Awful company with dubious tech. We lived in Toronto and were recommended NanaWall by our contractor, there started a whole lot of pain. The extrusion was warped from the start, too much pressure on the door handle, they later admitted the extrusion was poor and it got worse when in direct sunlight, we had multiple handles fitted, strengthening bars that did little and each time the service guys have to remove the door and the glass inner, scratched it on every occasion and damaging my new deck, one "service" to install bar and handle was in minus 5 weather because the installers are an added problem. We just sold the house after 4 years of hell with the product, now it's someone else';s issue, good riddance, save your money, would give zero stars if possible as it could not have been a worse experience. read more

Love the NanaWall folding window and door systems that we installed in 2018. These have made a huge difference in our living spaces that open up to our backyard and patio. They are functional, elegant and durable. They do require occasional fine tuning as with any high tech mechanical device, and the 10 year warranty is also great for peace of mind. We installed three of these systems and one had an issue that was quickly resolved recently. The key is to make sure your contractor measures correctly and advises whether you want an in-swing or Out-swing stack based on how you use your space and then also use a competent installer. They also have sliding or pocket systems now I believe. read more

Their installer was a true professional craftsman. While we did have a few issues along the way that I won't bore you with I will say that NanaWall and the installation company staff was courteous and timely in all of their responses and professional 100% in taking care of things and making sure we were happy. Looked around at many different doors and the Nanawall system was the one I wanted due to the fact that the doors are floor supported, lines were clean and it was energy efficient. I was willing to pay the slightly higher price and longer wait times for the performance. My order did not go smooth as my brokered contractor messed up the initial order and poorly communicated with Nanawall that further extended the wait. However, as soon as Dan at Nanawall was involved communication was on point and he saved a lot of frustration. I leave this at 4 stars as there was still a shipment error, but for the most part, Nanawall came through. Excited to have the doors and hopefully the doors last a long time read more

The product is wonderful (have always loved the product) but we were having issues with performance (getting stuck, hard to lock, etc.). First a 3rd party service company came out and they were great. They spent quite a bit of time here trying to diagnose the issue (with a laser device). They did what they could do and it seemed fine (great service for the price they charged). A week or so later, similar problem. We called NanaWall and they were responsive and came out to diagnose and fix part of the issue. We are now just waiting on a part to fix the rest of it. read more

*Buyer Beware* Same part has now failed twice within 8 years, not covered under warranty, so far $500/year cost of ownership for a door... look elsewhere for a better product & service. What a joke, after a ton of back and forth they still refused to replace the part under warranty. The service manager then handed me off to a "Customer Success" manager who proceeded to continue to blame me for the failure and then offered to cover the part cost if I removed my reviews of the company. From the start: salesman took our 50% non- refundable down payment, and no longer responded to calls or emails. Delivery: full on hands-on responsibility for the homeowner to get it off the truck, with a full week of "we'll call you when 30 mins out". Installation: costs $2300 (not disclosed at time of sale) PLUS I also have to pay a contractor to prep the already correctly sized opening to a revised 1 inch additional on 3 sides, for the certified installer (who wants pictures before he'll schedule install). Certified Installer left me with same 1" opening to outside air in Ohio February. Said "we don't insulate", but suggested we go to hardware and "buy the pink stuff" for the open air gaps. $2300 and he couldn't do that?! Final product is really nice, but not the color/finish we ordered. Get a lawyer and an engineer on retainer before you consider Nanawall. read more

Bought 2 Nanawall SL 60 bifolds and they are so nice. The process was super easy and the installer Hector was knowledgeable and professional. He came out before the window was ordered which helped know where to frame out for the new bifold window I wish he could have installed the windows from Pella on the rest of the home too. Bought my house in mid 2018 with Nanawall 3-panel door installed. While looking at it, the Realtor said the owner requested that we be careful with the Nanawall. I later found out why. In 3 years we have been here, the top hinge on the door we use every day has broken 3 times ($72 part). I replaced it twice myself since the nearest service person is a 4-hour drive away. Because of this we are very careful with the door. Nevertheless, it broke again this morning. We will now replace the entire system with doors that have some durability. (The handle also fell off, which I fixed.) I don't recommend this system. read more

Have lived with eleven Nana Wall panels and two doors for 11 years now. Lived with, but not enjoyed. From early on we were afraid to open them all the way across as they were practically impossible to close. They HAD to be closed in a particular order that was weird and never really worked. They turned out to be $65,000 worth of tall windows. My advice would be NOT to install them oceanfront (corrosion) and definitely not in Hawaii as they have no one here to service them or properly install them. Although we had expensive work done on them recently, they still do not operate sufficiently to encourage opening them. We only open them every couple of months to lubricate all the metal parts and tracks. So now they are just windows that require extra maintenance! read more

They are looking into our problem (can open the door but not close it) and will up them to five when they get it resolved. One drawback is they outsource repairs. NanaWall is the Rolls Royce of these large open accordion style doors. Surprisingly only cost a teeny bit more than most competing products and was less expensive than others. I extensively researched and got quotes from La Cantina, Western Windows and Panoramic Doors. Because NanaWall is so custom and comes in such a dazzling variety of options, we needed a lot of help in determining our best fit. Brad Burden was super helpful. He came to our house, examined the remodel area and was great in suggesting our options and the tradeoffs. He then hooked us up with Kris Trevino whose service is incredible. We went to the NanaWall Emeryville showroom where he walked us through all our options. His knowledge is simply spectacular. He gave us all the CAD drawings, figured out the Title 24 requirements, came up with the right size width and height, did the co-ordination with the installer, the delivery people, was super prompt about answering all our questions before and after the install. These guys are simply a model service team. We now have a 18 foot triple pane SL60 looking into our back yard. Thanks to these guys, we now have our ten year dream of installing a NanaWall come true! read more

We purchased the folding door system only to discover condensation covering the glass on most mornings. This makes the glass opaque and impossible to see through. No other window in the house has this condensation. After literally 20 emails back and forth, NanaWall denied any responsibility saying that the condensation is somehow beneficial. I attempted to explain the window does not even meet the most basic definition of window, as it is opaque. Support staff were frankly rude and dismissed any attempt to correct the problem, particularly Solomon. We feel taken advantage of and deeply disappointed in the product. NanaWall failed to take any steps to correct any their own product's defect. read more

After contacting the corporate headquarters for the company, the truly AMAZING Lee Roberts who runs installation got right on the case. For my home renovation project bi-fold doors were a must. I looked at several brands and none of them impressed me from an engineering point of view. They looked good but like the clean lines on the NanaWall products and their doors are an engineering marvel. We visited their showroom and received expert hassle free help, they really understand the planning aspects of a project so we never felt pressured to purchase. If fact we did not purchase until a year later, they had all of our original paperwork available and the purchase contract was a snap. They beat their quoted lead-time by weeks, they also advise you status during the doors build-time. The delivery also went hitch free. We just LOVE our NanaWall! read more

Buyer beware of the additional installation cost and being at the mercy of one certified installer who does not respond to your phone calls. In fact, not the NanaWall employees nor the "certified" installer responds to emails nor phone calls. I'm filing a formal complaint and I am in the process of returning this shotty door. I don't know how they stay in business. Their website is beautiful but mea culpa I should have asked a few contractors their thoughts on the Nana doors. It may be too late for me but don't take a chance. Look at other options with companies who stand behind their product and stand behind their product with excellent customer service. read more

I just got my Nanawall SL60, 5 panel doors installed a couple of days ago. I have read the negative reviews and so far I don't understand why. Like most people I wanted a Nanawall door for years before I got it installed. The process from beginning to end was pleasant and very professional, even with Covid. The doors arrived earlier than anticipated. They were installed by a very competent and friendly installer (Ryan) who made the whole experience of installation, fun. He was fantastic. So far my doors are great and I have no complaints. They look beautiful. I would highly recommend Nanawall to anyone who is considering these kinds of doors. read more

So in 2007 I spent 75g on NanaWalls for my beach front restaurant in San Diego. At first they looked and worked beautiful. Four years later they completely fell apaert, to the point that they were dangerous. During the four years I had them I had to replace atleast 40 hand levers used to open the windows at $40 a pop. During the four years I had to have them serviced twice at 3g a pop. When I complained to them they basically blow me off giving me a new bid to replace them at 75G. This company is a Joke. I gave them 2 stars instead of zero stars because the door itself is nice. Getting to the point of installation was very difficult. From ordering it, to Nana moving delivery dates 4 times and then requiring payment the day they drop the door without prior notice it was showing up that day. Also I had to the installers reschedule me 4 times. Then they were suppose to go over the installation and how it operates and inspect for damage but they still haven't shown up. Pretty disappointing. I have built over 400 homes and this operation that Nana has is extremely poor and lacks elementary communication skills. A follow-up: Mr Nana has a very solid, well spoken employee in his service department. Travis has worked with me over the last 2 months to rectify our door problem. Mr Nana generously agreed to replace the improperly ordered door panel and have it installed at their cost. I greatly appreciated him resolving my problem with alacrity and taking the time to get to the facts of the problem. As well, Travis confirmed the details of the replacement order with me, and even sent out replacement locks so all doors would have matching keys. As I've stated previously, these are beautiful doors, and really allow you to have a continuous indoor-outdoor space. We have a large outdoor entertainment area, and this product allows us to take advantage of this optimally. read more
