Came here for Namaste Lounge's brunch, which they also host on weekdays which is awesome since most restaurants in Long Island only offer brunch on weekends. My parents and cousin were excited to go here since it's her favorite restaurant so we made reservations and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant had massive windows with tons of natural light coming in by the dining area, which was really nice and refreshing even with the rainy weather. They also have a nice outdoor space (probably only open in the summer?) which looked nice. I let my cousin order the brunch dishes for herself and my parents, and I ordered the lamb biryani because it sounded delicious and my cousin highly recommended it. The brunch items were pretty good, even though they're dishes I normally don't like to eat. Those fries were delicious, drenched in this addictive tangy sauce and cooked perfectly. (Not crispy though) That biryani was amazing and this may be oddly weird, but that layer of dough on top to keep it hot and juicy, fell in my biryani and got mixed in by accident, but it tasted really good too- it soaked up the thick spices on the lamb. That biryani was the best I've had in my life so, highly recommend that! Side note - use the chutneys they give you. They're flavor boosters and delicious! Enjoyed the food here and the service was good during our meal on my only visit but there was a Bollywood night on and they were charging other non-diners £10 to get in. Obviously to make as much money as possible, they were just letting everyone in (not accounting for how many were already inside) and this made for an extremely uncomfortable evening in the bar area as it was packed solid and most certainly would have a health and safety concern. Getting served at the bar (even getting to the bar) was next to impossible due to too many people in the venue and staff not being able to cope. We haven't been back again since then due to not liking the feeling of being a sardine packed in a tin! Music was good, toilets were a mess (not being regularly checked at all) and door staff were friendly yet professional. read more

Namaste means 'Greetings' in Hindi, traditionally said with folded hands. The most quintessential Indian mannerism. Particularly used when a guest is ushered inside a home. This is one thing we missed during our visit. We didn't feel that we were welcome. May be I am being bit harsh but it was the wife's birthday and I chose the venue and when the staff act cold and indifferent it does ruin the moment. The ambiance is good, ample parking, a Seesha lounge and brilliant outdoor seating - which I believe was recently redone - it could be a star if the staff do one thing right - welcome the customer with a smile. Wither they were having a bad day or something else going on it was definitely not busy, we were the first customer in. We were seated and menus given and orders taken but that personal attention and 'connect' was missing. We ordered the regular stuff that you order in an Indian lounge, lots of different starters to try and then some light mains - nothing was out of the ordinary. Food was just all right. Booze was expensive (more than £5 for a pint of lager, I had Tiger!) but was not worth it considering the extremely Luke warm service- and on top of that they added a mandatory 10% service charge. We got a feeling that as the service progressed there was a little improvement but too little and too little too late and we had to try hard to get the attention of the staff. They gave what we asked but there didn't ask what we needed. By then we had made up our mind never to go back. Really good Indian food in Northwood! It's usually easy to get a reservation on OpenTable. Namaste is a little pricier than most Indian restaurants in the UK but it's more upscale too. It's clean, has a full bar, a decent wine selection and the servers are all very nice. Chicken tikka, grilled fish, and, you can get salad! The Punjabi salad is my favorite, if you need something healthy along with your curry try it! read more

Used Deliveroo to order dinner for two which ran about £70; maybe we got too much.. anyway, delivery was quick, good packaging, food was hot; thanks Deliveroo.. Food was tbh, pretty mediocre, especially considering the price and the reputation of the place. Some parts of the dishes appeared pre-made or bought in; overall it felt unspectacular. That said plenty spices and heat so if thats your thing go for it. Tandoor dishes seems to be best dishes with great char flavour and seasoning.. Tl;dr: it wasn't bad, it wasn't great either. Yes, it hit the spot! Their chilli lamb is the best I have had. Highlights: Food was delicious, cooked to perfection and ample quantity, Location was easy to find with decent parking, Staff was friendly with good decor and set up. Can improve: Maybe make it a little more inviting, but not a big issue at all. Benchmark: They set the standard along with Delhi Spice and Everest Lounge. Dined in June 2015 and will definitely be returning. I focused more on their starters but I would say you can't go wrong with anything you order. read more

Before this place did a whole refurb, it was a standard, table chair indian place and food was A-OK! Now that it looks like a hip, posh joint out of central london, this place is heaving, and more so now than before when it opened. Why so, because of that show Desi Rascals. Before filming even took place, there was no curfew on the table, meaning you can sit, eat and enjoy time with your friends properly, you weren't rushed to hurry up and finish your food. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but the service is pretty slow! The chicken and meat dishes here are good, less so for the vegetarian food though. Drink prices are a staggering central london price for a joint in northwood! You'd think you're in mayfair when you step in, but once you step out again, its just harrow isn't it!!! After desi rascals, this place now has 2.5 hour table curfew, bascially as soon you get there, order your food, hurry up and eat and get the hell out of there!!! No where in london even does that!!! They are so packed, they can't even maintain the level of service!! Only reason I give it two stars, is because the food is good, otherwise I wouldn't want to be seen in this place! Its nice, yes, but do you want to be so rushed out that you can't even chew your food?!?! And always check your bill if you go, they will double charge you!!!! Then they will put the blame on you, then you have to go to all measures of speaking to the manager, who finally sorts it out for you. Paan flavour shisha!!!!! YAAAAAAAAY!! I come here only for the shisha since it's private and decently priced. It's always busy though, I once had to ask four times for water -__- however, it's pretty nice amidst all the typical *bloop bloop* boys and I'm pretty much a regular here now considering the free parking just next door. The restaurant is separate but is very fancy, pretty upper class I'd say so it wouldn't be a bad idea for a birthday or for even an event I'd say. read more

This place is entirely about appearances and lacks any real substance. The venue itself appears to be quite glamorous, attracting a young, mostly Asian, crowd. However the dining experience was woeful. Arriving at the bar I had to jostle to be served as youngsters pushed their way in with no respect for others. Once I was seated for dinner with our party (11 in total) it was obvious that the place is cramped and packed in with diners. We'd booked a table for 12 and were given a table for 10, so our 11th guest had to sit on the end of a table right on top of the table next to us. Staff were arrogant, rude and lacked any empathy. I ordered a Guinness and was brought a pint of Heineken, when I explained I had ordered a Guinness, instead of an apology I was instead interrogated and accused of lying. The food was enjoyed by all, but having been told the table had to be cleared within 2 hours, our order for mains still hadn't been taken 2 1/2 hours after arriving. Members of our party had to go and retrieve menus and literally force someone to take our order. Arrived at 7:30pm didn't get out until 11:30pm. Simply awful. read more

I came here to the Shisha bar, it was ok but nothing special. The staff took ages to come over and take our order, even though it was not too busy and we only ordered drinks and shisha. The service was quite slow and not very attentive at all. I wouldn't come back here. read more

Had a long day at work, thought we would pop down to Namaste for some shisha and something to eat. Me and my girlfriend order 1 shisha, and something to eat, next thing we knew the bill was £62 when it's normally £48. The guy double charged us for someone else's bill on top of that the customer service was very poor, no smile or nothing, to top it of even more there was 1 parking space in the corner to park, which we couldn't even park, cause someone had not parked in the boxes for others to park. Went inside to inform someone to see who's car it was...spoke to Douglas the waiter, was advised that it was the boses car which he was not present, funny enough Douglas the waiter was seen by myself opening the bosses car. I do have pictures of the actually space size which no one could park their car due to the way the boss had parked. Very poor poor service, being over charged not giving 100% on customer service, will not be coming back again. Lost a loyal customer. read more
