Wins:
- Best clam chowder ever. It usually comes in a bread bowl but I like it without (not heavy). They use pea shoots/flowers in it so it gives it a really unique flavor, plus no big chunks of anything--which makes it rather light in the heat.
-We brought them our fresh caught tuna from a charter we were in early in the day. They wowed us with sashimi and a second course Of beautifully grilled garlic tuna!
-Servers and staff are super nice and get to know you if you're there multiple days.
-The dessert menu looked great, we didn't have any because we were ridiculously full, but saw neighboring tables order!
Not-so-wins (but still good, just could use improvement)
-The staff is a little slower than you'd expect, even when it's not busy. But still, they're always super nice.
-The chips/salsa cart that comes around before dinner is awesome and you can customize it, but then they serve this DELICIOUS grilled bread when your entree arrives, so you're already half full of delicious tortilla chips and customized salsa, and you want to eat the amazing bread (and butter which In our case it was bacon butter one night, brown sugar butter the next..), but then you'll be too full for your entree! I think they should bring out the bread and chips/salsa at the same time so we can all learn to pace ourselves because they're both so so good.
-Atmosphere of the whole resort rocks, but sometimes there are splashing rowdy kiddos at this pool next to the dining tables. Got pool water onto our appetizer once and decided to get up and go to another restaurant. I would recommend maybe an adult only option for this specific rule or maybe kids only allowed til 4pm maybe? It ruins the vibe when you get chlorine in your food/drink. read more
