It's vacation trip time. I was actually catching a plane later the same day that I went to the nail salon. My daughter has been getting her nails done by Tina for the past 4 to 5 years and the last time she got them done I really liked them. It was the perfect nail color a milky white powder and the perfect shape. I arrived a little bit before 11:00 a.m. and went directly to Tina's chair because she was ready for me. No waiting. Tina is very experienced with all type of nail designs as I have seen her do my daughters nails many times. She is super quick, skilled and is able to give you exactly what you want. My nails came out perfectly I couldn't have asked for better My pedicure was done by Linda. I had an issue with my big toe splitting in the middle to which I had already partially taken the nail down. I did not think that a nail tech was going to be able to make my toe look pretty. I was absolutely wrong. Linda took her time and filed my nail down to make it look like absolutely nothing had happened to it. She did not need to put acrylic on it or a tip she used my own nail. She was able to shape it sand it down etc. She made my feet feel brand new and that's always a plus. The color that I used on my feet is DND 642 Magenta Aura. Most of the times I find colors that I like on Instagram and then look up the number and bring it with me. A lot of times looking at the swatches in the nail salon can be overwhelming because they all are so pretty. I also write down the numbers so that I can always refer back to them. I was in the salon for maybe an hour and 20 minutes for both services. I have zero complaints about this place. read more

I am new to GA and just needed a gel mani for the wknd so came by here as it was convenient being as though I was next door getting my hair done. Its a nice looking establishment. The woman that did my nails was an older lady she was friendly; which was the reason for the 3 stars. I just new the amount of coats she put on this was abut to last a good while. Its chipping already; the next day. Im so annoyed because it was $45. Im from ny and I dont even recall spending $45 for a mani but whatever. Im celebrating this wknd lets do it. You will be happy to know that the owner retired so, the atmosphere is much more relaxed. I respected the owner but, she was nice to me but, also up tight with her staff. The staff seemed to be comfortable & relaxed now. The same courtesy professional service just without the snaps...if you've been here before or a regular...you know what I mean. (all love) The nail-shop was decorated so, it's all vamped up with great decor, new massage chairs & a whole new inventory of nail polish. My daughter and I just left this place, I was charged $52 for a pedicure and polish on nails and feet of a 6 year old. I did NOT get gel polish at any time. The woman took it upon herself to add black and gold designs on my daughters nails which I could tell she didn't like and she never asked me if she could design her nails. We got home maybe 20 minutes ago. And it's been about an hour since we left the shop. Already most of my daughters nails are chipped and polish is completely off of two of her nails. Her nails shouldn't look like this for what I paid. Not to mention the pedicure items used weren't clean she never asked if she could use the scraper on my foot and had an attitude when I asked her not to. Before as long as you went to Ms. Vicki, your nails & toes would be fine. She was the only person in the shop that knew how to do nails. When Ms. B retired, Vicki left & got a job closer to her house (per what management at the new place said). So I thought, it's okay, I'm only getting a gel mani & pedi, what could possibly go wrong? Good thing I don't get paid for thinking. 1st off they are not using new tools when they work on you. They are using the same nail tools on all of their customers. Before they would open a new blue tool packet & then dispose of the tools after using them on me. That is not the case here & should be because of what happened during my visit. The tech cut the cuticles on my fingernails and toenails down bad and filed my nails until they were paper thin. The tech then proceeded to cut my toe skin in the process of cutting my toe cuticles which caused my left big toe to bleed. She put powder on the toe she cut & sprayed it with alcohol. After that I guess she was shaken up because she didn't polish my full toenails or fingernails and left space between the cuticles of my toe & finger nails so it looks like I haven't gotten my nails or toes done in 3 weeks. I won't be returning and I kept the receipt in case I get an infection so I can proceed legally. Please, for your safety, DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS OR TOES DONE HERE!! read more

This place is under new management. I went because I was a customer of Milly's Salon and thought this would be convenient. My gel nails didn't even last a week. I went back and tried to patronize them again (given them a second chance) and they were WORSE'! They cut my nails and split them in half!! Then she filed them paper thin! I was excited to here that this establishment is owned by a black woman, so I was all for supporting. However, some of the workers are not honest about the price of services, nor do they use clean materials when doing a pedicure. Owner if you are reading this please have a meeting with your staff. I was overcharged for a fill-in. I got charged $30 for a an acrylic fill in?!? Owner left for lunch so I was not able to address this. The lady who did my nails clearly was trying to hustle me AND I tipped her. I should have asked for my $5 back. So really I paid $35 for an acrylic fill!!! Two weeks prior while getting a pedicure another lady proceeded to use a dirty foot scrubber that shows signs of needing to be trashed on my feet. I have been a valuable customer of this establishment for years. Even through ownership changes. Well today was my last time ever stepping foot into this business. I came in for a wax and halfway through another nail technician advised a customer to come into the small room so she can start her service. The customer apologized when she initially walked into the room and saw me getting serviced. She stated she will wait. I only had about 3 mins or less left and I would have been finished. Well the na technician who originally sent the customer in came back to the room and while speaking in another language she totally didn't want to respect my wishes on not having her client in the room while I was being serviced. She came right on in and invited that same customer to lay on the bed to start her service while I was still in there. I immediately got up and stated I will wait. My technician came out to explain that the technician had an appointment with that customer and they will be in there for 45mins. I instantly told her that what happened was very unprofessional and it irritated me extremely bad. She apologized and went back to speak to the technician. I got up and went to the front counter. At this point I was gonna pay half (since the service wasn't completed) and make a formal complaint. The technician who started my service wanted me to understand she was only an associate and she tried to tell the other technician to let her finish. I explained that wasn't my issue to listen to, and they needed to fix that. That Technician who came in was RUDE AS F***!! My technician offer to clean up the wax left on me and I declined at this point I just wanted to leave. LADIES, KEEP YOUR MONEY AND GO TO LOVE NAILS!! This was my first time here and I literally just happened upon this place. I rarely give 5 stars to any place but this place was great as a first timer. I got a spa pedicure ($20) and I am happy with the results. The woman who did my pedicure was friendly and even cracked a joke, which I can always appreciate. She offered me other services and didn't seem aggravated that I declined. I had a chance to meet the owner, Miss Bea and she is a delight. I am more than happy to support black owned businesses that do good work.....she is also a fellow FAMU grad and so we clicked over that. I absolutely would go back. My sister suggested that I go to Nails Unique since it is a black owned company and I'm all in for that. The receptionist was friendly. She said I would have a little wait. My pedicure was good and the tech was friendly. She did have to do another women's fill before mine. While I waited I noticed how unkept and dirty the surroundings were. Empty or half full QT cups on empty stations. All the cleaning supplies (vacuum and mop) visible. Stacks of toilet paper on shelf behind the pedicure chairs. The place needs a good cleaning. My pedi and fill were satisfactory. The nail tech was extremely fast. Please clean and I will be back. read more

This place is terrible. This is a delayed review. I went here at the end of April and have no been able to get a pedicure ever since. I usually go to the salon next to Publix but I was desperate & needed an immediate fix. I went for a full set and a pedicure. I think I waited for about an hour for no reason. I finally had someone start my nails & all of a sudden all of the pedicure chairs started to fill up. So I then had to wait another 30 minutes after my nails were done to get a pedicure. Here lies the problem. I got white toes as I always do. A week or so passed and my boyfriend noticed something on my toe. Got an acrylic overlay fill & some waxing done for $30!!! Which is really great deal for me, being used to New York nail/waxing prices. My nail tech was very nice and was quick but did a great job and didn't 'nick' me with the nail drill. Salon was very clean & neat didn't appear funky or unsanitary. My only complaint is that their color selection kinda sucks, but I usually bring in my own polish so I can touch up as needed if I get any chips at home. read more

There are only two things about this place that were positive during my visit on yesterday. One, they were quick. Two, it's black owned. The later not being a strong positive. I took my mom for a mother/daughter mani/pedi for her birthday. Sorry mom! The lady who took care of me didn't ask if I wanted my nails cut or filed. She thought she was going to do what she wanted. I don't think so. There was no massage or hot towel for either mani or pedi. In my opinion, those are the two most important parts of the service. To end our displeasure as soon as possible, we asked for simple clear polish on our finger nails. We received one coat. What the heck?! For $32 each, I would have liked a much better experience. Yes, the service was quick and the prices lower than most in the area, I'll give them that. But as I've said before-- you get what you pay for. The staff was nice enough, though the the work & shop sub standard. Both my gel manicure AND pedicure were chipping in less than a week. My gel polish was painted way over the sides of the nail and onto the skin, so of course, it was peeling up within days. Though I brought my own toenail polish, they didn't have the first two gel colors I chose even though they were offering them as options. Also, the shop was not nearly as clean and organized as I'd like... I'm pretty picky about that kind of thing. The nail techs were constantly climbing over things on the floor, extension cords, their fellow employees to stand next to the pedicure chair to do your manicure. I do like both of my services done at the same time, but not when it means I have to move my purse every few minutes so someone can stand next to me. Remove even just one pedicure chair and give yourself some room to work, ladies! read more

Unless you want a fungus in your nails, they don't sanitize their equipment. I wouldn't recommend this place. The owner, who goes by the name of Ms. B not sure if it's stands for Ms. Bitter, is rude and disrespectful and is proud of it. Amazing, clean, friendly, good prices for detailed work.. As a flight attendant for Delta my legs tend to hurt from traveling so I need a good pedicure once a month.. I have been a loyal customer since January 2013 but May 13, 2017 was my last day. Here is an attempted short version: You open at 10a but 5 people were already inside and one was about to start drying so what time do you open? Normally I visit midday so I've never experienced such a thing. ANYWAY, I sit down and wait from 10:02a to 10:46a [I was there for one nail repair] I made usual eye contact with the nail tech and she came over to glue the nail as I waited. Unbeknownst to me the lady that came at 9:45a was getting THE WORKS! Different colors on every nail and a polish change on her toes with designs. I asked the manager who I thought would understand the frustration how much longer will it be and she said "You can go ask her". Wow, okay. The nail tech said "You can come back in an hr if you want" NO so at 11:24a I got my nail fixed after yet another delay since she buffed someone else's nails and for this experience alone I'm done being loyal to Unique Nails. If I could give zero stars I would!!! For the sake of your nails and wallet DO NOT go to Nails Unique. The first time I went I got gel and gel polish and they looked messy so I asked to clean up the polish which was all over my fingers. They did but only after filing down my gel to paper thin. Within 2 days 3 broke! I went back to get them fixed and asked for a different tech and was given the same guy anyways, the owner did not care even though I was willing to give someone else a shot. I asked for the nails to be removed and left with paper thin nails, no filing, no buffing and at least 2 visibly broken. One nail was removed to the point where I now have a hole in my nail and can't get nails anywhere until it heals! It will take months to recover from what this place has done to my nails and the owner does not care about it's customers. Stay away! read more
