I've been stopping by this shop once in awhile for probably close to a year. My go to is their bonbons, and my favorite was the vegan dark ganache flavor. However, the Summer Collection is now my favorite, because I now have three favorites from this collection. My favorites are Limoncello, Sherbet and Rocky Road, so good! Two of them had a great combination of fruit and chocolate, and the Rocky Road is well Rocky Road! I admit the prices are higher, but worth the price if they are respecting the farmers that they source the cocoa from. You can tell by tasting it, it's quality chocolate and so pretty to look at! A great place to get family and friends a gift, because they will know there was care in the chocolates and other confections from here. I've bought the dark chocolate & milk chocolate pretzels for my Mom and a former co-worker; they both really enjoyed them! So, I might not stop by all the time, but I definitely will stop by as a special treat for myself and will definitely continue to buy gifts from here! read more

I have been wanting to try naked for awhile and even though I have passed by their store a few times I actually didn't stop in until just the other day. My mom purchased some valentines candy from them at the Wheat and Vine store in Dublin and enjoyed it so much that I decided to finally try them out. I bought her a gift but also picked up some "imperfect" bon bons for myself. They're discounted because they're not to the quality of their display. They had so much chocolate - the bon bons in the cases and then other products for sale such as bars and specialty chocolates for holidays etc. I tried the white chocolate strawberry or something to that effect and it was really tasty, the strawberry inside was so delicious and definitely my favorite part ! I'll be back to try more for sure! read more

Cool little chocolate shop and another interesting addition to the shopping center. The influx of new shops in the last few months, along with the extensive renovation, has been really amazing. Totally revived the shopping center. Anyway, Naked Chocolate has a nice assortment of beautiful chocolates, plus the owners hand selected favorites from around the world. Pricing is on the steep side, but the quality is definitely there. The staff was very pleasant. They walked us through all of the goods they had for sale and told us a bit about their arrival in Newtown a few weeks ago. They were also very generous with their free samples! My kid was absolutely loving it. Multiple kinds of chocolate and European style hot chocolate on the house. They couldn't have been nicer. Whomever did the hiring did a great job. I'd definitely check in again if I needed some chocolates for a gift or if my kids bugged me enough! Four stars. read more

I went to Naked Chocolate for the first time today and am glad I did. The people working were very kind and helpful and the store was a delight to the senses. It was beautiful inside, well lit, and there was a huge selection of high quality chocolate. I thought it was very cool how you could watch the people making the chocolate through the window, too. I purchased: 2 truffles (1 almond hazelnut, 1 strawberry basil) 1 milk chocolate bar with marcona almonds 1 cacao drink I haven't had the bar or the drink yet but the truffles were heavenly. The strawberry basil one was so refreshing and unlike anything else I ever had, and I actually liked it more than the almond hazelnut (the one I'd normally love). After paying I was offered a sample of the chocolate drink, but I think that would have been a little too rich for me so I declined. Overall - staff was wonderful, chocolate is delicious, and yes, it's pricy, but that's what you get when you get high quality. I'll be back. read more

If excellently crafted chocolate wasn't sexy enough, calling it, "Naked," is completely over the top. Housed in a small shop in the Village @ Newtown Shopping Center, this outfit is a one trick pony of creamy, succulent candies that have your taste buds working overtime to cope with the sensory load. It all looks fantastic, and the samples at the counter make certain you try enough to bring you back for more. The one downside is the expense of self indulgence. The bonbons are $2.50 apiece, so a medium size box assortment hits $30 before you can take a breath. You really have to love someone (or yourself) to make that commitment. Well, I did and I do, so I won't be too disappointed in myself. Yes, my friends were duly impressed. The little balls of intense flavor wrapped in excessive opulent cacao were all that. With a good red wine chaser it was a near orgasmic experience. I watched as they bit their first bonbon and began to chew. Their eyes rolled to the back of their heads and a involuntary gasp escaped their lips. Most people like chocolate, including me. However I simply didn't have the heart to spend what they were asking for their products. Someone must be buying it or they wouldn't be in business. Just a heads up....$16 for a little bag of Raisinets. And if you're good with that then you'll love it here. At that price point you'd expect a sample but no. No samples. This store, it's like walking into heaven! The smell, the sights, the taste. Really high quality delicious chocolate. I picked up a small box of truffles as a gift but ended up getting a few for myself. The combination of flavors were superb. I mean, never thought of tasting quinoa in a bon bon! I loved that they sell little souvenirs and other chocolate bars and even drink mixers. Perfect place for a foodie or someone looking for a gift for one. There is a window into the room where candies are made. Unfortunately at the time of my visit, no-one was using it, would have loved to see that. I see some comments about the chocolate being overpriced. The price is steep, but you do get what you pay for! Plus this is fair trade chocolate. We have tried chocolate at the most noted places. When we travel there are also chocolate shops they say are a "MUST". But I was happily surprised, as it is one of the best chocolate shops I have tried. We tried a variation of the dark chocolate bars including the white as well. The dark covered pretzels were excellent too. The salesperson was so knowledgeable and friendly and explained in detail the products......great service! An amazing, locally owned chocolate shop who's hard working staff creates chocolate art on their "Bon Bons" and edible chocolate boxes that is not only stunningly beautiful, but delicious too. This is absolutely some of the tastiest chocolate out there and they are using direct and fair trade chocolate which is worth the higher price tag when you know there are no unfair labor practices or child labor involved. They not only have bite sized treats but at least a couple dozen different chocolate bars all made in house ranging from 30% white to 100% dark chocolate; A wall of chocolate bars from all around the world ranging from Lithuania to Philadelphia, PA made by different chocolatiers and even some confections sourced from France and Europe. Chocolate barks and dipped fruits are also a must try! Check them out for amazing and one of a kind holiday gifts but don't wait to shop or you may have a more limited selection. Great knowledgeable staff who keep me coming back for more! This is just what Newtown needed!!! There was a man working here (with a great beard) who assisted us and was super friendly. He educated us about the chocolate and allowed us to try free samples. Every good business owner knows a free sample is the key to every customers heart!! I hate dark chocolate. A lot. Good chocolate selection, could be more robust though. Would love to see them bring in some other brands and change the bars up a bit. The people at the front are nice enough...but not super friendly. I suppose I feel someone who works at a chocolate shop should be joyous and excited to answer questions on cacao percentages but idk. Nice enough and respectful for sure, but not the friendliest people. Never the less, I frequent the shop often my only suggestion is that more friendliness can only help your business not hurt it. Also if you could offer alternative milk hot chocolate-that would be very cool! Love this shop though and glad to see it is doing well! read more

My mom was raving about these chocolates so I tried them when I was in town and agreed they were heaven! My mom's had an extremely tough year so I wanted to get her something to cheer her up for Valentine's Day so ordered a box of these to be sent. They arrived two days later but unfortunately some of them became damaged in shipping. My mom still would have eaten them crushed and called the manager just to let her know what had happened not expecting anything in return. The manager was so nice she told my mom to come in and pick out 15 new chocolates of whatever she wanted! This made my mom so happy! What excellent customer service!
