Excellent experience tonight at Los Barriles. Great ambiance. Excellent service. Caesar salad made tableside. Many desserts and entrees also done tableside. We all enjoyed our dinners and would definitely return! Right in the heart of downtown Cabo. You won't be disappointed!

One of our all time fav spots! Rustic, quaint, traditional, old school, table side food service/flambe. Food is extraordinary- fresh, and fantastic! Chef owned/family run restaurant that includes care & attention to all of the finest of details. Great margs!! David, Pancho and the staff is outstanding! We will come back in March! A must try!

Los Barriles was recommended by staff at a local tequila tasting shop located up the street from them. I had asked how much will lobster cost because so far, El Pescador in Cabo was in the lead for price ($25 steak and lobster), taste and its for its decent size. All staff said, "don't worry about the price." Always open to new seafood places so we gave Los Barriles a try. Our plan was to have a "taste trial" at Los Barriles since we already had a big breakfast at our resort couple hours ago. We figured, let's size up the place and have a very light meal...with drinks, of course. Menu had lots to offer. When we saw the price for lobster, it was not the price range we were looking for at this place or anywhere in Cabo. Almost doubled in price compared to what we're use to paying in Mexico, we decided we will not spend dinner here the next day. On menu, Los Barriles had plenty to offer for all, but did not win our hearts on price points and food portioning. Nice fancy-like food prep presentation though, by our server. He appeared to give it his all. We appreciated his efforts, his attention to detail and attentiveness to all of us. He made sure we were taken care of. The restaurant is an open setting, country style decor. Nice, quaint, and warm feel, we liked the place immediately.

If you come to Cabo, find this great spot and go. Then ask for David and eat. Outside dining and beautiful. Note... cash only. Started with couple of great wines and then tortilla soup. Amazing. Then the table side David show started. Fillet and drunken shrimp. With all kinds of sides. Mashed potatoes... oh yes. Just a great pre birthday meal! Gracias!!!

Walking from our resort we stumbled upon Los Barriles. I was looking for while snapper and they had it, I'm fact they had two whole snapper options!!! The staff was very welcoming and informative. I loved the atmosphere. Outdoor seating. My boyfriend ordered the sea bass which they cook right in front of you! We got a bit chilly and they gave us ponchos and blankets, talk about great customer service! I would definitely recommend stopping by fir a meal & the live entertainment!! I forgot to take photos of the drinks but the margaritas are delicious!! I had to walk back past today to get you all some photos of the establishment!! Ran into a very welcoming staff!! I just love this place!

Wonderful, very good food and airflow to keep you cool while eating. Also live music while eating breakfast. Can't beat that

Shrimp and creme oh my! So good

Great welcome to this city, where the people are always like family food and drink were top notch, service is outrageously friendly. Will be coming back!!

Originally, we uber'ed to Mama's Royal Cafe on an early Sunday morning at 8am, but they were closed. The waiter, Jumar, from Los Barriles gestured for us to come over and try their breakfast; we did not regret it! He said we could seat anywhere, then gave us water bottles without us asking for it (we didn't get charge for it). My hubby had the Eggs with chilaquiles and I had the quesobirria; it was so good. While eating, there was live music the whole time-- the guy sang both Spanish and English songs. We will def come back.

We had such a good time and food here. Joaquin was our waiter and made the best margaritas and guacamole...in fact we renamed Joaquin to be Guac-king. The king of guacamole made at our table. Great indoor outdoor atmosphere right by marina downtown

Excellent service, excellent food, will be back the next time we come to Cabo. Might be one of the best French toasts I've had!

This is a restaurant that I highly recommend for a visit. It's not just a meal you will enjoy but an entire experience. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the service was fantastic. Thank you David, Manuel, Paco and the entire staff for making our visit memorable. Paco came around introducing himself and wishing us a good time as it was his day off from the kitchen. The table side service for Caesar salad, shrimp and the bananas flambe was impressive and tasted so good. The steak and lobster tails were quite flavorful, as well as the enchiladas. The churros weren't over sweetened with sugar and cinnamon, which made them heavenly. The entertainment from the street guitar players, to Sam the amazing magician just made the night so enjoyable. This restaurant will definitely be on our favorite list for when we return.

Made to order molcajete cheese table side.

In Cabo on vacation and popped into this restaurant because of the great reviews I've read. Loved the ambiance with tables outside, twinkly lights, live music, and romantic atmosphere. All the servers and people that work there are so kind, friendly and welcoming. For drinks we ordered margaritas with their house tequila (their own tequila), shots of the same tequila. Got a few apps, fresh tuna carpaccio and molcajete cheese. Wow amazing, the tuna was so fresh and the cheese was mouth watering and the presentable was beyond. Then we ordered the cooked at the table rib eye with mole sauce and drunken shrimp. All so good and for sure a must go to when in Cabo. Juaquin was one of our waiters and cooked our food at the table. He cooked the steak to perfection, the way we liked it medium rare and the shrimp was perfect as well.

The drinks were just as impressive, perfectly made and refreshing, pairing so well with the food. What really stood out, though, was the service. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Beautiful atmosphere with lights, plenty of tables, and clean bathrooms. The seafood is so fresh! We ordered the crab meat tostada, aguichiles, ceviche, grilled octopus dinner, garlic shrimp dinner, and fresh grilled fish (Acapulco style) for 2. The dinner plates cakes with a side of rice and steamed mixed vegetables. Everything was so fresh, delicious, tender, and so flavorful. As a group, we couldn't come to a consensus on what each of our favorite dish was. We each had our own favorite. Crab meat was sweet, garlic shrimp was buttery, grilled octopus was so tender, aguichiles was so citrusy... I can go on and on. Ask for fresh tortillas. Also don't skip their margarita. Strong, citrusy, and generous serving. They accept USD or pesos. Also strolling musicians will come by your table asking to play a song. Some will tell you the price up front others will expect a tip at the end.

The restaurant was packed with locals when we went -- always a great sign. Cash only, so come prepared. What We Ordered Chocolate Clams (Cooked) You can choose raw or cooked -- I went with cooked and it was delicious. Very fresh, no fishy smell at all. One thing to note: every seafood dish comes topped with garlic. I'm not a fan of garlic and didn't know ahead of time, so I rinsed it off with hot water -- still amazing. Calamari Fresh, tender, and very well cooked. Seafood Special Combination Fish and squid were excellent. Lobster and shrimp were okay, nothing too special compared to the others. Price & Value The prices here are unbelievably cheap. * 6 chocolate clams = 285 pesos * Waldorf restaurant: 2 clams for $48 USD * Another place we tried: 2 clams for 340 pesos After eating around Cabo, this place clearly stood out for both quality and price. We couldn't even finish everything and packed leftovers back to the hotel. Total bill for all dishes: around $100 USD -- incredible. I should have written down what kind of chips they buy, because they were tasty. Very crunchy and really nice corn and toasty flavor. Frozen margarita had really good flavor too. For the mango one, it had mango puree for a base, which I think was much nicer than just flavored water. Garlic grilled shrimp plate was tasty. Shrimp enchilada was ok, but not really what I was expecting. Guess we've been eating Americanized enchiladas this whole time. This dish was a warmed tortilla topped with small shrimp, tomato, and bell peppers.

The evening we dined here it was raining, and while that is normally not significant, Roasted is partially open-air with the middle of the restaurant having no cover, so the rain was pouring in and effectively closed 60% of the place. When we arrived, the hostess and owner were apologetic and offered to rebook us, but we aren't quitters and a little rain does hurt us...but they also had a table near the entrance that was covered, so we decided to take it and enjoy our evening. Best decision ever! We started our evening off with a few cocktails paired with shrimp ceviche, queso fundido with chorizo, guacamole and an assortment of salsas. Once we ate through all this goodness, we tossed in our main courses of short rib, octopus, imperial shrimp and tampequena's. Finally we rounded out our meal with a few desserts consisting of cheesecake, chocolate flan and key lime pie! Everything was cooked to perfection, plated beautifully and absolutely delectable from first to last bite! The tampequena was my order and consisted of flank steak sided with a chile relleno and quesadilla...all of my favorite things as one meal? Sign me up! The desserts were delightful with all of us non-flan people being converted after trying the chocolate flan! Ownership put the desserts and a round of tequila shots on the house due to rain, which is more than they had to do. We were beyond thankful and appreciative. Service was phenomenal as well. Our server, the hostess, owner and food runners were all engaged, friendly and helpful. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous! The lit tree in the middle of the restaurant is a centerpiece and a perfect anchor to the decor and vibe. Overall, Roasted was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time, and definitely the best one we had while in Cabo. Do yourself a favor and come here! We definitely know we will be back!

From the street it looks like a little hole-in-the-wall, the kind of spot you might almost miss if you're busy chasing fancy marina restaurants. But step inside and suddenly you're in on the secret. Open air, flags hanging everywhere, signatures on the walls from travelers who clearly had a very good night, and the kind of energy that says dinner might get a little rowdy. Now let's talk shrimp. Big, juicy, swimming in garlic, lime, butter, and Baja attitude. The kind of seafood that makes you stop mid-bite and look at your table like, "Yep... we picked the right place." If you love seafood with a Mexican twist, this place doesn't mess around. And then there's the legendary Bulldog drink. It's tequila, beer, citrus, and just enough mischief to make the table louder after the first round. Order one and you'll understand why people start signing their names on the walls like they just joined a Cabo fraternity. Bottom line: this isn't just dinner. It's a little Cabo adventure wrapped in garlic shrimp and cold drinks. If you want quiet elegance, go somewhere else. But if you want flavor, personality, and a story to tell later... pull up a chair. Killer line: Some restaurants serve food Maro's serves memories with a side of shrimp.

I have been coming to Maro's Shrimp House since I found it, probably on Tripadvisor at the time,…read more way back in June 2016 and we make it a must on every trip to Cabo. Even when I was in Cabo on a cruise ship last Friday (11/28), had to hole up in my cabin on my laptop and work a half day (until 11am), missing out on my family's morning excursion all with a 1pm last tender call to get back to the ship... After my wife, mother-in-law, daughter & son's excursion with well reviewed Real Baja Tours (which I arranged separately instead of through the ship), all but my son were dropped off back at the ship as they wanted to skip out on the amazingness of Maro's. Yeah, I KNOW!! CRAZY!! The driver was nice enough to drop my son off at Maro's afterwards and the timing couldn't have been more perfect, just a few minutes before their 12pm opening time. Even though, we were a few minutes early, they gladly seated us right away. And very surprisingly, we were the only ones there for a good 20 minutes. From our very first visit in 2016, it is quite clear that the only things you need order is the shrimp and lobster which are fantastic...and THE BULLDOG (basically a giant schooner of margarita with an upended Coronita standing on its drowning head)...well, no Bulldogs for the boy. Service is very efficient and the friendly staff (despite not knowing too much English, except Maro himself, of course) is very attentive to any calls we had for refills of GARLIC WITH BUTTER (soooo much garlic, it was fantastic) & my dear, dear Bulldogs. Speaking of Bulldogs, they keep track of the most Bulldogs drunken in a sitting. I believe the current leader had 22...which is a superhuman feet because I was feeling quite FINE (read: tipsy) after my two. Also speaking of Bulldogs, on a visit in 2024, my kids, one friend of theirs and I witnessed a server giving 3 ladies a lapdance when they ordered one to share. Now that's service! Lol. Having told the staff we had to get outta there at 12:30pm, they delivered our wonderful meals very promptly and after first giving us totopos (tortilla chips) with two kinds of delicious salsa (well, a salsa and a pico de gallo). We each ordered the 1/4 kilo of lobster and 1/4 medium shrimp for $24.95 USD. (Note prices on the menu are conveniently in USD.) This was more than ample for one person but we prodded on and thoroughly enjoyed it, as always. With each plate, they serve the seafood with a very tasty rice pilaf and some pieces of squash or something I still can't figure out and after 2 Bulldogs, I completely forgot to ask about. They also give you a piping hot cup of that GARLIC WITH BUTTER served over a candle to keep hot which is brilliant. There is nothing worse than eating your giant platter of lobster and shrimp and the butter starts getting cold and becomes gluey and gloppy. That stuff is so good, we asked for another cup (and unlike American restaurants, it was free). On our visit in 2024, we actually got to meet Maro himself, took a picture with him, printed and framed it at home, brought it with us on the cruise and mounted it on the wall to the right of the L.A. Dodger flag, naturally. Since there wasn't any room left to write something with a provided marker, I added my DK to the bottom of the UCLA Bruin flag hidden near the back to the left. Oh, while you might think this place is a dingey dive by the look of the joint with its millions of marked up mostly collegiate flags lining the walls and rafters, the food makes it absolutely worth a visit...or two while you're in town. So save Edith's or Hacienda Y Cucina for the evenings (unless you want what I suspect would be a super fun & roudier crowd in the evenings). HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wow, that's a David K 4x HIGHLY RECOMMEND so ya better go!
