Visited Vancouver, new Westminster, we are disgusted with the lack of washroom facilities. my…read morehusband is 73 years old with stage 4 prostate cancer, we were looking for a washroom at the train station in new west minster station, with no luck, my husband was beside himself trying to hold it in. not one shop or restaurant would allow us to use the washroom, it was humiliating for my husband , we will let our family and friends know, NOT to visit your city. So disgusted with your transit system.

I tend to avoid it…read morebecause a lot of Visitor Centers don't have useful information and the workers seem miserable and unhelpful. This particular place was the opposite! They gave us maps, directions to different attractions, and helped us figure out the public transit. You may have to swallow some traveler's pride but it will save you a lot of time and stress if you just go and talk to a local who's used to answering questions!

We were wondering what we can do in Squamish. We came to the Visitor Information to find out more…read more We spoke to the lady working there and she was somewhat clueless. I think she was trying her best but because she lived in the area, many of the things that she can do everyday will not be considered as tourist things/spots. There is a Squamish themed gift shop in the Visitor Information center but the items for sale wasn't that much special or unique other than having the Squamish logo on it. Along the wall outside of the gift shop is a list of things to do brochure. Many of them directed visitors to visit Whistler instead. I believe when thinking of travelling or going somewhere, Whistler comes to mind and not Squamish.

Or you can ask them what is fun to do around Gibson. There are free brochures that you can grab here. They also have some free goods that you can pick up. Further up is a gorgeous lookout from Young Hill. This is a National Park so you can get your passport stamped. The husband and wife volunteers are quite knowledgeable and willing to share info on the camps history or the Osprey that are currently nesting up in the woods. They set up a camera so you can watch the birds on an iPad from the barracks. In the back of the main building there is a 12 minute video explaining how the British and Americans fought over a boar being shot. Eventually the British left and Americans took over. This was an excellent experience. Highly recommend not driving past the small sign!

I'm handicapped and they even gave me a ride back to my car in a people mover from the property. The hill is a little bit steep but doable slowly for people with a cane. I am a disabled veteran, so I really appreciate their hospitality. The gift shop was quite amazing. It offered not only a lot of items that you would like to see if there was also food on the property that you could get from vendors one of Mr. nonprofit that supports the park. But I really liked the English garden and the barracks were well-maintained and they have a 17 minute video that explains the history of it which came in very handy understanding its progress and process. If we have longer, I will return and spend more time looking around, but if we don't, I know I got to the place that I thought was a pretty special place. Highly recommended.

It's large,…read morebright, has clean restrooms, and a friendly, helpful staff who are eager to share their knowledge of the area with you. We stopped because we had to find a clean restroom, but we found extremely reasonably priced gifts and stellar service. There are earrings, soaps, jams, and books by local artists. There are displays about the local flora and fauna. I purchased a cool Sasquatch t-shirt. There are tons of brochures and maps. The women working here were charming and chatty and suggested that we try to squeeze a drive-through of Chemainus into our journey to the Duke Point ferry, which we did, I highly encourage you to stop here for the hospitality, the locally-made goods, and the clean restrooms! They also have EV charging stations and are next to a discovery center that you could spend more time exploring.
