He finally got to me around 4:50pm. Billy placed the Gel-X supplies on an empty station, and that's when I suddenly became apprehensive. I've been getting my nails done for YEARS, so that was the first red flag for me. Why doesn't Kevin already have his own supplies at a permanent station? Subsequently, I abruptly changed my service to a gel manicure, because that's a basic level service and I was hopeful that it would work out. I was wrong. The polishing was bad. He was hurting my cuticles by being too aggressive and trying to cut off too much cuticles. A few times I said "ouch" and moved my hand. The shaping was bad, and my nice ssa still tipped him. SMH. Why? Because he still did a service, even if it was below my standards, I am just used to it. AND the three staff were so nice and accommodating. But, nice isn't enough. It hasn't even been 24 hours and the polish has started peeling on two nails. This is my second time at this place. The first visit for a pedicure wasn't the best as far as my experience during the service (the guy was rough and pushy), but ultimately my toes looked good, so I wanted to give them another try.
