Delicious! Stopped here because it had some great reviews on Yelp. My daughter and I each ordered the carne asada burritos. They normally come with pico de gallo and guacamole. We ordered one that way and another one with guacamole and cheese, no pico. The man who took our order was very customer service oriented and he was helpful when we asked questions. We waited about 6 minutes and our order was ready. I opted for green salsa and we took our food home. We ran into traffic, so it was longer than 15min drive. The great news was that the burritos were still hot and delicious when we ate them...in the car! We are definitely coming back to this place. This is definitely a new Mexican food spot on our list. It might be a small no frills hole in the wall. BUT Let me tell you something..... this (plain) CARNITAS PLATE right here !!!! I don't know who's Abuela is in the back roasting this pork. Normally I NEVER eat carnitas because it's dry and tasteless. But this right here is perfectly moist AND crispy with a delicious bouquet of seasoning. You get a great portion of pork, guacamole, red rice , and beans. Look it's just delicious and satisfying. I really can't say more ! Try it for yourself. It was so good I forgot to take photo. I frequent this shop often enough and have typically ordered the same items: carne asada fries (the fries are good quality, dont taste cheap and fried well), carne asada burrito (great flavor and decent meat cuts- not full of fatty pieces), rolled tacos with everything (these are crunchy on the outside and soft on inside, and not mostly tortilla with minimal meat like at some places), and hot carrots (which are pretty good, not too spicy, don't taste like they sat in a plastic bin but could slightly improve imo). We tried California burritos though and we're mildly disappointed. For the cons, there are soft potato chunks that take up a good portion of the burrito (1/3-1/2) and there's no guacamole or sour cream! :( BUT it is a really great size, the meat that was in there were not fatty/ chewy, and it generally had great flavor. Overall though we really like this shop because the food is consistently good, customer service is great, the prices havent become absurd and its close to home. tl; dr Poor Customer Service This used to be our favorite taco shop because it's nearby, and the food is tasty and of high quality. The above is what I'll give it two stars instead of one. However, they have treated me poorly multiple times now, and that's why we'll never be going back. I have a dairy allergy, and on one more than one occasion, despite specifically asking for no cheese, I have gotten home to discover cheese on my food. Each time, we've had to go back, and they've demanded the food back in order for us to get a replacement. Last time I went there, when I got home and discovered cheese on my food, I hopped in the car and called them on the way to ask for a replacement. I was very calm and nice on the phone. I got there and they were already closed. They let me in, and get this: I actually apologized to them because I felt so bad that they had to stay open an extra few minutes for me. When the man asked for my cheesed food, I apologetically told him that I had left it at home. He got an aggressive tone with me and told me, very condescendingly, that they'd make an exception this one time. I said, "Just ask your cook. He'll tell you he put cheese on the rolled tacos. I'm not lying." He said he needed the old food. So I told him nevermind and to keep the food and I won't be coming back. He said, "That's your prerogative." I told him that my husband I have been regulars for years, and it's so messed up that he would treat me that way. THEY messed up the order. I had to drive back there. Great little "hole in the wall" as they say! Friendly Customer service. My mom got sick while on vacation and wanted some caldo de res. Our first choice was Nancy's and they had sold out! Luckily they had some left without the larger portions of beef and were able to sell us some. My mom was so happy and said it was the best stew she ver had! This is a great hidden gem right off the 94 and 125 freeway. Stopped in while I was waiting at the laundromat and was pleasantly surprised! Since the signs feature breakfast (burritos), that's what I tried: a zucchini, tomato, mushroom, egg, and cheese burrito, and a nopales and egg burrito. Both were good but had a little less vegetables than I expected and hoped for. It also seems like guacamole only comes with their carne asada burrito or steak and shrimp burrito. This is a local Christian owned business that has been here forever. I had never eaten here before. I was next door getting Chinese but my man wanted a Carne Asada burrito.
