Vacation Planning + Review…read more EDA Travel Ltd is a nice little agency that is tucked away into a tiny shopping plaza. It is by far one of the smallest places you'll find with almost no way to recognize it as it does not stick out from it's surrounding stores at all! They barely have any advertising or signage outside and they definitely don't have any colorful displays of anything that will draw your attention to them, but that being said, it is everything on the inside that counts; from a travel agency stand point, that is referring to their staff. Our family has been planning a vacation to Japan in Asia and a friend in Richmond recommended someone by the name of Elsa to us that works at EDA. She is a wonderful person with a definite heart that is willing to work out anything and everything for your traveling needs. She helped us organize all our travel plans from flight, taxi, tours, and hotels without a single bit of pressure. She even continued to help us shop for deals AFTER hotels have already been booked. So even after reserving hotels, she would send us information for a cheaper and better hotels around the same area, then proceed to help us do all the paper work. Our trip isn't due till mid-May, but judging from the attention to detail, friendly staff, and no pressure attitude, this trip is already looking pretty great! If you're looking for a Chinese travel agency and around the Richmond area, give this place a shot, or maybe just walk in and ask for information so you can judge their service yourself. Instead of spending at least six hours driving and ferrying from Vancouver to Port Alberni, it was an hour's drive to the airport and then a 35-minute flight from the Seaplane Terminal (at YVR) to the Harbour Quay (in PA). Our pilot Randy was great. The flight was smooth and quick. I even streamed the flights on Periscope.TV since we were flying low enough to get great LTE cell reception throughout our short time in the air. It was alternative I stumbled across trying to figure out a faster route to our island destination. My colleague and I were certainly happy we discovered this 'as the crow flies shortcut' to Port Alberni. My only disappointment was not seeing any sea life in the Strait of Georgia - it would have fantastic to observe a pod of killer whales or dolphins swimming below in the ocean - but maybe next time.
