Becky Tips and Toes…read more I'd first like to start by saying, no matter how bad an experience has been for me, never have I felt I needed to create a Yelp account to discuss my experience! I honestly wish the saying, "You get what you pay for," applied in my situation. I went to Becky on November 10th. My parents wanted to give me a little pampering for my birthday, and they know I LOVE nails. I was referred to Becky by another nail technician, so I assumed she must be pretty damn good if ANOTHER nail tech was encouraging her client to try another business (my regular tech doesn't offer embellishments. Thus she referred this location). When making my appointment online, I saw the times conflicted with the time I got out of school. Hence, when making my appointment, I called Becky to schedule for a time, not on the website. We agreed to 2:25 pm. I got to my appointment at 2:38 pm, calling Becky at about 2:20 pm to let her know I was going to be behind due to traffic, and she told me that was fine. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted, and we began the appt. Becky asked me what I wanted, and I told her EXACTLY that. I had a vision in mind, and I wanted that! In detail, I told her what colors I wanted, on what fingers, and embellishments of a plain blue bow on one middle finger and a black bow on the other. I asked for subtle glitter on each nail excluding the middle finger. Although what I got is ok, it isn't what I asked for or wanted. Nor do I feel it was worth the cost. For $75, I should have gotten every single detail I asked for and no small mistakes. When Becky began applying the acrylic, I was a bit uneasy because she kept doing what she wanted rather than checking with me before starting each nail. The nail shop that usually does my acrylics ALWAYS verifies that the design they are doing is what I want before finalizing each nail. Not Becky. She put a very showy glitter on one of my nail's, and it wasn't what I'd requested. I wanted an ombré of blue to black with a subtle hint of glitter over the ENTIRE nail. What truly irritated me was whenever I would ask her to do a nail a certain way, she'd tell me "But I was going to do this...". No, that's not what I want nor asked!! I'm paying enough money for the nails I envisioned. If you are not going to bring them to life, please do not waste my time or money! When I said I wanted more of a blue color on one nail, she blatantly put the clear coat on top finalizing it!! The main issue I have is that she didn't even add the main component I wanted on my nails, (the only reason I came to her shop to begin with) the bow embellishment! When Becky finished my service, I had powder under my nails, and when I said something about it, she told me it washes off when I wash my hands. She didn't even suggest using their sink. Moreover, I felt Becky could have at least attempted to clean everything up. When I left, I was extremely livid that my nails weren't what I wanted and that I'd spent $75 on a service that I was not happy with. Plus, I'd just wasted 2.5 hours (which shouldn't have taken this long had she been doing what I asked). I went back to the shop before driving home and asked what she considers embellishments because I surely didn't see any on my nails. She said the glitter was an embellishment! Glitter certainly is not and if it is, I only asked for SUBTLE GLITTER PAINT, not acrylic! She could not add the embellishments I wanted because she was too busy creating the look she wanted. She never added mine! Now today, barely TWO DAYS after my service an entire NAIL has broken off. Not chipped; just broken clean OFF! I'm highly disappointed & disgusted with my service from Becky's Tips & Toes. My service was supposed to cost $65, but I paid $75. I will not be returning. I thank my parents for trying to give me a nice gift, but I wish they would not have wasted their money. Word of advice, please give the client exactly what they desire, not your version. After contacting Becky on Thursday (two days from my original appt) to repair the index fingernail, she stated she'd fix it free of charge if I'd come back. Furthermore, the replacement was rushed & uneven to my original set of nails. It looked odd & out of place. Here today on Sunday, day five after my initial appt, an entire nail from my left index finger pops off. I was only talking and festering with my hands. This is the worst service I've ever experienced. I won't be going back, not even for a repair! No Becky. The way I do business is if I'm not satisfied and I gave you an opportunity to address my issue, yet you haven't I won't complain. Instead, I go to Yelp, which clearly is more effective.

I cannot believe she doesn't have 40 5-star reviews. One great thing about her is that she puts hundreds of pictures of her work on her Facebook page (Nails By Becky's Tips & Toes). What is better than that; than to see what you're going to get. Becky is also very down to earth and nice and I never felt rushed at all.

I got a no chip manicure over the Labor Day weekend and was really pleased. I was looking for a new…read moreplace to go, and when i called to ask about their services/prices, they recommended I made a reservation, which I did. A few hours later, I arrived and Hanna was my nail tech. I got my old no chip/gel removed and replaced for $43. The color I chose was a deep burgundy, almost dark brown/purple, not too far from my usual preferred colors in the fall. It was ZGel 84 "Camp Ground." The salon was pretty full, and I was seated promptly at a station next to another client. There were two stations side by side that flanked the side wall. The other wall were pedicure chairs. This seemed like a popular place, and while it's not a hot-hand-towels sort of place, it was a good quality mani for a decent price. Hanna took her time and carefully filed and shaped my nails to the shaped I preferred, and was gently with my one broken nail that was a little shorter than the others. There are TVs with cooking shows playing (perfect, for me) and I was in/out without issue. I was satisfied with my mani and Bella Nora seems like a reliable salon! Judging by the good reviews (which is how I found and chose this place) and the quality of their services, I will be back!

They now do promotions like 10% off services if you mention the email, free jewelery, snacks, flip flops, etc. Although prices have gone up (like everywhere else) I feel like a valued customer and no longer switch up my nail spot. The best technicians for dipping powder are Lucy and Mimi. In my opinion, Cindy does not do as good of a service. Their pedicures seem like top notch. And you get what you pay for: if you upgrade to a more expensive pedicure, they really spend a lot of quality time on your feet. But even with the classic pedicure, I feel like they take their time with the massaging and clean up of my toes. Although the place is not very large, that's kind of what I like about it. I don't feel rushed and I feel like they know me well enough to know how to service my nails nicely. I will state, I'm not a super picky person. If you're looking for a specific rare color, a weird design, etc this may not be your place. But that's fine with me because I like it better when it's slow and I can do a walk in. LBVS. TL; DR: Ask for Lucy or Mimi for nails, they do a great job. I also really like Maria for pedicures. Sign up for their texts/ emails and enjoy some promotions!

But she was patient and answered all of my questions putting my mind at ease. Her salon is clean and well equipped. She is a true artist and my brows came out perfect! I just had them done yesterday so I can't speak to how long they will last but I can tell you that you can go to Bojana with utter confidence in her skill level. Heres what happens for those of you wondering. The entire process took a little over an hour. I was taken into a private room where I laid on a table under a bright light. Bojana used a phone app to check my brows for symmetry, she then measured and marked where she would add the color. She provided a mirror for me to check what was happening and showed me her markings. The next 5 or so minutes of prepwork did hurt, it felt like scrapping your skin with something sharp, but not intolerable. She then applied a numbing cream for 10 minutes which is a real blessing. I didn't feel anything after that. She filled in the brows and then applied some tint that had to sit for 10 minutes, that burned a little, again not intolerable. She then provided me with some aftercare instructions. That evening my brows were a little sore, kind of felt like a mild sunburn, so I put on some antibacterial ointment with pain relief which helped. Right now they are a little dark but I know they will fade. Couldn't be happier with the results!
