12/6/19 - Okay I used to LOVE this place, but not anymore. I moved back to this side of town and I really wanted to love it here so before I wrote this review I came three different times. Basically Van (nail shop owner) is the ONLY good nail tech here. So if you don't make an appointment with him, you'll leave upset. I've tried to correct the lady that does my nails but she doesn't listen. She said twice it was my nail bed or my finger crooked. The shellac was chunky. I tried to tell her that and nope. Didn't listen. I gave up on my nails. The pedicures....I asked the lady to use the scrub thing on my heels. She said okay and just didn't. I asked twice and she didn't. Basically she just let me feet sit in water and massages them. Nothing else. Her polish skills were lackluster. Honestly I can't. I tried so hard to like this place but after three back to back lackluster experiences I just no longer can waste my money here. It's quiet here so it's relaxing but that's the only reason I gave it two stars instead of one.

Cellulitis Infection from my pedicure 2/28, picture taken 3/3 after visiting Doctor. Being treated with antibiotics used for staph/mrsa.
    Haley F.

Beware: Pedicure gave me severe infection! I got a pedicure last Sunday. By Monday I had visible redness and swelling around both of my big toes. Tuesday the swelling increased along with pain, throbbing and puss along the cuticles the tech dug into. I visited a doctor this morning and turns out I have a serious infection called Cellulitis. I was prescribed Clindamycin which is an antibiotic used to treat MRSA and Staph infections. I was told I would have to come back after 48 hours after starting antibiotics to have the puss drained from toes. I have probably had hundreds of pedicures and have never had any complications. The water was already drawn for me by the time I had selected my nail polish color. It's safe to say that either the foot bath basin was not cleaned properly or their tools were dirty. We've all been knicked when getting cuticles cut but there has to be bacteria there to enter the wounds and that's obviously what has happened. So my $30 pedicure with $8 tip cost me a $50 co-pay and $15 for my prescription... not to mention having to take off work, not being able to wear shoes because of the pain and the side effects along with the strong antibiotics. Just avoid this salon at all possible.

The technicians were friendly and willing to take my walk in visit 30 minutes before closing. I called before heading over to make sure the timing was okay. Although polish application was good, everything else tied to my pedicure was noticeably rushed - scrubbing and smoothing skin; cuticle care (mistakes happen but ouch --slow down when cutting). I asked the tech to skip the massage and hot stones so she wouldn't have to stay too long after closing time, but I'm not a fan when the quality of the main service is compromised.

I made an appointment for dip nails. I ended up getting a pedicure for $20 as well, and the nails were $45. The dip nails were a little more pricey than most places, but the pedicure was inexpensive so it sort of evened out. The dip nails ended up looking great, but my manicurist (a man, I didn't catch his name) filed my skin off on almost every finger. It was the worst on my pinkies, and left ugly scabs. I asked him to be more careful, and he didn't even try, just kept filing my skin off. I was willing to maybe try this salon again despite the scabs from over-filing, however my nail broke off for no reason after only 4 days. I have had dip nails done elsewhere that have lasted for a month, no problem. I am extremely dissatisfied paying $45 for scabs and broken nails. Would not recommend for manicures, although the pedicure was fine and included hot stones.

So glad i discovered this little gem! This salon has amazing service and very affordable prices. The pedicure comes standard with a hot stone massage and callus removal and the (gel) manicure comes with a neck massage -- all for an unbeatable price! And it doesn't stop there. The service is impeccable! Not only is the staff super nice, they're informative and will tell you about the health of your nails. I loved my experience here and will certainly be back :)

First timer here and I will be back. The salon is clean and friendly. The owner, a man, refilled my acrylic nails and did a great job. He spent extra time to fix them up and clip he portions that were separating from my nail to make sure my nails stay healthy. He's a nail doctor!

Love love love this place. They never keep me waiting and are friendly. They remove my old gel nail polish and get a gel pedicure for only $40! I haven't found that price for the same service anywhere!!! I come here for the price, and the quality of service. Plus, my gel pedicure lasts a really long time!

Fabulous place!! We come here 1-2 a month. They take good care of you, they are fast, and it's very clean here.. They differently give the best customer service. They get very very busy so make an appointment if you're in a hurry! I must say that we usually just come and there's enough workers to take care of us :)

    Hey Jude D.

Ladies are friendly and they do a great job. I go for mani pedis. Fyi they include a hand massage and hot stone leg massage. Recently tried shellac for first time and I am hooked. Great shellac color selection. Lasts about 3 weeks before they start to lift up at the edges.

So first, when we went there most of the nail polish colors my friend wanted or I were out, but there was not way to know until your technician told you. We went through this process for a few rounds before finding out what colors weren't available. I wasn't use to this because usually other nail salons I go to either mark on the nails itself that it's out or take out that sample completely, so customers won't bother with it. Then when we had the nails done, I know they kept pushing my friend for a higher priced nail set, when she was clear and adamant he wasn't interested in the pricier items, but they wouldn't let it go. It's supposed to be a peaceful experience not an upsale. So getting my nails itself, done was okay. However, I was trying to salvage a bad situation with my friend, because what a horrible impression. When I go pay, I present my gift certificate. The cashier declines it. It's a Isle Pedi Spa gift certificate. Mind you, my husband had previously spoken to a manager about the gift certificates being lost, how they'd honor them, all that jazz. That was already handled. However, the front desk told me there was no manager on site and when she called "a manager" no one answered or picked up. I just don't think they wanted to accept it. So they have me wait. It's like 15, 20 minutes and the manager doesn't call back. What if it was an emergency and what establishment doesn't have a manager on duty? What if a lady got injured? So the front desk cashier, was like, leave your number and if they accept it they'll call you. To which I said, I rather just talk to the manager, regardless whether the gift certificate is honored or not to address my concerns. She does make a note of it, but no manager calls. I paid the full price, but I also feel money was wasted on gift certificates and this business pretended no manager was ever on duty to get away with this type of behavior. No thank you. There are way too many nail salons in Houston to put up with this kind of foolishness. Hell, I've gone to pricier ones and cheaper places with better customer service. Like I said there are a million great cheap and expensive place. This isn't it. An absolute pass.

I came in for a manicure pedicure. For the manicure, I wanted builder gel with design on a couple of my nails and pedicure. Just a regular gel pedicure Pedicure: if I come back again, it's only exclusively to get a pedicure done and that to a basic gel pedicure. And that's because of the 20% of discount that I can get. Other than that, even the pedicure was suboptimal. The massage was just a lady rubbing her finger around in circles around my foot and a little bit of my ankle. No pressure whatsoever and didn't even massage my calf. On top of that, everyone around me was getting a neck massage after or some sort of back massage. I didn't get anything like that. The pedicure cost for what I get is still pretty expensive including the 20% off discount where I might as well go somewhere else get everything I get for the same exact cost. Manicure: I'm actually embarrassed right now to show my nails off for the next month. I do nails at home so I have somewhat of an idea as to how the quality of the builder gel should look as well as certain nail paint and nail design. I got a cat eye done, and I can see the brush strokes of the nail paint on my nails of the cat eye. I can also see the difference of the layers that she did on my nails. I can see the basic nail paint then I can see on the side of my nail where she didn't cover my entire nail with the cat eye color. On top of that my nails are not rounded evenly. They are all not equal in length. The nail paint isn't even applied evenly. It's applied at an angle so you can tell where it's close to touching my cuticle to where there's a solid gap between my cuticle area and the nail polish. The design isn't even remotely close to what I showed her. When I made the appointment, I asked them to book me with someone who can do nail art because I've had bad experience with nail art not looking remotely close to what I show. They promised they would book me with someone who's experienced. I hate to say this, but I could have done a better nail art job by myself. The cherry on top for me was when I had to apply my own cuticle oil on my own nails. At the end of the day if I ever come back here, it's to get a basic pedicure done with the 20% off discount. They are not good at doing cat eye. I'm not saying this based off of my experience. I'm also saying it based off a couple of friends who got cat eye here and were disappointed. The level of work I got done with the 20% off discount is how much I pay at a regular nail salon so I might as well just go to regular nail salon especially if they up-charge here to then give me a " 20% off ".
