Came here for a second time recently since my first visit was so amazing! This time I brought two friends with me so that I could try more of the menu, and spoiler alert: we all had a lovely meal haha. Food was delicious, service was friendly, prices were very reasonable, and the drive there was 100% worth it! Further breakdown below for what we ordered if you like planning your visit ahead of time like I do. Pulled the following prices from their menu posted on Google Reviews that they posted in August/September of 2022 so prices may have gone up due to inflation since then :') Still worth it if you ask me! (we ordered all of the below, split the bill, and ee still each paid way less than $30 per person - left feeling so full too) -[SAGANAKI] $13.95 (8/10) This is a kefalotyri cheese that is lightly floured, panfried, and then flamed with Ouzo! It is also served with a lemon. I opted to not squeeze lemon juice on my portion, but my friends assured me that the lemon helped tamp down the saltiness of this dish. That's to me is the only reason it isn't a perfect 10/10 dish was because I found it too salty when eaten on its own - would still order again though! -[TARAMOSALATA] $6.95 (10/10) This is a spread of creamy fish toe topped with Asteri extra virgin olive oil! One of my all time favorite spreads is this one haha. Their spreads are served as just a spread so you'll have to order pita separately to consume it if that was your intention. I personally like this spread (and the next one so much) that I just slather it on everything I order :D -[TZATZIKI] $5.95 (10/10) Tzatziki is typically a yogurt-based spread that consists of garlic, and cucumbers! The one they make here is so good in all possible ways. It is just salty enough, has just the right amount of garlic, and the portion is generous. -[PORK SOUVLAKI STICK] $1.85 (10/10) These sticks are sold individually - there was a slight miscommunication to our server as we tried to order just ONE stick to try first but she ended up putting the order through as three of each. She made the right call haha. The pork one was better than the chicken one if you ask me - meat was very flavorful, and juicy! -[CHICKEN SOUVLAKI STICK] $1.95 (10/10) These sticks are sold individually! First time I ordered these, they looked dry but hot damn, biting into it makes you realize that looks can certainly be deceiving. The chicken was moist and well seasoned! Absolutely delicious. -[TYROPITA] $5.95 (10/10) This is a phyllo pastry filled with feta - we originally wanted their spanakopita (feta AND spinach in the phyllo pastry) but their bakery was out of it so we opted for this variant instead. Decently sized portion for sure! Pastry was flaky as heck in the best way -[VILLAGE STYLE GREEK FRIES] $7.95 (8/10) This is a dish of fries that is traditionally dressed with imported barrel feta. Personally, I think it could use a little more like perhaps a dollop of tzatziki to liven it up but otherwise, it is certainly a good dish to pair with the spreads -[PATATES FOURNOU LEMONATES] $3.95 (10/10) Oven-roasted lemon potatoes! These must be cooked in its sauce for a long time because boy, are they flavorful :) Always love a good order of lemon potatoes so if you do too, be sure to order these -[GRILLED PITA] $1.00 Warm pita that is brushed with Asteri extra virgin olive oil that is cut in four pieces. We got two orders of these to share, and it was plenty because of everything else we ordered too I made a reservation in advance because I always like to be sure I can get a table but on a Sunday at 1:30PM, we were the only table :O The last time I came here was on a weekend night, and it was a full house so that was appalling this time around. Loukaniko pork pita came with a sausage inside. It was ok. The sausage on its own was tasty but the flavour profile did not suit the pita. Pork souvlaki stick came with a small piece of toast & was quite a lot of meat. It was good quality meat but the char was too much so it was a bit bitter. The herbs were fragrant but the flavour was light. Bougatsa was big: phyllo pastry with cream: like a galaktobouriko without the syrup. It was very flaky. It was not very sweet so if you like less sweet pastries, it's a good choice. Stevia Cola was decent. It had no sugar in it. The staff were very helpful & provided good service, explaining the menu items to me in detail. read more

I love greek food so I anticipating a great lunch when I read some of the reviews for this place. I was disappointed with my lunch however. I ordered the chicken souvlaki plate with rice and potatoes as my sides. Everything was OK except the potatoes. They were stale AF and inedible. The waitress was very nice and when she asked me how everything was, I said good except for the potatoes. She told the cook and they offered me more rice. I was not interested in having more rice and could not understand why they didn't offer me some fries or something to replace the inedible potatoes. I had 1 beer with my lunch and the bill with tip (not the waitresses fault) came to over $40. Needless to say I will never return to this restaurant and do not recommend you do either unless you like stale, inedible potatoes. read more

This place has been here since nov 2019. The guy serving me was friendly and helpful. The place looks great with Greece inspired colours and decor. It's located within a plaza between wonderland and v-mills. Right next to it is a cafe called loukoumania- same owner. He did an amazing job with the restaurant and cafe. I ordered- Chicken souvlaki - chicken is not listed on the menu so just ask for it. The souvlaki is served on a stick which was fun and easy to eat. But didn't have enough meat. Get a few of these if you go. $1.65 Horiatiki- tomato, cucumber, olives and a chunk of feta. This was fresh and tasty. Small $8.95 Tyrokafteri - feta cheese spread. Very flavourful but you have to order pita separately, why? Everything was fresh and yummy. Would def go back. They even have saganaki! But that's not for take out. read more

What's the bar for me on judging a Greek restaurant? Well at the bareminimum it has to be better than your typical chains like Mr. Greek or Jimmy the Greek! How did Nakos stack up? Well to put it simply, not so good. A major problem with the food at Nakos was SALT! Too much of it! The flavours were ok but everything had too much damn salt. The chicken souvlaki were really salty! Same with the pork! The fries were salty! The calamari were slightly salty. The spits of souvlaki regardless if it's chicken or pork were cut into small cubes instead of chunks. I think this was a big mistake since all the meats were very dry and overcooked. Tzatziki sauce will also cost you a few extra dollars on top of what you paid for. To me that's quite ridiculous. Overall, the calamari was ok and pita were ok. But everything else were pretty - meh... Considering you are paying a premium for this place, you'd expect better quality food, but all I got was a generous helping of sodium! Be prepared to chug some cola after the meal. read more

Visiting from California and I know Toronto has lots of awesome Greek spots. I was in the plaza of Nakos and decided to try them. Ordered a Greek salad and chicken gyro. The food looked amazing. The Greek salad was smiling, fresh ingredients and awesome tasting feta, however the salad dressing had ZERO flavor I expect a Greek salad from a Greek restaurant should have amazing Greek salads and I don't know why they did not. It was missing salt and lemon. All I tasted was the olive oil. The chicken gyro also looked amazing, the chicken was dry but edible. read more

Nakos is one of my new Greek favourites in Vaughan. Staff are really nice and the food is great with reasonable prices. I love the fact you can gave anything by the item. I typically order 10 chicken sticks and a village salad. Perfect combo read more

I have had Nakos a few times. It's my go to spot for a quick pita. In particular the Big Nak with Pork It was recommended by a friend of mine, a Greek friend. He told me to only order the Big Nak w/ Pork and nothing else.So I trusted his opinion and have only ordered the Big Nak w/ Pork as it never disappoints and is always on the money. Basically I can only review the Big Nak with Pirk and I can tell you I enjoy it each and every time. Their Big Nak sauce is delicious and the Pork is tender, juicy and grilled nicely.You must try it. The service isn't the quickest but it is family owned and run. They are very kind and warm. As for the ambiance there isn't much. It's just a place to pick up food and leave. The place is very small and their isn't much room to eat but I say step outside and and eat that bad boy Big Nak w/ Pork right outside. While you're there order your self some Loukoumedes for a dessert right next door at Loukoumania Cafe and wash them down with a Frappuccino. read more

Great chicken wrap. They put fries in the wrap which still taste very good even though it seems counterintuitive. Their sauce is good too. Seems like it's a mustard based sauce and I liked it even though I don't like mustard! I will definitely try this place again! Highly recommend read more

My wife and I tried Nakos a few weeks ago for the first time. Because of COVID, it's always been through take-out, but given the way the menu is structured, I can see the dine experience would be fantastic. It's set up as a typical European meal where you bring out large platters of food and you share the food with friends. For now, I can only speak about take out. I just got to get to the point here. The Pork Souvlaki is a work of art. Folks, this is not the traditional skewer you would get from those fast food Greek places, so to be honest, the first time I "saw" them, I was disappointed with how small they were. The dish I had is called Souvlaki Stick Meritha (Pork) for $11.95. Comes with 4 sticks, with Fries and a good helping of Pitas. Let me tell you, good food does not come in large portions, cause it was love at first bite. The meat was cooked perfectly. Very tender inside and mixed perfectly with some fat (you have to have some fat to balance with the lean). It was also seasoned very well. It reminded me of our families traditional lamb skewers from Abruzzo - "Arrosticini" and just as mouthwatering. By the end of the meal, those 4 sticks were actually quite filling. I was satisfied with the taste and surprisingly filled with the portion. My wife had the Chicken Souvlaki Pita ($8.95). The chicken too was cooked so well. Tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The Pita was warm and fluffy, not the thin ones that break apart when they get a little juice on them. They added fries into the pita, which was a first for both of us, but my wife loved it. Brought a little saltiness to the Pita. I had this once myself when I was no so hungry, and it was great. Since our first visit, we have been there several times (we live close by and my wife loves it). I highly recommend you try this place. I was pleasantly surprised and it will be a place that we will continue going to. I will add some photos in the near future because every time I have the food in front of me, I have no patients and dig right in before I can take a picture... it's that good. Heard about this place from 2 different (Greek) people and I live out in Scarborough about the food here. We had a small gathering at my place and made the drive out and it did not disappoint. Ordered pork and chicken sticks which were small but exactly how they are when you visit Greece. Super tasty and juicy. Expect to order at least 2-3 sticks per person depending on the sides you order. We also ordered the parties fournos which are big lemony potatoes cooked in the oven. They were as good as my mother's which is high praise. The tzatziki was good as was the olive tepanade and the tyrokafteri which was good and spicy as it should be. The kalamari was even good and we ate is 30 minutes after it was boxed too. Highly recommend this place especially if you live in the area!! read more

Loved this place! Amazing fast service but incredible, homemade food - very high quality. Will be coming back for sure.
