Baccalà! Italian for codfish... Their dessert called Ferrer Rocher is made with Baccalà. If this is a seafood that you like, you may be interested in trying it as one of the eclectic palate adventures on your list.
There was a special menu the night we dined here. A four-course meal and an entire bottle of wine was 23€. That's a deal, especially with seafood! The dishes included pizza fritta, calamarata, and filetto. Their chef really put creativity into the ingredients! I loved the menu, but the flavor of cod wasn't prominent. It isn't a pungent fish, so it's understandable that the flavor was subtle.
The most interesting part was their dessert called Ferrer Rocher made with Baccalà. This fancy flair came with a raspberry reduction sauce. Dip or drizzle? Neither for me. The concoction was truly distinctive, however I might've liked it with a creamy, and not fruity sauce. Regardless, I ate it.
The interior of the restaurant is a bit claustrophobic, but has lots of natural tones. The building stones are visible in the interior. Pretty nice! Note that WiFi isn't available in the far back, past the bar. We moved outside. Outdoor seating is pleasant in autumn.
Just a note they filter their own water, so it isn't bottled. If you're picky about that in particular, there's always a bottle of wine! read more
