I took my mom for pedicures because I'd had a good experience here before but it was a disaster this time. First of all they called to change appointment time which was not a big deal we went in early. Then we got seated and my mom asked a question about shellac and the women just kept smiling at her not answering. Thinking it might've been a language barrier I asked the gentleman doing my nails and then the lady started to argue with my mom about shellac. (my mom had a reaction to shellac on her fingers and was asking about doing just a gel top coat on her toes). After that the two employees were speaking to each other only and staring at me and it made me uncomfortable. The lady finished my mom's pedicure abruptly (no massage, the jets weren't on in the soaker foot tub, rushed treatment) and moved her to the drying table. My pedicure lasted another 15-20 minutes with hot stones and massage. They very things I knew my mom would love and why I took her here. It was very strange. There was no music playing which is a small detail but when you've had awkwardness already the silence made it even more uncomfortable. Unfortunately I won't be back. read more

First time at this little gem of a place!! Parking right in front, all the usual facilities at a spa, spa foot bath with massage chairs and beautiful faux (I think) leather chairs to sit in for your manicure. They even have waxing available. One stop shop and the staff are so nice, helpful and patient. And the price is definitely right! I won't go anywhere else now.. thank you so much ladies!! Great job!! read more

I have been a client since I was a child with my mom and now that I'm in high school this is my go to nail place! The people are always so nice and friendly! I'm a regular every 2 weeks and I've never had a problem, everything is clean neat and fast! Hannah as been doing my nails and has the most creative eye as well as all of the other nail artists in there! I've recommended all of my friends here and everyone loves it! My usual salon cancelled my appointment the night before so I tied Nailtique. They took me in at noon. Very clean and friendly. Hannah did my pedicure. Nice job. Another lady did my mani. Was a little price for the mani as I still has shellac on a few nails. Also had biogel put on to strengthen nails. $116.00 with taxes, tip extra. (Pedi was only $33.). Still worth it. read more

I've been going to Nailtique for a few years and I've noticed over the past year the service has become horrible. the last 3 times I've went I've walked out with nicks and cuts on my fingers. I tend to brush that off as part of the job. I just went on Saturday for a pedicure and the they for some reason was using the scrub sponge on the top of my foot. I had to tell her to stop it was hurting so bad. Blood was dripping all over the white towel under my foot. she had to get a band aide. Not even sure why she was scrubbing the top of my foot. Now I have a huge cut on top of my foot. so yeah my nails are pretty but all you see is this massive sore. I will never go back my loyalty with them is done. read more

I tried this salon for the first time (I've been looking for a place closer to where I moved to) and found it to be mediocre at best. The nail polish selection was very limited and most of the bottles were almost empty or had separated (been sitting there a while). The manicurist did a good job with my pedicure and manicure but a few of my fingernails were crooked. I mentioned it to her and she filed it a bit but didn't really check if they were straight and continued on without giving me a chance to check it again. It's not a huge deal as they aren't that noticeably crooked but I would expect a bit more attention to detail as they charged $32 for my manicure. I don't think I will return to this salon as it is still a bit of a drive from my home and if I'm making the drive, I might as well go back to my old salon in ajax. read more

I was a regular (every 2-3 weeks) at this salon however the last 2 times I went there my shelack manicure was awful! I had my nails done 2 days ago and it already looks like growth of 2 weeks! I am not impressed at all and believe they do this to force you to spend more money and get your nails done more frequently! Sorry, you lost my loyal business! read more

Went here for a shellac change, and they seemingly did a great job. However, when it came time to get a manicure and change the shellac again, the other salon I went to had such a hard time removing the base coat Nailtique had used. Apparently it was a cheap base they use that even the soaking process could not remove. My nails were horribly damaged after that experience. Never going back to a place where they use cheap products. read more

I've been here about 4 times sadly because it is close to my home and every time I'm left disappointed. They are terrible at shaping nails, they also don't take direction well if you tell them you want it a certain way, you're completely ignored. The nail techs give you an attitude if you tell them you don't like something. They're also very overpriced. I had to take my services elsewhere. So I am on the hunt for a new nail place in Whitby. My regular technician left my regular place (nice one nails at Taunton and Brock st n) and I received pretty crappy customer service without her there. I have tried a few others and was excited to try nailtique because of the awesome reviews on here. I called ahead and made an appointment for an hour later and was greeted very professionally and warmly by the owner. Lisa was my technician and was very professional and patient. She talked to me about her recommendations for a better biogel set/fill and we discussed shape and colour options. I ended up getting a pedicure as well and I loved it. The ambiance is very spa like- not loud music or televisions blaring. They gave me a wonderful lower leg massage and hot towels for both my hands and Feet. Lovely colour choices and very pleasant atmosphere. I left with the BEST biogel set I have probably ever gotten- wicked shape and thickness just right. The only thing I would have liked to see was her re do my big toe polish- it has a bubble and it's bugging me- but out of sight out of mind. Another thing is that Lisa persuaded me to try pink biogel but some of my nails were a bit pinker than others- it looks great but I didn't like the inconsistency of hues. It's under nail polish anyway but she addressed it before I left and said once j get another fill with pink the colours would even out since I had clear on underneath. I'm okay with that-- really awesome experience. This is now my new spot. Clean. Professional. Organized. Loved it read more

Made my appointment to get a pedicure and acrylics done for Christmas . My appointment was at 5:30 and they close at 8:00. The lady doing my pedicure was not caring.. pretty much just rubbing my feet, and the lady doing my nails was in such a rush that she cut my fingers multiple times with the nail file. She also offered me shellac and I said yes. Then she told me no because it would take to long. After rushing to finish, she was done at 7 and they turned the lights off before I even left the building. I asked her why she was rushing me when they close at 8. Her response was that they try to close early in the winter because they all driver together and live in Toronto. I don't care where you live, that's not my problem. You've cut me multiple times and I paid way to much for that ridiculousness. I did not too and they were clearly upset. I ended up having to find another place to fix what they did as half of my nails looked like I had them done weeks ago because they were not filled in properly. read more

I was extremely excited to see such great reviews for a place near my house. The nail technician was extremely friendly but unfortunately I will not become a returning client. Working downtown I typically go to Hardrock Nail's which can I just say does an AMAZING job. Being use to a certain standard I decided to give somewhere closer to home a try. It was a waste of my $60+. The shellac colour is uneven in a few places, parts of the nails doesn't even have any colour. When pointed out the tech responded with "it's the skin". I think everyone is capable of telling the difference between their skin and a nail. Not only that but my cuticles weren't cut! So I paid $60+ to come home and do it myself. Great service, friendly and knowledgable. When not busy with clients they are cleaning which is refreshing seeing how most salons sit and chit chat. They were courteous even though I asked a million questions seeing as how I haven't gotten my nails done on years! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing nail spot! read more
