They argued with me and tried to say it was not human error it was the lights fault which simply was not true. Had to come back three times to fix the same set. The last time I came in I asked her to fix the shape because the entire reason I tipped $50 was the original shape the first time. They said no so I came back three different days for one set of nails and still left disappointed. The reason I tip well when I think it's done well is because I literally do not have time to come back three times. I live down the street but I will never be back.

The prices are average for the services provided, I typically pay about 60 with tip for a full bio gel set, sometimes I spring for a fancy design and only get charged a bit more. I almost never make appointments (not saying people should do this), but they always take me regardless. The people are sweet and treat you like a long time friend. The BEST thing about this salon though, is the insanely large selection of colours and unique polishes. Every time I see someone with a unique colour, they always say it's from here. Her attention to detail is not the best, and when I was told to wash my hands, I noticed one finger had a chip already, and asked her very politely if she can fix that one corner; in mandarin she said I was meddlesome, which is pretty much the same saying in Cantonese, as she proceeded to fix my nail. Maybe if she had paid more attention to her own work and stopped talking and getting distracted with her co worker, then she wouldn't have done such a sloppy job. I like to keep my nails fun and filled with design and I haven't been able to locate any nail salons in Oshawa that are able to do the marble effect however Rose did and she did an excellent job and made some great colour suggestions! Since then, my toe has been infected. I cannot wear shoes. I have gone through a tube of antibiotic cream and a 2-week supply of antibiotic pills from my doctor. I have an appointment to see a podiatrist and I may lose the nail. I just think a nail technician should mention that they're not qualified to do anything but cut and paint nails. When it comes to any type of ingrown toenail or problems, they should tell the customer instead of doing whatever for the 40 bucks.

The first time I had Linda do my nails that was an amazing experience. She was so friendly and did an amazing job for a simple shellac change of colour. Her prices are very affordable compared to others in Markham. The shellac also lasted 4 weeks before one of the fingers lifted which is amazing for shellac and the same lasting power as my regular salon. So I decided to come back and get a change of shellac today. I got another lady to do my nails. She wasn't there last time. She was extremely fast- I was done within 30 minutes which is quick! But I only got a shellac change not a shellac manicure. But the whole time I felt rushed and she wound up cutting my finger (see picture) near the end when filing my fingers. She did apologize but it was clearly bleeding and no rubbing alcohol or anything was applied to it...I immediately went home to wash it obviously. That left a foul taste for me. It was my fault for cheating on my regular salon for a cheaper and closer location. I'm sure if I had Linda it would have been better but after this visit I doubt I will return unless I book with Linda specifcally. Price for shellac change is $20, shellac manicure $30. Her prices are very affordable but hygiene is a concern.

Unlike other salons I've been to, Linda's will not rush through your manicure, as they take their time to make sure your nails look great. They are also very attentive and open to feedback if you are not satisfied. You also can't go wrong with a shellac manicure for $20 :)
