I want to start off saying that I have had great manicures and pedicures here, but they are hit and miss. If you get one of the regular folks that work there, they do a great job - but if you go on the weekend, it can go bad fast. The manicure I got this last Sunday was the worst manicure I have ever had. To start, the gentleman was clearly sick, sniffling and coughing up flem. He was wearing an ill-fitting mask but shouldn't have been working. He was so fast and rushed, he made me bleed several times trimming my cuticles. And to make the experience even more relaxing, he had his phone in his pocket and his Ring was going off every 2 minutes. Awful. Returning customer here but this time I came in on Saturday at 5pm. Started off great, then a guy took over the service and gave me the ultimate rush job. I'm left with nails that already look grown out after 2 days, jagged cuticles, thick nails, uneven shaping, etc. All around a crappy rushed job. My toes are extremely damaged and injured almost two weeks later. I went the day before my flight to Hawaii for vacation and the entire week long trip I was in pain and having a hard time walking due to the pedicure I got. I've never gotten ingrowns and know they you are not supposed to cut the sides of the toe nail, but that's what they did, very deeply. I even bled. The manicure wasn't bad, but it already gone and it hasn't been two weeks even, no I don't pick at them. I don't feel comfortable putting a photo of my toes on yelp, but the corners were red, purple, and puffy for about 10 days. so basically i went here to get my nails done, and the lady who was taking off my previous nails was using some sort of guitar pic or smth, this took off half of my nail on two fingers. it hurt. she then proceeded to file my nails for about an hour and a half. to the point where around my fingers had little cuts around my cuticles. i wouldn't go again. but the employees were really nice and i heard some pretty nice convos happening while i was there. the nails are really cute tho. read more

Lady rushed my nails. I was rushed out of the salon. I was charged $85 for nails that aren't nearly quality. The acrylic is all the way done on my skin, the application of the acrylic is super messy, she rushed has process. One of my nail tips fell off, I didn't hit it or anything it just came off. My natural nails are also burning under the tips. I defenitly don't recommend this place at all. I will be looking in to getting a refund. Horrible. Came here asking for a full set of french tip coffin shape. I requested my nails to be shortened multiple times but the nail artist refused to shorten and said it wouldnt look good short. I have been looking for a new nail salon in Sonoma for several months and one of my friends recommended Nails Pro. I can tell you it was anything but a PRO experience. I went in for a gel manicure. The guy immediately started cutting my nails, he didn't even ask about shaping, length, or anything. I told him they were already very short and I was trying to grow them out. He immediately started cutting my nails. I honestly think he thought I said, make them short! I stopped him and told him once again said, not short, please don't cut them. He smiled and continued to cut my already short nails even shorter. At this point, I asked if someone else could do my nails. A nice lady, likely the salon owner offered to do them. She was very careful not to make them any shorter but then when she painted my nails, she did not paint all of the way to the cuticle. I asked her if she could and she said it was bad for my nails to do so. really?? I know some salons don't want to paint all of the way to the cuticles because they think the gel will be more likely to lift. I have not had that experience and think it's really up to what the customer wants. Needless to say, she ignored me and it was the one and ONLY time I will ever go there. The woman who worked on me -- I think she may have been the owner -- was talking on her phone for much of the time she was working on my feet, then proceeded to talk incessantly to another worker there. So after three years I went back to visit nail Pro. For three years prior to that, I spent over $3000 over three years having my nails done there. Not one single person other than the owner ( Lam) ( and Grandma who made the appointment day before) on the way out the door acknowledged me. And they All KNOW my name. If someone spent over $3000 at your establishment wouldn't you know them HELLO For a full hour...I even tried to make conversation with Jennifer who used to do my nails. I told her she had a pretty top it was pink with pearls she completely ignored me. To say they are rude is an understatement. They don't know why for three years I didn't see them. They don't know what my personal story is. But if you want to go somewhere with catty girls that behave like teenagers knock yourself out!!! They do a nice job, but after my experience today I'm NOT going back. I was getting gel manicure, and the technician asked me to move closer. She had her mask dropping down below her mouth and I asked her very nicely if she would mind pulling her mask up. She gave me a very dirty look and then pretty much left me until another tech finally came and took over. She did not pull her mask up when asked to an appropriate fit, just kind of pretended to. Last time I was there I noticed she didn't have a secure mask either but she did not do my nails. It's NOT that hard to buy employees masks that fit! And it's NOT that hard to do the right thing and wear the damn mask! I'm fully vaccinated but expect merchants to follow the rules to keep their clients safe from all of these new variants making our lives hell!! Wise up! Mask up! Too short too short" right before and as she clipped them way too short. I told her "no that's too short" and she said "oh ok". Then she cut my cuticle until it was bleeding. Honestly once I got there the place did not look very amusing. For example, when I sat down to get my nails done, the guy who was doing my nails was being very aggressive. He cut through my actual nail with his scissors. Throughout the whole thing he kept hurting me. My whole hand was turning red and my nails didn't even look good. They weren't even my size and the color was off. After 30 minutes with the nails my hands hurt really bad and I had to go to the hospital. I had blisters all over my hands and they were very swollen. The staff here is nice and professional. The massage chairs here are excellent! I'm a worrier for cleanliness in nail salons and this place seems pretty good. They put plastic liners around the foot tubs which is great. They also give a nice warm stone foot and leg massage as part of the pedicure. There are other local nail salons, but this one usually has a space to fit me and I always have a good experience. My nails always look perfect before I walk out the door. read more

We waited around till they opened there were two people ahead of us who didn't have appointments and were serviced. They had us sit down at the end and proceeded with my partner. They didn't even start on my nails until after my partners were finished and we had to say something to even get them to start on my nails. I really try to like this place ‍ but I have to say about 90 percent of the time I'm not "at all" very happy with my experience. TIPS = To Insure Proper Service .... I TIP very well but it doesn't seem to insure proper service whether it's the quality of the work or the customer service. It's really to the point it's not worth trying to get a decent service anymore. I keep trying, but finally have come to the conclusion that I'm not willing to try once more. The last time I was in, I had a mani pedi cost me 75 dollars and my nail polish was chipping off same day without effort ... I can soak my feet and paint my nails for free considering the service is not much of a pleasurable experience if you are just painting my nails, I can do that! .... Zen nails is my go to nail place in Santa Rosa. It's very clean and comfortable and I always get consistent good service. They really try hard to give you a great experience with free drinks, shoulder massage with every manicure and brand new massage chairs. They are my gold standard amd I have a hard time going anyplace else. Make an appointment in advance though. They are booked up daily and rarely take drop ins. read more

Once the people had come to do our nails, they were both continuously up and down assisting others at the same time. Our nails were no better than a home-job we could have done ourselves. They were rude and made it seem as if it was such a hassle to have people in the salon. On top of that, I am mad at myself for tipping! As it is a courtesy and I normally tip well, I am upset that I felt guilty if I didn't tip. I should not have given them extra after already paying for something that was not well done. Read this as ZERO stars!! Change the name from Nail Pro to Lazy Nails. The girls that run this shop are just plain lazy and unfriendly. They act like they are doing you a huge favor by taking you as a walk-in. I left today with sloppy work on my toes and clearly that's the standard here. They cut my nails but didn't clean them.
