I can't even consider giving a single star for his business. It is probably the worst nail salon that I have ever been. Most disturbing is how rude the front desk is when you walk in. They absolutely do not take walk ins and don't ever honor appointment times either. So you end up basically waiting for a long time no matter what you do. What a shame because the space is decent and clean and open on Sundays. Our area deserves better. I hope they go out of business or at least fire the front desk person. read more

I'm not one for reviews but this was SO BAD that I had to warn others not to go here. This was the ABSOLUTE WORST PEDICURE I've ever received. First, the lady ELI was talking on her phone and to the other lady the entire time. Apparently it was distracting her because she only did my cuticles on one foot and then forgot to scrub down the other foot later on. My nails were burning from the amount of alcohol she kept using on it and I looked down to see that under all of my nails were bleeding from her. What a frustrating experience. Came in for a quick mani pedi and was moved from my original manicurist to a less than adequate one. I had polish all over my fingers and air bubbles on 4 nails. My toes look like my 3 year old niece did them. After politely letting this women finish I went to the counter to pay and they tried charging me for a regular mani/pedi. This place used to be in a smaller space next door. They moved to a much larger and nicer space. I had a pedicure and waxing here. All of the women who work there are professional and friendly. The prices are typical for the area. It is conveniently located and parking is easy in the big lot. I would go here again. read more

This is the rudest salon I've ever been to. They convinced me to get the Esse Polish (+$5), swearing it worked, then next time I went they were talking about how it does nothing in Spanish, obviously not realizing I could understand them. A third time I was a walk in and asked if they had time for a manicure, they literally laughed in my face. Not because they were so busy, bc the place was dead. The staff here is exceptionally off-putting and rude, or at least everyone I encountered was. The woman at the front desk was very rude through every step of the process.The attitude I was given really made me question if I had done something wrong? I tried to speak with my nail tech, but she was uninterested I guess. I got a manicure and my nails don't look much better than when I came in. I was really hoping this place would be great considering all the services they offer but I will not return due to how I was treated. I came here for a mani and pedi, and I was very satisfied with my visit. Sharon did my mani pedi service and she was meticulous with every step in a good way. My mani and pedi turned out just how I wanted it and in exceptional quality. I like how they pay attention to cleanliness by using a one time use disposable plastic liner inside the foot baths and using a brand new nail buffer each time. The nail salon itself is very clean and nicely furnished. Everyone working there acts professionally. I plan to come here again. read more

Nails plus in Shrewsbury I made appointment. Went in early and they weren't happy about that. First they told me to pick my color I never use there nail polish I was going for the full pedicure. Then once I was in the chair expecting the full package to my surprise only got a regular pedicure....i would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. .. read more

I started coming here a few months ago as my last wonderful manicurist became ill and has taken an extended leave. I am pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail that Bianca provides. Since this salon is much larger than my previous salon, I expected to feel rushed through, but this is not the case. However, more important to me than the quality of my mani / pedi, is learning how well the employees are treated. That means a lot me me! My manicurist travels a considerable distance to work here. Good, convenient location. The staff members are all so friendly from the receptionists to the technicians. The prices are fair and the coupons they send when you become a member cover manis, pedis, and special combo deals so you know you're getting a good deal every time. Sunday was the first time I ever at this place. I had an appointment and showed up 15 minutes early knowing I would have to pick a color, You walk in they tell you to pick a color. I spent 15 minutes choosing a color because every color I picked they did not have available. The manicurist they assigned to me decided she couldn't wait any longer and took another customer even though I had an appointment and was early just so I could pick my color. They gave me someone else as we sit down the manager tells me the color I picked last was not available. The pedicure was awful, not one piece of skin flaked off, the manicure wasn't any better. Every nail on my fingers & toes has over polish on the sides and uneven coloring. I would never go back to place. It's a shame since it's so close to my job read more

I have never experienced such incompetence. KIM told me it was my fault I did not tell her I had tips on prior to her doing my nails even though I informed them and even so ITS HER JOB. She is the professional!!! She literally used the words "it's your fault." I honestly would not have been mad about the mistake and extra time it took but it was how she handled the situation. She then used UV light on my dip powder? Which makes no sense considering dip powder is to prevent the use of UV light. Lastly, at the end of this long, unpleasant experience, my nails had white spots on them and I confronted KIM about it and she said it's supposed to be like that. I said well it didn't look like that on the sample. Then I had no idea what she was trying to say. She still was going to charge my full price after all of this. I have never written a review before because I understand we are all human and things happen, but at the end of the day they were very very rude to me and made everything seem as if it was my fault. I called ahead of time to see how much it would be for the full set of LCN tips and they said it was going to be $105. Online it said $80 so that was the first issue. When I got there they said it would be $125 and then when I went to pay I gave the lady $135 at the front and she asked me for an additional $15. I'm 18 years old and I know I should have said something but they seemed very angry and at that point I was about to cry so I knew I just needed to leave. My nails were done fine but there is no reason I should walk in expecting nails to cost $105 which is already ridiculous and leave having paid over $150. They make up their prices and I think they took advantage of me because of my age. All around very rude and I will not be going back. I have been using this salon for a few years now and have been happy with most of the technicians here. I find they take me on time, the salon is large, clean and the prices are fair for the area. It is difficult to walk in on the weekends as they are usually booked solid. I have tried other salons in the area and I wait a while to be seen even when I have an appointment. The second I got the worst manicure I've ever had and this last time was no better. She only gets points for not making me shed blood but it was the second worst pedicure I've ever had. This is a terrible salon. About a year ago my sister (who was 15) asked for a lip waxing, and came out of the room with botched and burned EYEBROWS. Didn't even ask for that!! The lady was rude and snarky when we asked what happened. I came back today for a manicure because my usual place was all booked for today and it was definitely the worst thing i have ever gotten. My appointment was at 4:00 and i was done by 4:07 (no joke) with my nails looking like a 5 year old did them. She hardly filed my nails and didn't even do my cuticles! The lotion she put on was enough to put on my big toe, not my whole hand, and put each stroke on extremely thick. I confronted the front desk and the lady lied and said she did cut them even though it was clear they weren't. She "cut" them and then put on another thick coat. Hopefully it doesn't peel off in 2 days! This is the worst experience i have had with manicures. I wish i could rate it 0 stars. Do not go here. Worst salon ever. read more

Nails Plus is a clean salon, however, everyone you encounter is extremely rude. Went there for the first time this weekend. I was introduced to Kay and was instructed to pick a color. I guess I didn't select one quick enough because with an attitude I was asked if I needed 20 minutes. I than pointed to a nail design on the wall to make conversation I said it was cool. Kay told me she's not doing that it takes too long. I should have walked away then. Once I sat down with her I told her I was a new client. Then my price went from $35 to $50. I was charged $15 because I had a color on my nails. I have never heard of this before. When I made the appointment I told them what I had and they told me $35. She did my gel fill manicure quick and it was nothing out of the ordinary. The receptionist was also rude and gave a different reason for the high price. If negative stars were an option this place deserves it. I read the reviews on here and thought that it was possible that people judged too harshly, so not the case with this place!! Got my nails filled, asked for them to be short and natural looking French gel. Well, I got short, stubby nails that pointed upwards. None of them even looked the same on either hand and they certainly didn't look the same as what I came in with! Not to mention that the next day one chipped! I called because I was unhappy and they asked "what would you like us to do?!" In a very unfriendly manor. I said I would either like them fixed or I wanted my money back (they charged me $50 for a fill!!) so they said to come in and someone would fix them. By the time I get there I was so disappointed with them that I asked to just have them taken off. I think it was the manager who approached me first but I'm not sure, she took a brief look at my nails and said to go to one of the tables. I sit with this new nail tech who proceeds to take off my nails, then she asks me for one of my cigarettes!! I didn't have any in my purse so I said I'd give her one when we were done. As licensed Cosmetologist, I know the proper way to remove gel nails, this place is not proper by any means.... they DRILLED THEM OFF rather than the proper soaking in acetone!!!!! So I'm finally done and am told to go to the desk to sort out the payment as it is normally $20-25 for nail removals. I say I want my $50 back that spent the day before, I was told they can only do 50%. FINE I think in my head I just want out of here and what do they do?!? I get a $25 gift card back!!! "Why would I go back??" I think but just take it and walk out. With that, the woman who took my nails off follows me to my car to get one of my cigarettes!!! Then starts getting an attitude with me after I give her one and say I probably won't be back (just to be friendly because I certainly will NOT be back) she got so nasty with me that I got in my car and decided to write this review!! I have been going to this salon for a few years and today I had THE worst salon experience of my life. I called last week to book two gel manis and pedis for my sister and I for today because I am leaving for vacation tomorrow. When I went in 10 mins early the nasty receptionist said they didn't have me down but I was 100% sure I had the appt. None the less, they took us and the nail tech that worked on me (May?Mai?) didn't say hello or anything just rushed me to the chair. SUCH an aggressive pedi that I'm surprised I still have toe nails. Rushed through the whole service and skipped steps. Rushed me back up to the front and argued with me about the brand of gel I wanted. I ALWAYS get OPI black onyx and have NEVER had a problem with it, she insisted I get shellac which I don't like so we argued and the receptionist got in on it and told me that the opi is "hard to work with" and that I should get the shellac. I insisted on the opi so finally she grabbed the it. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE mani. Skipped many steps in the mani process; didn't file my nails, no soak bowls for my hands and got annoyed when I asked her to do the steps that SHOULD be included in the service. Huffed and puffed the whole time, texting on her phone with my fingers in her hands. Finally ended the mani with filing off the opi on my thumbs and putting the shellac on top. I paid and left. The kicker: the nasty receptionist came after me, outside the building, asking if I was going to leave a tip for the nail tech. Can you believe that? I didn't feel obligated to tip her for such horrible attitude and horrible work. Being in the cosmetology industry I know the ins and outs of salons and nothing about this girl or salon for that matter was professional or pleasant. I will NEVER return to this salon and will be sure to tell everyone I know about this experience to save them the time and money. -10 stars overall. read more
