventure to have some. read more

I was So excited to try Nandos because my roommate has been raving about it to me for two years now since she went to study abroad in England. I knew I had to try it so I went in and ordered a whole chicken with peri peri sauce and chips. My roommate advised me to try all the sauces so I stocked up on sauces. To my disappointment, the chicken was dry and unflavorful, the sauces were all very, very sour, and the rice on the side was bland. I didn't understand how the food could be enjoyable to anyone by any means but ate it anyways. The fries were actually great but did not compensate for the lack of excitement from the other parts of my meal. I want to believe that maybe the Nando's in Dublin is different from the ones in London. But I wouldn't recommend coming here because it was truly a disappointment for me. read more

Nandos' is a casual restaurant that I always enjoy eating at. This was my first time at this Nando's. I came in for supper and got the medium spiced half chicken meal with the bean salad, chips, and a drink. I always forget the half chicken meal is way too much food for me and I should just get the quarter chicken. Anyway the chicken was really good. I grabbed the lemon herb sauce to put on the chicken and my chips (yeah I do that). I also tried the herb sauce, but didn't like it as much. I usually get another bottle of the piri sauce for the chicken, but thought I'd try something different. My meal was about 17E, a little pricey, but it's very filling. If you get a soft drink there are free refills. For those who haven't been to Nando's before know you'll get a menu at your table, but you need to go up to the counter to order and pay for your food. read more

The music was slightly too loud, we felt like we needed to talk very loudly just to hear each other. Fast Food just better than the usual choice. My second time in Nando's after living here for 5 years. The choices are enough, something for everyone on there - even for the vegetarians if needed. The chicken is delicious, very juicy and tasty. You can choose spices and flavours to make it yours. The side orders are easy but fresh too and not overlooked at all! Visited the first time ever today to celebrate my birthday and to see what was all the fuss about, and oh my lordie lord the food is delicious! Not only the chicken was amazing but also the mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The staff were very friendly and made sure we had what we needed. There was no plans to go for lunch in town. The objective was to get the shopping done and go home, but I was hungry. Where could I suggest we eat, that would entice the hubby? Chicken, he likes chicken .. Where could we get some chicken?? Nando's! We had never been, would he like to try it? Of course he would! It was packed, but we got a seat. I won't go through the whole process, others have commented on it. I got the chicken in pita, yummers!!!! The greens were lovely and fresh and just delish. The coleslaw was nice and cooled my mouth down after tasting the Hot sauce, next time I'll just start at medium. Hubby had the 1/4 chicken and I'm pretty sure he liked it, if the sounds of lip smacking and the pile of picked clean bones were anything to go by. As fast food goes, I like it. This place is super 'meh'. The food itself is enjoyable but not great value for money. I'd give the place a much better review if it was half the price. Been here twice, the service and staff are great which is why I gave it the two stars however the food itself is just a bit of grilled chicken and some chips. Found the butterfly chicken Portuguese roll to be very hard and the tiny but of butterfly chicken you get for 10 euro is hardly worth it. Got a takeaway in work and persuaded my friend to try it for the first time. She was pretty disappointed and I wished I hadn't brought it up as an option to be honest.... read more

Came here around 9:00pm on a Thursday night with our 2 year old who was still adjusting to the time change coming in from Seattle. It was the right level of loud for us to be able to relax with a kid/toddler and enjoy our food, and the staff was all extremely friendly and played peekaboo with my son. Food was yummy: this isn't gourmet chicken but we didn't expect it to be. For US travelers I would describe this place as a similar ambience to a Mod Pizza in terms of being classier than fast food but still pretty casual. so yeah the ordering system makes no sense to me. We came in, we were asked to wait for a table in a seating area, then we were given a table and told to get up again and go order at the counter back where we were originally waiting... then sit down again... but then if we wanted to order anything extra we could do that from the table. I have no problem with fast food and the cost cutting efficiency that comes with that. I do, however, have a problem with confusing eating experiences that are unnecessarily complicated. As for the food itself, it is all about the chicken. I got the pitta meal and it was nice and the chicken was good. Although not as good as crackbird, which (and I never thought I'd say this) actually has a better system. Portions are not huge and I really would compare it in dining experience to Eddie Rockets... and like Eddie's its probably not really worth the price you pay - you can get a decent early bird for around the price for this. If you buy a soft drink you get free refill, but there's the usual disincentives of the small glass and having to get up to get it Still it was nice to try it and see what the fuss was about. LOVE Nandos. Used to always get the chicken burger but now Im addicted to the chicken butterfly. The salad tends to be abit mean so I always get the chips which you can get sprinkled with hot tasty special nandos dust which is gorgeous. Staff always super nice, they ahve a loyalty card too which is fab for poor students like me and you can refill on drinks as much as you want. WINNER read more

The 2 stars is mostly because we had to wait 40 minutes for our food. That's not an exaggeration. Seems like the kitchen was a bit backed up but you could tell the whole restaurant had been waiting a while. They also forgot about bringing plates and the beer I ordered until I reminded them. Once we got the food it was actually pretty decent. We did watch our chicken sit on the pass for a while, evidently waiting for some side. We had the mango lime boneless platter and the breasts and boneless thighs were pretty good. Of the sides we had I think we all enjoyed the super supergrain salad the most. If the food was quicker it would have been a 4 star experience but the wait for some chicken was ridiculous and no one even thought to stop by and let us know about the issue. read more

Starved after a day of shopping, we stood outside of Nando's and saw a decent enough crowd inside to give it a try. I typically make the move for beef or seafood in Ireland, because it's so fresh and tastes fantastic. I don't usually crave chicken, so I wasn't particularly feeling the place when I found out they only do chicken. BUT their sauces are a wide variety (lime and mango, lemon and pepper, and all kinds of spicy variations), so it changes the flavor. I wasn't overly impressed by the food, but the customer service was some of the best I've seen. For example, a woman at the table next to me ordered before me, but was served much later. The manager personally apologized for their error for the lateness of her meal, and gave her a voucher for a complimentary meal on her next visit. At our own table we were finishing our meal when this same manager offered to refill more of our sides. This was generous, because their portions had already been fair for the price. This place adds a different variety to the meal scene, but most importantly serves up top notch service. I like a place where the staff looks out for their customers and treats you with respect. read more

This was first and only time coming (mostly because there isn't a Nando's where I live), they seat you at a table and you order at the counter. I ordered chicken wings with a side of chips. Have to say I just don't get the whole Nandos concept. In my opinion it's nothing more than glorified but expensive & very average fast food style chicken & chips. I love Nandos as an alternative to any other fast food meal. I think the chicken wraps are amazing. Staff in D2 and Dundrum are amazing, however tonight I visited the Henry Street branch and I was met by what I can only describe as the attitude of two uneducated brats, hence the one star rating. I have never received such an appalling treatment in a restaurant in Dublin before. I won't be coming back but I do indeed recommend everyone to try the other branches. read more

It's a good place with an easy location. Very busy especially in the evenings and you will probably be waiting for 10-15 mins for a table. You can book your table and then go for a walk in Jervis Centre and they will call you. I really like the food it's great and the Chicken Wings Platter was great for sharing but the prices are a bit dearer than other places so that wasn't the best. I liked the 1/4 chicken. I have been a fan of Nandos for few years now. I would visit once in a while and normally enjoy it. However, last few times made me realize Nandos stoped carrying about quality. Moreover, it seems they lie to us at times. Let me explain: one of the items on the manue is Chicken Butterfly which according to the restaurant is: "Two succulent chicken breasts joined by crispy skin". On its own-no sides, chips, nothing - it costs €10,10, for the chicken only. We noticed in the last year portions of chicken are getting smaller and smaller in Nandos, but what my boyfriend received last Saturday in Nandos on Mary Street was just purely ridiculous. I regret so much not taking a picture!!! Not even that it for sure wasn't two breasts of chicken - as said in the manu - but one. It was a one, bloody sad and tiny PART of chicken breast. For a tenner a piece, I would at least expect a decent/if not big size of protein. Not even mention, I would expect the restaurant not to cheat their customers is such a low way. On the other hand my food: Grilled Chicken pitta, was leaking oil from the bottom like a broken tap. Not even drops, it was a tiny stream of oily-watery substance leaking out of it for a good few minutes. I really don't know what happened, but that was one disappointing visit, I don't think we'll be back. At least not for a very long time.
