LOVE Nancy's Cake Designs!!! I've ordered in total 4 cakes from Nancy. While they were all technically "wedding" or "groom" cakes, I modified their looks and turned them into birthday cakes. Nancy uses great ingredients - the batter is delicious and my family always ends up fighting over the icing. I love that they are dependable and offer delivery (for a small fee), which makes celebrations less stressful for me, as I'm usually the one doing the organizing. (I never have to worry about the cake once I place the order!) They are also very accommodating and friendly. I definitely recommend Nancy's cakes!!! read more

It's very unpleasant to have to write this review. Because I have never had a cake made by Nancy's Cake Designs. I'm currently pregnant and my baby shower is being planned. I called the bakery to see if I could schedule a tasting since my husband really doesn't like cakes and he is very particular when eating a cake. I was informed that the cake tasting appointments are only schedule for Weddings and Quinceañeras. At this point the young lady that took my call made me feel like my business was not important, and it is very unfortunate because I wanted to give Nancy's Cake design a try since I have taken the time to look into their work and read all their great reviews. I must continue in finding another baker. read more

Everything seemed good on the cake tasting and Nancy (the owner and baker) even mentioned she would set-up the cake at the event. Well she broke her word! On the day of the event she sent a young & two days on- the- job employee to set up cake. This girl made a horrible job- nothing like in the picture shown by Nancy! The other bad review scared me before I even set up and appt with Nancy for my wedding cake. I called ahead twice to make sure we were all prepared for the tasting appt but when I showed up they acted like I was inconveniencing them. We showed up a little early and Nancy (I think that was her, she didn't even introduce herself) acted like she had to go to the back and bake the cakes real quick. She came out a while later with the tasting plate, and the cakes were good! I asked how many flavors we could have (other places allow you at least 3 or 4 for a 4 tier), she stated we could only have 2 flavors so she and her staff wouldn't get confused..we did not buy our wedding cake from Nancy, the worry that she would forget and not show up at all, or being a totally different cake, we weren't willing to risk it on our wedding day. read more

I spoke with Nancy (the owner) and told her exactly how I wanted the cakes to look - and on both times she did an absolutely AMAZING job! The first time, as I was shopping around for a good custom cake place, I was a little hesitant because I didn't know much about this business at the time and of course, I would wonder how the cake would turn out. Much to my delight, the cake was nothing short of awesome! The flavor/filling combos were great and the cake was super moist and delicious! As they say, first impression is the best impression! So I knew who I would choose for any future events that I were to have! Without a doubt, I used Nancy's Cake Designs again for another special event. The cake she made the second time around was just superb! I had so many compliments about the cake (i.e., design, taste, texture of the cake, etc.).
