Date of Visit: 25/10/2022.
Fantastic decor. Good service. Good food.
I was with a colleague and we had:
Bottle of Malbec (Chilean) - £35.00
Starters:
Beef Short Rib - £10.00
Grilled King Prawns - £11.00 (I can't find them listed on the site's menu, but they were superb with the various flavours)
Mains:
Sirloin Steak - £28.00
Fillet Steak - £32.00 (This was mine, at first I thought it had been cooked well done, but once cut into, it was medium rare)
Sweets:
Cheeseboard - £12.00
Sticky Toffee Pudding - £7.00 (it was delicious)
Sauterne - £8.50 (Here's a niggle. I ordered it to go with my pudding. It arrived too late. I still enjoyed)
Discretionary Service Charge - £14.35
Total: £157.85
Another niggle... Training of staff is paramount in any restaurant. I pointed out to the person serving that a small amount of the Malbec should have been put in my glass as the taster, and once approved the other person should have been served. It is a very small matter, but I'm a bit of a stickler for etiquette. The lady took it well, as she wasn't aware and didn't take it as being pompous. Lovely lady.
Would I return? Most definitely. read more
