I grew up in the area, but have been away for several years. This is definitely not the place you should go to for a breakfast burrito. The ham they use is lunch meat ham from the grocery store thinly sliced. I found it to be pretty off putting. I do like their green and red hot sauce. They make those really well

Came today for a California burrito and it was delicious. It was the right size, meat was delicious, it was so hot the cheese was nice and melty, and the salsa was also the best.

Came here with a coworker on lunch as my coworker suggested it. It's a taco shop on the corner with outside seating. I love Cali burritos but never had one in San Diego, so that was my Mission. I had a cali burrito and a fish taco. Both were really good. The food came out pretty quick and the workers were nice

    Carne Asada Tacos with guacamole!

My favorite Mexican restaurant that has a convenient drive thru! I always get my favorite-Carne Asada soft taco which has loads of meat and homemade guacamole! Be sure to pay in cash if you can to save some $. There are outdoor seating too!The people here are friendly too and the food fresh!

    Fish Burrito - not good

Surprisingly this was the only Mexican shop that we found that was opened on New Year's Day. It wasn't my first choice but it was opened for take out through the drive-thru. When trying a place for the first time, I always get the basic carne asada burrito. The burrito was on point but no guacamole. It's also slightly smaller than other nearby shops. Tortilla remained soft which I liked. The meat was not chewy and it had flavor. The fish burrito was the opposite. It was a bust. You can tell it was previously frozen and the batter kept on breaking and tasted all doughy. The service was super fast. There are so many other Mexican shops along this street that I haven't tried therefore I won't be returning here.

#11. Mixed Burrito with Enchilada Sauce, Beef Taco and Rice

Appreciate the drive through (which I feel is majority of orders but they do also have walk-up). Easy to find on the corner of the street. Variety of items and unique items as well. Such as Hawaiian burrito which my boyfriend recently got (comes with ham, pineeapple, shrimp...). He gave it a 3/5. I agree on my one bite. It was good but has to be something you are in the mood for. They also have potato rolled tacos-those were yummy and their guac was freshly made and delicious all on its own. I ordered the #11(mixed burrito which is shredded beef & beans, beef taco, and rice). The two sides of rice were soft, fluffy, and tasty. I love RICE so was pleased with that. The beef taco was also super good and crunchy. I really like their red hot sauce, even bought a pint of it for $4. The beef burrito was mixed with beans and topped with enchilada sauce. I just wanted to try something different and although that burrito was not bad, i wouldn't order that item again. There was more beans than their was beef, but also the burrito itself felt like it was more tortilla than filling. I was not a huge fan of the enchilada sauce and would definitely not order a wet burrito again. It's my preference due to I like holding a burrito in my hands while eating, and that was not an option because it was quite messy to hold (I did briefly try it lol). Overall, I will be back since I have been coming here since my college days. I don't come often though, just when I'm in the area. And as far as I can remember, the drive through always has a wait. I've never experienced a fast wait time, but it's all good since I'm in my car listening to music. I appreciate the staff, they are super friendly with smiles.

Most amazing 3:30 Am burrito I have ever had. Was not even intoxicated and it was splendid! Wasn't super wet but damn I liked it dry!

Pollo asado taco only comes with chicken and guac -- no pico or onions or cilantro etc. Almost $2 extra to add pico!

Ordered the crispy calamari, ceviche trio, and ahi tuna tostada. Enjoyed the different flavors of ceviche and was a fan of the super crispiness of calamari. My fav was the ahi tuna tostada. Super dressed up and had a good mix of crunchy, tart, salty, and mildly spicy. The restaurant has a great view of the ocean especially if you sit outside. Our waiter was very friendly and our food came out in a timely manner.

The gentleman/waiter handed us the menu and went on his way. Chips and salsa along with waters for the table were brought and then that was when the service of our waiter went downhill. We ordered the ahi tuna and guacamole for our appetizers but the timing for the meal was so off. It was a long wait before the waiter even checked back on us and which is when I asked for a refill on my water and chips. We had order drinks as well. The smoked old fashion was good and the ahi tuna appetizer portion was plentiful. There were some parts of the diced ahi that was a bit chewy. The gaucamole portion was large and it wasn't until I asked another waiter did my refill of water and chips arrive. For entree, we got the scallops with corn cake, a salad and I had the poblano burger. I asked for the burger to be cooked to medium. When the entrees arrived my burger was overcooked with no pink in sight. The flavor of the burger was good but the burger was definitely dry as can be. The corn cake with scallop was interesting it was almost like the corn cake was a croquet that encased a corn salsa. Overall the food was okay but the service left a lot to be desired. The waiter and the end seemed to put up a fake act when the check came. Since we asked for the check it seemed like the waiter was on hyper speed. Overall the view is nice but the food and service did not meet the expectations.
