The best Chi Tea! Awesome pastries. I just wish the staff was friendlier. Not very welcoming.

This place is a 6 star location because it combines the best of both worlds - coffee and a bakery!!…read more When I'm traveling (I'm from Key Largo) I first look for a coffee roaster as they are ALWAYS the best places for an epic latte. My second rule is if it's an ice cream shop or a bakery or a breakfast / lunch spot.... the score goes down because the coffee is usually and afterthought. Well this place broke all of the rules.... BOTH THE BAKERY IS EPIC AND THE COFFEE IS EVEN BETTER! The only thing I didn't like is there is just so much pride stuff. I get it - I'm from the FL keys which used to be one of the main places for LGBT communities (back in the day it was only LGBT). Key West / San Fran and Province Town - those were the only true open communities. But now it's nationwide and it's actually world wide for the most part. From my viewpoints LGB is 100% just part of society and we don't have much flag waiving in the keys because nobody cares - we are all just one big family. It didn't take away from the expense it was just a little too forward.

It's not a knock on the city, it's just that it's a 9 hour drive from Houston! I found this gem on a recent road trip through the Midwest. I was making a drive from Dallas and used ChatGPT to find me the best coffee between Dallas and Abilene, KS. Reverie Coffee Roasters popped up and Yelp reviews looked favorable so I plugged it into the GPS. I don't know the area, but it seemed to be located in their downtown area right off the interstate. I found street parking right out front and unsure if they have a dedicated lot. This place was alot bigger than I expected. Walking in is like a storefront with coffee and merch for sale, as well as where you order. Then they have a huge dining area with lots of seating as well as a patio out back. It looks like a perfect place to catch up with your peeps, read a good book or study. It was busy so the staff was straight business but in a polite and helpful way. They started off as a wholesale coffee roaster. They source their coffee from all around the world. On my visit, I saw coffees from Columbia, Guatemala, Mexico, Ethiopia, and Nicaragua. They also offer every type of brewing method like pour over, drip, chemex, cold brew, French press, etc. The fact that they do all that different sourcing and preparation methods shows me they care about putting out a superior product. My original plan was to grab a cup of joe and keep it moving to my destination, but after walking in and seeing they had nice looking pastries, I decided to get my order and enjoy it there. I love all things s'mores and saw they have a s'mores latte. I had to get it. Another weakness of mine is cinnamon rolls. I saw it on display and had to have it. They heat it up before serving it. I was able to find a cozy corner of the restaurant. My order got called shortly after. The latte was amazing. I could taste the little nuances of a s'more. They even topped the drink with a marshmallow drizzle. I savored that drink. Now let me sing the praise of that cinnamon roll. Hands down the best cinnamon roll I've had. This was a brioche cinnamon roll. They heated it up just right and the icing was just gooey enough without running off the roll. It was soft and oh so delectable. The sweet icing didn't mask the delicious buttery brioche either. Bite of that, then sip of the coffee was a match made in heaven. I had no intention of finishing this generous portion, but I simply could not let it go to waste either. Needless to say, I was on the struggle bus driving on to my next destination. If somehow I could replicate this place and put one in Houston, I would be the happiest man. I will most definitely come back through next time I drive through Wichita!

Would like to thank this local Starbucks for helping me get through the week of 8/23. (And for my…read morecolleague as well, since he likely doesn't use Yelp.) But yeah. If you think this parking lot sucks, the one near my house in St. Louis is the WORST design configuration ever, and I want to smack whomever came up with that shit. This one is a little tight, yea, but it's not the end of the world. FAR from the madness that is the 5th street Starbucks back home. All the employees here were very friendly and for the most part, quite efficient! Even the drive through (which I only utilized once) was insanely quick. I'd say we had a sufficient enough sample size to determine this place was on-point. The only thing that sucked? Construction right at the 54 ramp made this place reallllly annoying to get to. But could effectively walk from hotel too so that was a plus, only we more or less drove every morning. Really is not Starbuck's fault for the construction, but it did not seem to be hindering their business. Plus the lot is designed such that you can effectively drive away from the construction by a block or two, make a left, make another left, and cut through some back lots to get to theirs. So at least you can do that. I wish I could say that about the hotel though...ugh. Also their Strawberry Shortcake frappuchino is reminiscent of Captain Crunch Berries....just sayin'.

So I woke up this morning and decided I finally wanted to try the famous pumpkin spice latte, well…read moreguys, never again! This tiny drink in my hand was an ungodly 5.85!!!! And it didn't even taste like pumpkin OR spice. And it was missing ANY foam and the whipped cream that was supposed to be included. And I also had to wait in the drive through for fifteen minutes even though it was 2:30, and I ordered through my app. Which btw never has any offers, deals, or discounts. And the rewards points accrued EXPIRE. And their food menu is so old it never changes, and they're usually out half the stuff anyways. so annoying. So over it. Bye bye Starbucks.

My boyfriend and I stopped here as this is his step-mom's favorite coffee place (she HATES Dutch…read moreBros lol). She recommended one of their mochas with coconut (may have been the German Chocolate flavor, I honestly don't recall what it was called), but she swore it was delicious, and of course, that's what I got, but half sweet. My boyfriend always gets an Iced half sweet Mocha, and he enjoyed his as well. The reason why I gave 4 stars was that the drive-thru line was super long, and we decided to walk up. However, it was unclear where to order as they don't have an ordering window. But if you stand near the sliding glass door, a barista will come out to take your order, so that threw me off. But now you and I know for next time (you're welcome, lol). The barista, though, was very nice and helpful as I needed to also purchase a gift card for the boyfriend's step-mom as her birthday was coming up. They also gave me a coupon for a free medium drink, so I gave that to his step-mom too, as we were headed to NE and wouldn't be back anytime soon. This location is in the Lowe's parking lot, and it seems they only have one drive-up window. They only have one bench outside their sliding glass door, where the barista comes out, as they are primarily a drive-through, so the ambiance is outdoorsy. Not a place you sit down and catch up at, as it is in a Lowes parking lot lol. At least you can sit there and wait for your beverage to take a quick break before you go about your day. I do think they are better than Dutch Bros, but we don't have 7 Brew here in WA. But that (possibly called) German Chocolate Iced Mocha was sooo good. I'd be back when I'm in town.

Super quick and friendly!! I go every week and the drinks are always super good!! Love it here!read more

Don't come in the back if you like to use the term "hipsters" to refer to atmosphere, because sorry my dude, you ain't a cool kid. Or maybe you are. Hipsters call other hipsters "hipsters" sometimes. I like their hummus, I hear it's from N&J's (or used to be anyway) and I THINK I got a review for them. It's probably five stars. If you're a young lady who can sit for thirty minutes at a time, WATCH OUT! Someone might sketch you. Sorry. No one has sketched me yet, but that's because I am an elusive moth who sits in the shadows... that's what I tell myself anyway. I hear if people hang out here long enough and become regulars they fall in love. So watch out for that too. People, you know, fall out of love also. If you have a friendly dog, it's probably welcome to porch sit. Staff is friendly and always watching. Be prepared to be highly amused by the standard coffee shop artwork in a bar scenario.
