I went to Nails Studio at the suggestion of a friend. Otherwise I would never would have noticed the shop. It is new - and the studio has soothing ambience for my mani/pedi and wax. Mimi was great doing my nails. I am not a fan of the new gel nails but they do offer them and the woman beside me loved hers. My pedi was relaxing which is really my only goal. I hate getting my lip waxed. But....it was great! Have been back several times since my first and will continue to patronize! read more

I have been going here since it opened and this is a great spot! Mimi, the woman who runs the shop, is very nice and makes every effort to be sure that you are happy with your service. The place is immaculate and the quality of the work is perfect. I have had mani/pedi, facial and eyebrow wax and all have been very high quality. Lisa is fantastic as are the other staff people. I purchased a Groupon for two deluxe mani/pedis. I used my first one that month and the gentleman did a nice job (minus the uneven french manicure manicure). Knowing that the Groupon expired on September 24, 2013 I called the week prior on Tuesday and left a message as they are closed on Tuesday. I mentioned I would like a call back so I could schedule my mani/pedi before it expired. I did not receive a call back. I then called on Monday, September 23, 2013 and told them I had to use my Groupon before the 24th and I was rudely told that they were completely booked that day and that I could come in later in the week, but it would be at an additional cost of $20. As I had called in the morning, I thought it was strange they were already booked. My mom then called to request an appointment for a deluxe mani/pedi that afternoon. After the receptionist confirmed that she wasn't going to be using a GroupOn, she was offered 3 different openings for the same day I was told they were booked. That being said, "Nail Studio" is a dishonest salon with poor customer service. I certainly will not be going back there and neither should people who do not appreciate being taken advantage of and lied to. **I see there is another Groupon for the same offer right now and if you are reading this, keep in mind they will be rude if you use it! read more

I went with my 7 year old stepdaughter today to use my groupon and to do a polish change for her. The staff was so wonderful and sweet with her and let her stay with me as I went through my much longer appointment. I got the diva mani pedi and it was the best! I noticed that they open new clean tools for each person-a relief to me as I always worry about getting something at nail salons. I will definitely head back there for my next mani pedi! read more

Nails Studio is a neighborhood jewel. Bright, clean, professionally staffed and efficient, the experience is always just right and well priced. While appointments made in advance are best, I have also just walked in and waited no more than 10-15 minutes. I like that the staff listen to your needs - super fast efficient mani/pedi or a relaxed pace with massage. Mani and pedi services are excellent- I opt for shellac as often as possible; lux pedi too. The waxing is also professional and well done. If you have not tried Nail Studio, you should! It will be hard to go elsewhere after experiencing this salon. read more

This is such a terrific nail place - they do an incredible job - its clean, relaxing, well-run and friendly. Katie does an awesome French manicure and I've had bad ones elsewhere. This is just heads above anything in the area, especially with the hot stone massage they throw in - I can't rave enough. Competitive prices, serene atmosphere and lovely staff, always seeing to your comfort, friendly and polite. I've only had pedicures so far, but I've tried the more expensive place and the quality is matched here. I have 'troubled' toes and these ladies do a fantastic job. Got an amazing Diva mani/pedi by Lisa - great scrub, massage, hot stone massage, parrafin treatment - the whole works. The place was on the smaller side, but very clean, well decorated, and inviting. My only disappointment was the callus removal. I admit I have bad calluses, but I wish she spent more time on them. My nails look amazing though (almost fake, even) and I loooooved the way I smelled for hours afterwards (even my boyfriend did). Got a deal through Groupon for $35 (though I went for french for fingers and toes, so it was $45), which was fantastic. They told me I can call up and get the same deal next time, which is awesome! Great service and amazing results! They opened salon an hour earlier to accommodate my schedule. I had mani/pedi done. Great nail shape and my nails look perfect 2 weeks after I had them done... No chipped nails! That never happened before, I could hardly get my mani last for 1 week. I attribute this to the quality of products being used. Highly recommend, worth the price. read more

This salon is very clean and the services I have received have been superb. I have been here for mani/pedi, waxing and recently had a facial. I fell asleep during the facial, it was so relaxing. It is a very calm and serene atmosphere with beautiful music playing. The ladies who work here pay attention to detail and are very warm and friendly. NEVER AGAIN!! Save yourself from a mediocre mani/pedi and HORRIBLE customer service. Never again will I step foot in this place. I purchased a Groupon in July 2012. The original expiration date was for Dec 2012 but, according to Groupon, the merchant decided to extend the date until January. Really?! Because when I went to redeem my 2nd (out of 3) mani/pedi I was told it expired and was given a ration of "you know what" about it. I calmly explained that it was extended and the owner just wasn't having it. Then she must have had a moment of clarity and said, "I will do for you and you need to do 3rd one real soon." So I had my ordinary meni/pedi and scheduled my 3rd for the following Thursday. I shouldn't have been surprised what I was in for when I showed up that Thursday. Upon entering the owner asked if she could help me to which I replied, "Yes, I have a 5:45 mani/pedi." She said, "No you don't. You wrong...blah-blah-blah," that is when I stopped listening. NEVER have I ever been treated so rude and poorly, in front of other customers no doubt. Don't get me wrong, this place was not jam-packed but at least have the decency to treat a paying customer with respect. After a small amount of arguing I left. It wa snot worth it. I never returned for my 3rd appointment (even though it was already paid for) and never will. The woman who owns this place lacks everything from professionalism to common decency. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!! This place deserves no one's business and no one deserves to be treated this way. If you are looking for a GREAT atmosphere with NICE and COMPETENT people who welcome you with smiles (and a damn fine mani/pedi), go to Lovely Nails around the corner. The nail service itself was fine, but the staff, especially the manager, has nasty attitudes. I was told that I could use my Groupon one day after its expiration date, because they were completely booked. I went to the salon only to be ambushed by the manager and another staff that I had to pay extra money to use my groupon, calling me a name. My nail technician was sweet, but people running the salon was not. They keep coming up with new Groupon deal, I guess to attract new customers. The lady answering the phone acted like she was doing me a favor by just answering the phone and then having to look at the schedule book. I went to this salon with a Groupon. I had my first appointment, and was actually charged an additional fee even though I had the exact service I had already paid for; the manager/owner was an incredibly rude woman, who was awful, even though she was very soft-spoken. When I went for my 2nd appointment [which I had made ahead of time] the Dragon Lady manager told me I had already used the two appointments, which was completely erroneous. Her records indicated that I had used the Groupon twice already, which was absolutely wrong; I had only actually had one appointment with my Groupon; she made me PAY for the 2nd appointment, even though I had my Groupon, which entitled me to a second manicure; the Groupon was marked with only the one date from my 1st appointment; I told her I had only used it once, but she didn't believe me. I reported the incident to Groupon. I would never return to this salon, and would not suggest anyone frequent this salon. The manager is unbelievably rude. I noticed that they keep running Groupon deals, which indicates that the salon does not have a regular customer base. No surprise; this manager could use some classes or instruction on positive and good customer service. She is a pretty horrible individual. This place is great. It's usually busy, so make an appointment, and it's only closed on Tuesdays. I have been going every two weeks for about a year, for a gel manicure and they have tons of colors. Also, manicures and pedicures come with a hot stone massage, every time, aahhhhmazing. Super clean and everyone is friendly! read more

So happy I found this salon!! Was in the area because of work and booked an appointment based on all of the positive reviews and I was not disappointed. Clean, comfortable and friendly. I felt very pampered and loved the hot stone massage with my pedi. Manicure was flawless and lasted 4 weeks!! I will now gladly drive an hour from my home to get my mani/Pedi's at this salon. I purchased the groupon for Nail Studio and was very disappointed with the final result. The routine pedicure and manicure procedures were fine but when it came to painting my nails and toes I have never been so unsatisfied. The end result looked like a young child painted my nails. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The owner is the rudest, most self-righteous business owner I have ever met and has zero ability to interact with other humans. It was so bad that I was prompted to sign up for Yelp just to write a review. I used my groupon in Nov (which was for 2 mani-pedis). I came in with my sister (whom I was expecting to pay for- I knew that I had to use the 2 groupons myself) and the woman (owner) yelled at me, "YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR HER! I'M NOT TAKING A GROUPON FOR HER!" OK ,fine, that was my expectation anyway. Got a decent mani-pedi. Nothing spectacular. At that appt she gave me a business card with her signature and told me I needed that card to redeem the second groupon. Came in a second time, didn't have the card, and she refused to honor the Groupon and made me pay even though she said she remebered me from the encounter with my sister. "TOO BAD! I TIOLD YOU YOU NEED CARD!" Came in a third time, this time with that card, and she said my appt was at 1. No, I said, I asked if we could do 1:30 because I had another appt until 1. She point-blank said, "Well I hung up on you so I never heard you ask that." WHAT? YOu are telling me you hung up on me? And you think this is acceptable? I do NOT intend to go back to use this second mani-pedi even though I am entitled to it because I just don't want to interact with this beast ever again. I say stay away. Bought a grouping for this place and everytime I tried to book they conveniently couldn't take a groupon reservation. Of course the day it expired they were booked but woman on phone promised to honor it the next day. When I arrived their were 4 workers all sitting with NO clients. The manager was so rude and told me I had to pay despite her employees error the day before. She had absolutely NO customer service!!! You would think with no clients they would want the business. I walked out.. I would rather waste the 25$ groupon them give that lady the satisfaction of my business. No way to treat a potential new client!! Wish I would have read these reviews before I tried this place. If I could give this less than one star I would. The nail service was adequate atmosphere was cold and the people were unfriendly. The manager was especially rude and did not inspire me to rebook even though my groupon was good for two services. I had brought my infant and she made it clear that she had little desire to accommodate us in the future. When I complained, I too was told that it was because she was not from here, however in my work I have work with people from other countries including hers and have been impressed with the politeness and etiquette. Her problem was not a language barrier but just plain rudeness. I question why you would want someone that is so obviously not good with customers be your front face of the shop. Do not go to this shop, the Nail Pro on Washington street or Perfect Nails Bussey street are significantly better and will give you the relax service that a nail salon should. read more
