The service is ok. I got ombrè nails and that was a miss! They did the top colour with a brush and it looked bad before 2 weeks were up! The regular acrylic nails with gel are better as they tend to last 3 to 4 weeks. Clean and I was able to walk in without much of a wait . My only complaint is I asked about having a few rough spots on my feet to have smooth and was told that I need to buy a deluxe service. This is my only issues with some of these salons. What ever happened to just getting complete service for what you pay for . I have been coming to Nails Up for over a year now and every dip has been great - even with different people. I think their prices are reasonable (cash only). I've had good pedicures too. I had trouble matching Dip manicure colors with gel pedicure colors and someone there recommended I get 2 Dip base coats with no color then gel on top for the color matching. I just moved to the area and decided to stop by for a quick gel mani. The owner or manager of the salon was incredibly rude and failed to inform me as new customer that you can only pay in cash. She proceeded to say they have an ATM in the store for me to withdraw cash but I said no ma'am since there was an almost $5 convenience fee. So we resulted with me Venmoing her instead. I went ahead and sent her $35 for the service and then was sending a separate Venmo for Tammy (the young lady who did my nails) a tip. As I was walking out the door she yelled at me saying she hasn't received the tip yet and I mentioned to her that it's loading on my end and she yelled again until she realized that she received it separately. My nails were recently done at Bella nails and they did a HORRIBLE job. This place did a great job on my fill in and fixing the uneven and crooked nails. Did 3 coats of polish to ensure it wasn't streaky and paid close attention to detail when shaping them. Only complaint is when he used the electric tool it was way too fast and burned my nail bed which was super painful. Other than that gel Update: I now go to Hen and she is amazing! First time here. THE WORST SALON EVER. Ive tried many nail salon and I also worked at one before. I just never seen a salon so bad. I had to wait 20 mins but based on how busy they are and all the technicians are occupied, its understandable. I had regular gel on all my nails except my ring finger that had liquid gel which its harder and stronger gel. I just want to take them off; a lady came over, used an electric drill on all of my nails, drilled on my cuticles, didn't bleed so whatever, but for my ring finger nails, she just hand peeled the hard gel off which felt like my real nails were about to peel off with it, and its also super bad for the nails. My two thumb nails are chipped, she was just gonna leave it how it was no cut no file if i didn't told her to do so, at the same time she kept telling me that my nails are weak; pushing me to get SnS or put more gel on, after i clearly stated i just want the gel taken off today multiple times. DIDN'T ask if i want to cut or trim or just file or what shape if i didn't her. I also asked her if she could put some strengthener on my nails, she didn't understand me, so she asked for better english speaker for help, and still doesn't know what I'm talking about, so i just gave up on telling. I mean, for a nail technician, don't know what strengtheners are???? ‍‍ AND last but not least, after she trim and file and cut my dry cuticles, before she asked to go wash my hands, she put lotion on me and started massaging my hands and arms. Initially this placed was convenient as I lived nearby. As time has passed the service has gotten considerably terrible. You will not be greeted upon arrival, quality of service is terrible. Gel polish peeled a day or two after getting them done. I'm not even sure everyone who works there is a qualified technician just based on the work they provide. I cannot express how much I hate this nail salon. I usually come in for a regular fill in and my experience is fine. However I always find myself coming in the next week because of how bad they glue on the nails. The last time I went in to get one nail fixed and I ended up waiting an hour and a half. I asked how long it would be and the guy just told me to sit down. They ended up attending to other people who came in after me and completely ignored me. I've been here on multiple occasions cause my regular girl was booked and Every time I went here I got cut, knicked, or they were rushing. I wear acrylics and they do take longer and sometimes come off but I have NEVER had NAILS pop off, peel, and have the white of a French tip turn yellow within less than a week. This place has the ambiance thing DOWN. It's bright and open, with tons of nail polish options and plenty of massage chairs to go around. They have a nail bar in the middle of the salon with barstools where you can get your manicure. And they have wine and other drinks for people getting their nails done, which is a nice touch. But it falls short of a 5 star review for me because ambiance isn't everything. First, in two trips here I haven't been offered anything to drink. Sure, I'm 9 months pregnant, so wine might not make sense, but how about a glass of water for the exhausted pregnant woman on the hot summer day? Second, and more importantly, the pedicures haven't been the best. On my last trip, my nail technician cut my cuticles FOUR separate times -- get the hint, lady, and stop attacking my cuticles with such vigor! 1st review - Let me start with that I am super fussy when it comes to my Mani's and pedi's. It is not a regular occurrence but more of an occasional luxury so I want them great when I make the splurge. I surprised myself by even coming here based on the yelp reviews. I'm glad I did! I asked for a basic pedicure and I was taken in promptly (arrived at 950am). I was given a very thorough pedicure with an AWSOME leg massage with hot stones. I am very pleased with my experience and will set be back! I had tommy (although we weren't able to directly communicate everything was successfully translated by the neighboring nail tech). I will for sure be back and ask for Tommy again! Give him a try!!! Update 5 days later - glittery polish has begun to chip. Went in for a repolish and Nam was accommodating and polite about it and did an excellent job! To be fair I've never chosen glittery polish before and I think that was the issue. I've never had to have a repolish before so fingers crossed it's just the glitter polish. 2nd review. - total disappointment. It's not the glitter polish. Had another pedicure with regular polish. Chipped 3 days in. Maybe using a cheap top coat? I don't know but typically my toe polish lasts 3 weeks. Only if I stub my toe has it really ever chipped before the 3 week mark. read more

LGBTQ+ my people we have many options and this is not the one. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because the nail tech did a decent job on my nails. BUT there were 3 nail techs practicing on each other while I was getting my nails done, two girls doing rainbow nails on a male. Making very inappropriate "jokes" about how people chose to identify... at first I thought they are just having fun and then one of the girls said now you are a shem*le with these nails. I'm a transwoman and this was extremely inappropriate and offensive. I told them so and didn't receive an apology from them or the manager. I won't be going back, which is sad. I liked my nail tech but I refuse to support a business that doesn't care about ALL of its customers. You should be careful what you say because you NEVER know who is listening. read more

Where should I start? Customer Service is HORRIFIC! There's a huge racial divide as it pertains to the level of service provided. There may be little to no conversation during your service either and if you complain about your service their entire disposition changes and the service decreases even lower. Yes... it can get worst! This morning I made an appointment for 3, it's 4:21 and I'm still waiting to get my nails done. Upon completion of my poorly executed pedicure I was advised it would be another 45min wait before my nails would be done. If it weren't Sunday and my nails weren't white and soon to be taupe, I would walk out! Lol....But I need this done today! I got a gift card to here for my birthday and decided to go today. When I walked in I looked around for prices. I didn't see anything had to ask. Found a color for my pedicure. Was told to sit in a dirty seat. Finally got to a clean seat and waited. They then put cold water in. When I said it was cold he said you want hot? Of course we want hot water.
