One thing I've noticed over the years is that the customer service has never been particularly warm. You're rarely greeted with a simple "hello" or "welcome." Instead, the first thing you're usually asked is, "What service do you need?" It may seem like a small thing, but a friendly greeting goes a long way in making customers feel valued. Today, however, completely changed my opinion. I came in for my usual services, a pedicure and hard gel nails. After my pedicure, I was told I would need to wait about 20 minutes because they were understaffed. I understood that and had no issue waiting. I told the woman at the front desk that I was going next door to get my eyebrows done while I waited. Her response was simply, "Leave something." That comment caught me completely off guard. I've been a regular customer for well over a year, I always pay my bill, and I've never walked out without paying. Being asked to leave something behind as collateral felt unnecessary and disrespectful. I don't want to make this about race because that's not my style, but I do find myself wondering if every customer is asked to do the same thing. I regularly spend over $120 per visit and typically leave a $10 to $20 tip, depending on the quality of the service. On top of that, the salon charges an additional $3.50 for credit or debit card payments, which feels outdated and inconvenient since many people no longer carry cash. Unfortunately, today's experience changed how I feel about this business. Loyalty should matter, and long-time customers should be treated with trust and respect. Between the lack of genuine customer service, the card processing fee, and today's interaction, I've decided this will be my last visit.

When I went back in to let them know I was received with a " we don't know talk to your bank" when I'm clearly showing them that they charged me twice on two separate cards. Instead of rectifying the matter they weaponized the POLICE against a POC. That to me was the worst part of it all. We are in a time where the police don't show up to help but to escalate situations, so them calling the police wouldn't have fixed their mistake. I knew what she was trying to do. She was trying to brush me off and get me to leave and call my bank and claim fraud. They never apologize for their systems. Mistake just made me feel awful. I couldn't even enjoy my pedicure that I had just paid twice for. I ended up leaving with nothing but a receipt because I wasn't going to continue to argue with them when they clearly didn't want help. Ivy and her sister are rude and incompetent! The sister that sits by the front desk has a nasty attitude. She rolled her eyes at me when I was trying to show them their mistake.

Making a complaint is not my thing. But I noticed a few things that I found quite rude and unsanitary during my visit here a couple of weeks ago. The first thing I want to point out is not one staff member here knew that I am Vietnamese. So they were unaware that I was able to understand every single thing they said in Vietnamese. I was a walk-in and they were pretty busy. The wait was about an hour long. Which was okay with. What I was not okay with was the comments the workers made about their customers (these customers were still in the shop). For example, they made a rude comment about how one of the customer is very picky. Even my nail technician was not satisfied with me when I kindly asked her to refile my nails because she was rushing during her first attempt. My nails were still uneven after her first attempt at filing my nails. No joke, in Vietnamese, she said "con nay." One of the meaning is "this girl" (with an attitude though). Also, one of the other workers wasn't able to find a filer to use on his customer's nail. So he took my technician's filer after she was done using it on me. I don't know about you guys, but I find that to be unsanitary. Not all Vietnamese nail shops and technicians are like this, but I am sad to say that most of the technicians at this place was. I'm so disappointed honestly I recently started doing my nails in this place that it was recommended and for my nails there's no complaints but this past wednesday went to get a mani, pedi and my eyebrows, and left pissed off. Justin is great but the guy that did my pedi and didn't get his name just cut them and did color didn't even bother to check for ingrown nails, didn't want to do the colors I asked because he said that was gel which I didn't had a problem paying extra for that, my eyebrows omg that lady didn't know what she was doing they didn't look even she game me excuses because on one side for some reason I really don't have much hair, she couldn't make them even, I know when they do it my eyebrows will be thinned than what I like but I'm ok with that. I don't think I will be going back to that place honestly. For my pedicure my toes were hurting I had to do fix it at home. read more

I been coming here since 2021 but I never take pictures lol. I would always get my nails done by Jenny that is now at the Fontana Location. I now request Nina for my pedicures and I just now discovered Kim who is new to the crew and let me tell you! Power convo!!! I love how Nina does my toes. They always last sooo long. I'm a mommy now so it has been a minute since I got them done they made me feel so welcomed again. I feel so refreshed. Kim was super nice and sweet and did an excellent job on the almond shape I asked for. I would always get short and French tips. Me and my daughter came on Wednesday. The lady who did my daughter nail was sitting at table #3 with glasses on and grey hair, didn't tell us the price until I asked. She had the nerve to charge my little daughter $80 for medium solid white nail. WTH...2nails broke today and most of them are already lifted from the cuticle. My nail way longer than my daughter nail and includes soak off but I paid less than her nail. The girl who did my nail was friendly, gentle and did a great job. To end of it, this is my second time here but I don't think I'm returning back because of the girl price was ridiculous. Go to other techs or somewhere if you don't want waste your money read more

Despite being 9 months pregnant and having a toddler with me, I waited for an hour while multiple people who arrived after me were seated and serviced first. My first time visit here. My sister lives in the area and the reviews looked great. I called to make an evening full set appointment and they were able to see me same day. My nail tech was Minh. Despite the fact my choice of design was time consuming, he was patient and did fantastic. It looked exactly like the picture I showed him. To speed up time he even had a coworker assist and I was able to leave at a reasonable time. The price was fantastic! Visited the Lucien's as a walk-in. Registered online at the front & was greeted by a friendly young lady. Wait time was about 30 min with 3 ladies ahead of me. So I got the Neighborhood Walmart next door to kill time. They were nice enough to call me when they were ready for me. Tina was my nail technician. Super nice & very experienced! I always have a wonderful experience at Lucien with manicures and pedicures! The shop is clean and the staff is extremely kind. I also love being able to book my appointments online. This evening I came in for a pedicure with a healing tattoo on my leg and Nathan was so great at making sure to avoid using a scrub or lotion in that area during the massage.
