Have been coming here for 2 years and I used to love it but a lot of really good technicians are leaving. 3 of my favorites have left. Unfortunately, I will not be retuning as a customer. I refuse to go back to such a poorly run establishment. I had an appt a few months ago but someone called me 2 hours beforehand to tell me my technician was out sick so I ended up going to a newer person and really didn't love her work. Sweet lady though! I recently had another appointment and they cancelled it 40 minutes beforehand because "I didn't confirm my appointment". He proceeded to tell me that all appts will get cancelled if the customer doesn't confirm after a few notifications. I never received anything to confirm, nor did anyone call. The owner (Nami) and receptionist were disgusting! On 5/20 at 8:55am I went onto their appointment booking site to see what appointments were available for that same day. They had a 9am to my surprise so I booked it right away (I live very close by so I was able to walk over in 5 minutes). When I get there the receptionist is already in a bad mood and tells me that because I had just booked the appointment a few minutes ago that I had to wait 1-2 hours for the lash tech to come. I was confused because there should not be a 9am appointment sowing as available at 8:55am the same day if the lash tech has to be called to come in. Unless she lives across the street there is no way they could get someone in on time. I received a confirmation at 8:59am saying my booking was accepted and Tanisha would be my lash tech. Why would I get this text if NO TECH was available. To make matters WORSE, the receptionist told me that owner wasn't available today and that the only thing she could do is rebook me for a later appointment which to me was unacceptable. I was so upset that I stood outside the salon for a few minutes and guess who pulls up???? The OWNER (Nami), who was supposed to be unavailable for today. She must have heard the issue because she barely stopped to speak to me. I told her that the receptionist was nasty and the appointment should've never been made available if no tech was there, her response was "Do you think they live here?" Whattttt?? How do you say that to a long term customer!?!? How am I supposed to know that the techs are called in only for appointments? I assumed they were there from 9-5 like most people at any other job. I have walked in a few times with no appointment and was able to get serviced so the fact that they expected me to know that they needed to call a lash tech in is beyond me. Thanks for reading this far... This is all to say that if they treat repeat and loyal customers with this much disregard for their time, imagine how they treat first time customers? I will not be coming back here unless I get a personal apology from Nami herself. Today I went for 3D: I want my eyes to look extra special, and yes, everyone will know those are extensions but let me tell you, these are good, evenly placed and smooth extensions that don't sting your eye. I made an appointment for 4p for Zarina at their Rego Park location, upon arrival I was not greeted and no one was in the front desk I waited until someone came out and I told them I had an appointment with Zarina. Zarina then comes out and tells me I need to wait another 45mins - 1 hour because she is still with her client because her client came late. They should've notified me beforehand so I know to come a little later... Luckily I do not live too too far so I didn't mind coming back. When I came back I bought the 3D volume lash extensions prior online, and I spoke to Zarina as I never gotten 3D volume before and I showed her picture of how I will like them from their instagram page. Unfortunately, I was disappointmented in how they came out it was nothing that I asked for and it was not volume at all.... I messaged Nami Beauty the day after and told them my lashes was irritating and my eyelids was very itchy they told me to come back and that they can fix it for me. I've gotten lash extensions done before and I never experience this much irritation.. I went back and another lash tech translated to Zarina what I was looking for and if she can fixed it. Zarina then proceeds to fix them for me but she was not gentle at all I kept tearing the whole process and I told her to be gentle and she told me she cannot because I keep moving mind you I was not moving at all, I told her she was hurting me and I kept on having to squint and blink my eyes I was so uncomfortable and she was very rude and not gentle at all.. She fixed them but I was still not satisfied and I spoke to the other lash tech and she said this is how 3D volume looks like as I never gotten 3D volume before and as no one discuss with me what kind of lashes I wanted and how they will look like during my arrival.. Most lashes places, show you the style, length and will pick something that will fit your eye shape unfortunately no one helped me at all. A few days later a few lashes has come off and my eyes was irritating me for at least 1-2x days.. It hasn't even been a week and my lashes are about 60% full as so many came off.. Great beauty salon. Very good atmosphere. Everything seems to be brand new, the service is good as well.I decided to do the deep cleaning , because I had lots of blackheads. The procedure was relaxing and result is good , my skin now feels much better and perfect clean. I also did passive gymnastic thing, since I missed gym today. BEWARE!!! Nami Beauty is a joke and a waste of time - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Let me start by saying I was a loyal customer of this salon so this is an HONEST review of what happened to me. In short, I got my lashes done on a Friday (with their Thanksgiving promo) at their Manhattan location and by Sunday, I experienced a substantial amount of my extensions falling out. Naturally as a unsatisfied customer, I reached out to Nami Beauty via their DMs to resolve the situation. They responded quickly and said that I could come in the next day and have them redone for free. I was delighted to hear this and asked if I should return to their Manhattan location and they confirmed yes. Mind you, this is the day before Christmas Eve so traveling to the city during this time of year isn't the most conducive because of the holidays. Nevertheless, to be safe, I arrived 30 minutes before my appointment and when I tried to open the building door - it was LOCKED. I went ahead and called the Manhattan location's front desk, no answer - I called the Queens location and find out there is no one there to service me - WOW! So now I'm on the phone with the Queens location and they asked me if I could come to Queens instead - at 5pm from Manhattan?! No. So they asked if I could come on Christmas Eve - HELL NO! So, after 15 minutes of back and forth, they said I could choose another date and time. From here, I really should have called it quits and requested a refund but I'm attending a NYE wedding and wanted to have my eyelashes done so I went ahead and book another appointment - when booking this one, I reconfirmed that I wanted the original service of 2D Cat Eye lashes. Would you believe that they tried to make me pay $20 to get the original service I paid for - NO WAY! IM COMING TO GET A REDO SERVICE, WHY WOULD I BE PAYING ANYTHING?! RIDICULOUS!! Fast forward, now I'm at my current (and LAST) appointment in Queens - thinking this would be a better option/location to come to, WRONG!!! I come in today and was ushered into a back room for almost 2.5 hrs just to open my eyes and see that I have natural looking lashes - WTF - my lashes look like I'm a teenager and I know I'm right because another lash tech came in and said "oh, natural" - what about 2D Cat Eye lashes should look short and natural?!! When I complained about it at the front, they said they can add more lashes to make it look like a cat eye - NO MA'AM - YOU ALL HAVE WASTED TOO MUCH OF MY TIME! SO I LEFT DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED AGAIN! Upon leaving, I called back because I really couldn't believe this happened and I let them know that at this point I need a refund. After being on hold and a bunch of back and forth with management, they said that they would give me a refund if I came back and TOOK OFF THE LASHES. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! I'm at the train station and you're telling me I need to come back and take off these teenager eyelashes to get a refund? Absolutely not, you wasted my time THREE damn times - I'm not giving you another second and with my eyes closed?! Absolutely not. So goodbye and good riddance to Nami Beauty - I really loved their work at one point in time but this experience has completely and utterly turned me off. After coming here happily for half a year, I'm sad to say I probably won't be back. I had an appointment back in the beginning of February and had spoken to a manager about receiving a discount due to having scheduled my appointment with a lash tech that had a promo going on at the time being out sick. I wasn't going to receive the same promo price but I was still happy to be accommodated with a different lash tech and given some discount. When I got to my appointment, I was told the tech who will be filling in for my appointment was running late and I was completely fine with waiting. I had previously had this tech and requested and explained the same style I always got with her. I ended up waiting a little over 30mins and it ended up with her rushing my service. When she finished, I was a little disappointed with the result not being what I described but I was okay with it. Now when it was time to pay, she was not aware of the discount I was promised and was about to charge me full price. When I explained to her my conversation with the manager, she was agitated and asked me to call the person. Nothing was resolved with this phone call and she then gave me major attitude and told me to just pay whatever I was told and just stormed off. I was really upset to see her attitude with me as it was not my fault she was not told about this. I never received any form of "apology" or just anything either when I later messaged the manager who contacted me. This tech always seemed to have a bit of an attitude with me in the past and I tried to overlook it then but this time was just hurtful as a loyal client. The lashes didn't even last long, they began falling out immediately and after a week and a half, I was left with few lashes. I was really disappointed after my last experience but I hope the experience is always positive for others. I've only ever had mostly positive experiences in the past so this was really disappointing for me. The technician has attitude, the glue they use is highly irritating and they just don't a good job, plus if you ask them tweak what you may not be happy with, you will get attitude. Additionally the owner has her children climbing the bars you need to pass through to get inside.... I loved the before & after pics of their tech on IG and booked an appointment at their Rego Park, Queens location. The salon is brand new and very clean and professional. PLEASE THINK BEFORE COMING HERE and before doing any permanent or any semi permanent service. I initially came in for Lip blushing because I fell into the trendy TikTok / Instagram lip blush trend. I was excited to wake up looking naturally flushed with no makeup to minimal makeup wear. I did extensive research and still fell victim to getting botched. I had asked for a Natural Lip blush color. I specifically showed multiple pictures of what I wanted. (Also, don't reference their photos on their Instagram page. They're super edited and a false representation of immediately after and healed lip blush results. It's misleading and false). The person that worked on me was a guy name Sodnom. Sodnom proceeded to ensure me that my lips would be as natural as possible. I noticed everyone there is Russian and or from Kyrgyzstan. I even spoke to the owner to make sure there was no language barrier on what I wanted. When I left, my lips were super red and I was worried it was too bright but I was ensured by Sodnom that it was just the pigment and it would look natural when it healed. A week goes by and the color starts turning pink. Second week goes by, the color is pinker. I contacted the owner via Instagram and showed her videos and photos of how bright my lips were. Its a month later and the color ended up being a bright blue toned pink! I was horrified. It looks like I have Barbie pink lipstick on. Devastated, I was told by the owner that her ONLY solution was to have her employee Sodnom darken it and change the tone. I had told her this is not what I paid for. This service already is super expensive. If you research Lip blushing you're paying anywhere from $350-800. Imagine how I felt! She told me that my option was to darken it to neutralize it or laser it off. She also mentioned using a lip scrub to remove the pigment. When I mentioned that I couldn't go to work like this, her solution was to apply a beige lipstick to cover their mistake. This is unacceptable. There was NO way I was going to let them touch my lips after this experience. I explained to the owner that this was wrong and that the needed to rectify the situation. I paid for a service that was not rendered correctly. She now continues to ignore my messages and won't refund me my money. I disputed it with the bank and she took the money back. Nami Beauty has DESTROYED my lips and confidence. I wake up daily with bright pink lipstick. I am now paying hundreds of dollars to remove this bright blue toned pink from my lips. I constantly cry due to how I don't recognize or feel like myself anymore when I look in the mirror. Daily I have to put lipstick on to hide this hideous bright pink color. I have no choice but to wear lipstick outside even when I don't want to wear makeup. The point of getting lip blushing done was to wear NO makeup to minimal makeup. I have undergone two magnetic tattoo removal treatments and its still bright. Mind you, it is painful and costly. I'm now spending my entire summer covering myself in masks and removing this every 2-3 weeks. I am now depressed and insecure. Ladies PLEASE don't fall into the hype of trendy makeup looks. NEVER would I have thought this would happen to me. Instead of being happy with what God gave me and how He made me, I am now suffering these consequences. Please don't make my same mistake in trusting these people with your face. When I look in the mirror or have to apply lipstick, I am reminded daily of this regretful decision. SO clean, the staff is SO kind (especially the blonde @ the front desk!) and the technicians are actually the best of the best. I have been seeing the technician named YANA since she started at Nami and she is by far the best I have ever had. I am so particular about my lashes and she makes them perfect every single time And makes sure I leave happy. She is by far the best talent I've seen. They can make your lashes as natural or as thick as you want. Prices are extremely fair for the quality you'll receive. They also last a lot longer than any salon I've been to before. I can go up to 6 weeks without needing a touch up. If you are looking for an incredible lash place, lashes that don't fall out after a couple weeks and incredible service.. go to Nami.
