Go to Blush - you won't regret it. I just had my bachelorette weekend and they hosted my wedding party for a really lovely spa day. They hosted us in the comfiest robes with tons of charcuterie, mimosas, coffee, and sweet treats. It was such a lovely way to unwind inbetween our services. I received one of the most relaxing facials of my entire life and my skin looked amazing afterwards. I also got a massage with a sound bath. I run a lot so the work the masseuse did on my feet was pure bliss. I was happy to find a place in Sonoma that was close to home to get a simple eye brow wax. Normally I have to drive to Santa Rosa to go to a Benefit Brow Bar. I wanted to support a woman owned and local establishment. I won't be going back to this location. I was 10 minutes early to my appointment, and my appointment took all of five minutes. Dolores came in introduce herself and asked me if I've been there before which I responded to that I had not. She never asked me if I used any medication that could interfere with the wax or did any cleanup/grooming of the brows before applying the wax. When I mentioned that it seemed that they were not even, she went back again and cleaned them up a bit. There was no post brow clean up. In fact I ended up leaving with some pink wax residue on the bridge of my nose. I think she was in a hurry because she may have been double booked. That's a scheduling problem. I was stood up yesterday by Delores for a paid Hydrofacial, emailed immediately, and never received a response. I just emailed again. Based on her responses here, which I should have read before ever setting foot in the place, I am expecting defensiveness and excuses. I should have asked for my money back last month when I asked to reschedule my appointment last month at the peak of Omicron in Sonoma County and had to email three times to get a response. I was finally emailed that "Cindy has availability on that day and time! Would you like me to switch you? Cheers the blush team " Less than one hour later I wrote, "Yes, please. Thank you." I showed up for my appointment at 10:25 for my 1030 appointment, and knocked on the door, which was locked. I assumed they were short-staffed and my facialist would show up shortly, so I sat down on a chair right outside the shop. After 10:30 came and went, I got up to try the door again and someone had put a sticky note from the inside that said, "With a client until 11:30." Now two emails and nearly 24 hours later, no response. ETA: I have now received multiple emails from Delores that were highly unprofessional, made excuses, lied (saying that I had paid for one month of membership versus three) and subtly and not-so-subtly blamed me for her inability to stay in basic communication and honor her PREPAID service agreements. Somehow she has time to send multiple long emails to now-former customers but not time to set up a calendar system for scheduling appointments. I ended up disputing the February charge on my credit card after she told me that I could not disengage from continuing to pay for membership services not rendered for another three months. The crazy thing is, even after disputing the February credit, Delores still has received more than full rate for the two services I received from her in October and December. I have literally paid her MORE than her full asking rate for two standalone services, not membership level fees. However, despite this, and despite me saying "Ok, enough is enough, time to stop emailing me now," I woke up this morning to yet another passive aggressive email. I have deep compassion for small business owners during this time, I am one myself! I feel sorry for this person, who is clearly in over her head, but that doesn't mean I owe her my money for poor service with a side of verbal shaming. read more

Called the day before and they had a opening today so I took it. Overall the massage wasn't bad, but it was definitely not the massage that was advertised. I booked the Detox massage that was supposed to be similar to a lymphatic drainage massage. It wasn't anything close. The massage I received was just a basic Swedish massage. On top of that she was almost 10 minutes late starting the massage and still ended at the time my massage was supposed to end. So I basically got shorted by 10 minutes. Not horrible, but there are way better places to get massages. I won't be returning. read more

The actual foot massage was not bad. (Was very pricey for what it was though) But be aware that they only have two rooms for services. My mother in law made multiple appointments for a "spa party" and it wasn't clearly communicated that the others would have to sit and wait while we had our services done. I booked a spa party for my sisters bachelorette party and was completely blown away by how flexible, accommodating, and friendly every single person who helped our group and I was. Dolores and Jocelyn made our entire experience so memorable, we truly had the best day! My husband and I both received massages here while on vacation. I was 20 weeks pregnant and had a phenomenal prenatal massage. They set me up with large pillows to lay on my side and it worked perfectly. It was my first time getting a prenatal massage, and it did not disappoint. We had a party of 5 booked and was told that it was a full day spa experience with beverages included. Water was available. Luckily 2 did not show up because they had 2 therapists and I had to wait until the first 2 people were finished. I sat for 30 minutes before I asked if there was a problem and then that was explained to me. It is a tiny facility and another person came in unmasked and was not asked to put on a mask. I did not want the rest of my group to have to wait for me as well and had to pay their 50% cancellation fee. $70 for nothing. I hope at least some of the money went to the therapists. read more

I had a prenatal massage here. I'm generally hesitant to post a negative review for nice people, but I feel like I should share my experience because the massage is expensive, pregnancy costs run up so quickly, and pregnancy is hard--all making a good massage a rare, but really welcome break. First off, the location is really nice, and the staff were super pleasant. And it has a very easeful environment. That said, the prenatal massage was just no good for me. The massage table was in no way contoured or adjustable for pregnant women. Just a regular old table, and three plain bedroom pillows. My masseuse didn't give me any meaningful direction on the pillows ("maybe put one between your legs"). At one point in the "massage," she said "I need better access to that leg," without giving me any suggestion on how to adjust. She applied an appreciable level of pressure to a focused area rarely, and then only briefly. And instead, she spent most of the "massage" gently rubbing oil over me, adjusting my blanket, and applying hot washcloths (then leaving them there long after they were cold). Bottom line, this massage did nothing for my pregnancy aches and pains. Ladies, if you are pregnant and need a good prenatal massage, based on my experience, I would look elsewhere. read more

As my friend who accompanied me stated: "This place will be memorable because it was so bad." This review is for massages only. At first I thought maybe they just didn't do prenatal massages well -- but turns out my non-pregnant friends also had pretty bad massages as well. Our background: 4 physical therapists, so we know the body and manual work. I've had multiple prenatal massage since being pregnant and this was close to the worst one. My massage 'therapist' was overall too aggressive, had a frenetic energy, gooped way too much lotion on and had no rhyme or reason to the way she worked (would start at a shoulder, go to the neck, 2 seconds on the low back, then back to the neck). She started out my prenatal massage with 1 thin pillow at my head, stating the other 'therapist' had taken all the pillows (she then went into the other massage room during my friends' prenatal massage and took back 1 pillow). MAJOR NOTE: this place actually charges MORE ($23 more) for a prenatal massage than a regular massage, which I have never seen before!? Why charge MORE, when I am essentially getting LESS??? There were no extra pillows, no special techniques used, no fancy pregnancy prone pillow. This pricing is enough to be annoyed by. But most of all -- a pregnant lady may be your easiest customer: we are achey! we are tired! We just want a relaxing rub down! Focus on the painful low back! The swollen feet! OR .... not. It was completely un-relaxing. The lady first asked me to begin sitting upright ... on the massage table (which is weird.... I'm naked. Do I hold the sheet over my body while dangling my legs over the side?) So when she came in, I was lying on my side; she said she'd start in side lying -- then came at me with a handful of goopy lotion at my shoulder. No light touch or deep breaths to begin. Just SLAP GOOP GOOP. The tiny room had a buzzing light fixture the whole time (not the masseuses' fault but definitely does not fit under the category of relaxing). I usually don't write this long of reviews, because no one wants to read complaining (or complimentary) reviews this long so I'll end with 2 things. 1. when I was bending my knees to help alleviate my low back, she grabbed a hanging robe and stuffed it under my legs. Resourceful? I guess. Weird? Yes. 2. the other massage lady (via 2 friends' reviews) was the total opposite: uber light touch, would literally do one light skin to skin brush upon her arm and then move to another body part. *apparently her foot massage was good at least. Seems like if anything, the owner needs to have these two massage each other and honestly critique each other. Maybe things would improve with some feedback because this customer would never recommend this place. I'm bummed they got over $400 out of us that weekend.... Bad. It was just bad. read more

It was just okay for me. I got a groupon which includes 60 min Lotus Wei massage, pedicure and 90-min led light facial therapy. I really enjoyed the pedicure. She ( don't remember her name ) did a good job. They don't have professional pedicure chairs, so soak your feet in a big basin. I felt weird at first since I'm used to big chairs w massage and jacuzzi. But I felt okay thinking that it may be more sanitary. Next, the massage. I like deep tissue massages, so I felt it wasn't hard enough for me. But Lotus Wei massage is a different type of a massage, so it's not fair to compare. The therapist was friendly, and it was a relaxing experience regardless. Lastly, the LED light therapy. My skin felt smooth and clean afterwards. Delores told me that my current skin care products are making my skin clogged. That explained why was keep getting white heads. She suggested a skin are line that would be good for me without trying to sell stuff to me. I really appreciate that. Only downside was that the 90-min facial treatment was cut down to 60/75 min b/c other treatments ran longer (so I was told afterwards). I think they need to be mindful and manage time wisely. I didnt ask the other treatments to be longer and cut down my facial. read more

I just spent a great day at Blush with some girlfriends! For as much as we love them, we were in dire need of a spa getaway from our hubbies and kiddos, and a quick trip up to Sonoma was perfect. Blush is awfully cute. When you walk in, you're greeted by the owner, Dolores. The reception area has a nice comfy couch, tons of organic and natural skin care products to browse through, "angel" cards, and a whole bevy of essential oils to sniff. Our group of 4, unfortunately, had to be split over two days, as the spa is small and doesn't have enough treatment rooms. We also bought the groupons, and were informed after purchase that they could only accommodate 2 groupon purchases in a day. No big whoop - M&S were pampered on Saturday, and M and I had our treatments on Sunday. I had the 90 minute massage with Kathy. She has magic hands. Not the most forceful massage, and I do love me a strong, deep tissue massage, but she seemed to have a 6th sense about where to find and address the kinks that you didn't know you have. Dolores is an experienced esthetician and did all of our facials. We had a great little chat about natural skin care lines, as I'm concerned with hyperpigmentation (sun spots). She recommended a good line, and I purchased the trial size...it's supposed to last 6 weeks, which I think will be enough time to notice some difference. Back to the facial ... great great great job. I don't have sensitive skin and actually like the tingly sensation that I got from the fruit acid serum. The room, although small, has a great chair that was the perfect place to spend 75 minutes after the 90 minute massage wore me out. There were lots of different cleansers and serums and creams and what not, but all of them were from the 97% natural Emergin-C line. She also did a few blackhead extractions, and had the gentlest hands. I've had other facials where I've left bruised and feeling not so happy thoughts towards the esthetician after the extraction work, but Dolores was a total pro and knew just how much pressure to apply. I'd definitely come back if there is another Groupon offer or for a facial alone. read more
