For the past year I've been going to an individual nail technician and thought if I stuck with her,…read moreshe'd learn my difficult nails and be able to get my nails to the length I want them; but everytime I went, I'd break a nail or my gel builder overlay would lift before I was ready for another fill. Like I said, my nails are difficult; they start to curve inwards when they grow longer, and they also grow outward and upwards on some of my nails. Pretty much the opposite of what you'd want for your nails. It wasn't until I started coming to Jackie that my nails started growing longer, with no chipping, and no lifting. I've been coming to Jackie for about 3 or 4 months and I'm able to go about 3-3.5 weeks in between my fills. Jackie also has given me great advice on how to keep my nails healthy, and I feel that we've built great rapport with how communicative she is with scheduling my nail appointments, her friendly vibe and the chill atmosphere that the other staff gives off in the salon. I love coming here and plan to take my boyfriend here for his manicures as well.

My first visit, Irene was supposed to complete my pedicure. She continuously asked me what I wanted, if certain shapes and length were to my liking. Finally, she called over the front desk girl to mediate. Again, Irene would stop every few seconds just to see if I would give her the okay. I am not of this profession, so I cannot tell if the acrylic is applied properly if you won't file it. Then, I asked her about a section of my nail that looked odd so when I asked the front desk girl if it was my nail she said "it's the acrylic" and Irene just start filing it. I did not tell her to file I just asked and she totally curved my nail. I softly said "oh no, she curved it". Then Irene just got up and walked away. I sat there for a while for another tech to service me, but was told no one could service me after sitting there without acknowledgment for 10 minutes. My demeanor was calm, polite, and flexible. I hate writing this. I really do…read more Seems like a clean place, but I'm not even sure about that. Got french tip mani pedi for $95, so already way too expensive, and my nail beds are messy, and my skin is torn up. I have a cut the length of my big toe from the edge of the scrubber they used. I didn't realize how bad the scrape was until I got home and my foot was bleeding. Put peroxide on it and what do you know, it's infected. Polish chipped IMMEDIATELY when I got home and closed the door, literally adding insult to injury. Overall it was an insane waste of money. I'm not sure on how clean everything actually is. The girl that did my friend's full set was amazing, but she was nickel and dimmed for everything. I've never seen someone pay so much for a full set before. I can only assume the guy working on my manicure was rushing. French tips are SUPER uneven, especially now that one finger chipped off. My friend got a color that dried to be orange instead of white, and the only offering they gave was for her to pay $15 extra for a color change. I will not go there EVER again. Nightmare. And my toe is killing me.
