I'd been going to the same hairstylist in Jackson since my wife chose her at Earle and Joseph's. Wherever she went after that we went with her. Their conversational styles are completely different. Man! Where do I even start…read more When I first walked in I noticed this wasn't a typical hair salon, which I liked. The lady was nice and down to earth. We talked about what I wanted and how we could achieve it. When she started to lose me was when she told me she had to dye my whole head the dark color THEN do the bleach for the look I wanted. I have never heard of this technique but I was trying to trust her opinion because she is the one certified and licensed, not me. My hair when I walked in was a light brown and had blonde on the ends from a previous color I had done a while back. So I didn't understand the need to dye it dark then do bleach but again I trusted her and the process. The brown was okay but when she did the bleach is when I wanted to CRY. My hair was fried. The bleach on my hair turned it ORANGE! I told her during the consultation if she couldn't do this then don't because the last think I want is fried orange hair. She told me again and again she could do it. BOY WAS I IN FOR A TREAT! She washed the bleach out with shampoo and blow dried it. Please note I said only shampoo, no conditioner. I told her I did not like the orange and I wanted to maybe dye it a light brown just so I wouldn't look like a troll walking around Hattiesburg! She did and again the front of my hair was ORANGE! So I told her to just dye it dark like the rest of my hair. She washes the dye out and again only used shampoo. She does the dark brown and 20 minutes later it's still light light brown. It didn't match my hair. So she washes it out and again uses only shampoo! Not one time did she use conditioner! I HAD TO ASK HER TO ISE CONDITIONER ON MY HAIR! How ridiculous! I told her I didn't want her blow drying my hair since it was brittle and fried. I asked her to put in a conditioning treatment and she literally said "I haven't placed any orders lately so I don't have anything like that!" Then here comes the sickening part! She tells me the total! $220!!! Her face when she said it even looked disgusted like it wasn't worth that and it WASNT! I left the salon completely devastated! Do NOT go here!!! The schedule manager, Denise is friendly, funny, and makes everyone feel welcome. She is an absolute doll. Ernie, my heart, is truly an artist. He is the best stylist and colorist I have ever had. (I have not always lived in the area) He also has my children (15yrs+) and husband as clients. Jody, the house masseuse and an owner has wicked skills, according to my husband. He has a standing appointment and she has been wonderful for his pain management. We love them all for the service they provide and their tolerance with my crazy family.
