I've been here a couple of times, the wait isn't terribly long but I have only gone during lunch time in the week. The first time an older gentleman did my nails and I LOVED THEM. They lasted a month with wear or tear. And I'm very hard on my nails. The next couple of times I got a lady, she was very sweet but I've had issues with my polish not staying on after only a day of wear. Needless to say if I go back I'll request to have that First Gentleman, But I was not impressed with the quality the last couple of trips. Clean salon with nice music, typically a little loud inside, but hey it is in the middle of a mall. read more

The store was a little dirty but the tools were prepackaged. The downside for me was paying $40 for a pedicure only to be done half way. The person that did my pedicure was in a hurry to leave for the day and made a point to say I was their last client. Some in my group liked their manicures, I just feel I could have done a better job myself rancher than pay the $40. read more

Went by today around 3:45-4PM, waited over an hour to get a gel manicure. The wait was ridiculous, but my manicurist explained they had three technicians out sick, so maybe the wait isn't normally AS bad. Other than the wait, she did an excellent job and was very meticulous with her work, which I appreciated. read more

This salon is one of the best in Hattiesburg. I visited last weekend to get a fill in on my gel nails. When I got there, they were very busy. I signed in and waited at least 30 minutes. However, the service I received was worth the wait. The workmanship of my nail tech was excellent and she took her time applying the gel and polish. She filed them down to the reasonable size I wanted while keeping the shape I already had. The facility is clean but a little cramped with limited waiting area seating. They have a huge selection of gel polish which made it very hard to choose a color as a top favorite. Overall, I was very impressed with the service and I will definitely make this my favorite nail salon in Hattiesburg! read more

I absolutely love this salon and if I could clone it and bring it home with me I would. While traveling on business, I needed a mani/pedi. There are two nail salons in the mall, and after questioning several people that worked in the mall, they all recommended this one salon. The prices are very reasonable compared to most salons I've been to. The salon seemed quite busy, but I can contest that every client was thoroughly taken care of to the highest standards. The workmanship of my nail tech was phenomenal. I never get gel nail polish because I've found it to be a waste of money. The polish never lasts the full 2 weeks that is advertised. I told me reservations to the nail tech who was doing my manicure and she assured me that if done properly, the gel nail polish would stay. She asked me to let her do the gel nail polish and if it didn't last the 2 week timeframe, I could call her back and she could credit my credit card back with a refund for my services. That spoke volumes because this tech was so certain of her services! Needless to say, 2 1/2 weeks later, my gel polish still looks as good as on day one and has only began to chip a little. And....here I am on Yelp writing this review. Again, this salon, the techs, their services are outstanding! I would travel back to Hattiesburg just to get my nails done at this salon if it wasn't a 4 hour drive from home. read more

I've been here a few times, and for some reason the quality of my manicures kept going down and down... I always get a dip mani because my nails are so weak, and the powder lets me keep the length of my nails short while keeping them strong. The first mani I got was amazing. It lasted for over 3 weeks, and the only reason I got them redone was because I was bored with the colors (of which they have TONS of choices). I probably could have left them on for another week and a half. The second time I went in, I had a different artist (they don't take appointments, so you write your name on a list and wait for a nail artist's station to be open, so you can't really request anyone specific). The artist did a pretty good job, but she didn't put as many coats of color on my nails, so they were a bit too thin for my liking. The third mani I got there was horrendous. I have no idea what happened, but I had nails chipping and starting to pop off in only a week and a half. I had to go to a new salon for a new manicure. It felt like such a waste of time and money. The one thing that *was* consists was that each of the three artists buffed my nails to DEATH. They each buffed my nails so thin with their dremels that (A) I could feel the heat of the dremel through my naked nail and it HURT, and (B) my nails were like paper and broke immediately when a nail popped off or chipped. When I entered the salon, everything looked clean and I was greeted/spoken politely to, but that's about the extent of the pros here. I wanted a gel manicure manicure and when my technician began filing my nails, I knew it wasn't gonna be good. I had tried so hard to grow my nails out naturally, and she shaved them COMPLETELY down. It was rough and painful. When she sent me to wash my hands, I had barely dried them when she handed me a book of colors to choose from. I took it from her, and sat down to look. She STOOD OVER ME, asking what color. I felt rushed, so in an honest 10 seconds, I picked a color. On my way out, I was thanked for my business, which I appreciated, but at the end of it, I was left with super short nails that were sore. And I'm not spending $30 at a salon to feel rushed or hurt. I was traveling from Florida back home to Louisiana on a Sunday and decided to stop at Turtle Creek Mall in Hattiesburg for a few services at a nail salon since all outside salons were closed due to it being a Sunday. This was my first time at Nails Square aka Nails 2 so I asked around before signing in. Didn't get any good reviews for them. I was warned by one shopper not to let them do my nails. I decided to sign in anyway, first mistake. I signed in around 3:20, they don't close until 6. The services I signed in for: overlay soak off, new overlay and polish change on toes. I should mention, to have your toes painted at this place is $12 (unheard of, too much) but I kept it to myself. At 5pm, 1 hour and 40 min. later they called me and asked what I needed although it was listed next to my name. I nicely told them what I needed. The older man yells out "too late for soak off, go over there, "he" do you". I walk away from the old man that called me looking confused as to why he's yelling and wondering why it's too late. I go over to "he" who tells me he will pop off the acrylic. Although I get overlays I have a very healthy set of nails that I'm proud of. In my always friendly, pleasant, professional voice I expressed that I would rather that he not "pop" off the acrylic but instead soak them off. He said it was was too late, they were closing in an hour. They completely ignored the fact that I was there since 3:20 which was plenty of time to have the services that I requested, rendered. Next, I expressed, politely, that I was concerned that it may hurt or damage my nails to have them popped off. The nail tech (heavy set Asian man, in case you're wondering who) said "well, if you think it's going to hurt, you can go to another salon." I'm not sure why he was so rude to a customer who simply & camly objected to their unsafe solution of removing acrylic from my natural nail. I could've gotten loud and gave him the reaction that he was probably used to but instead I continued to be pleasant (all with a smile). I said "well, that was very rude of you and I will definitely go elsewhere, God Bless you." I get up to leave and he yells in front of all the clients "you need Jesus!" I was embarrased and shocked. Never have I ever been treated with such disrespect for absolutely, no reason, when paying for a service. My response to him when I walked out was "I already have HIM." The purpose of this review is to tell any and everyone in the Hattiesburg area NOT to support this low class nail salon. I should've listened to the numerous shoppers in the mall who suggested that I not go to Nails Squared. Lesson Learned. #saynotonailssquared read more

I was a walk- in needing a fill- in for a full set. I signed in and waited around 25 before I was called. I picked out my color and sat down with my nail tech. She was friendly and made conversation with me. She did a great job on the fill in. The polish application was smooth. It was $15 and I left a tip. She did great!
