I took a chance based on previous Yelp reviews and had an amazing experience here. This was my first lash lift, a procedure that I had literally never heard of prior to a google search made on a whim. I wanted something to bring out my eyelashes without extensions and this was perfect. I saw Danielle S. for the lash lift. The procedure itself took about 90 minutes including a consultation that reviewed potential complications such as eyelash kinking. When I asked about that the technician explained how it happened and how they are able to fix it during the lift itself. So I went for it, got in a 60 minute nap, and woke up looking like this, lol. Danielle was even able to fix up a bald spot on one of my eyelashes that she had noticed. Super natural look, professional experience, worth every penny for the nap alone. Can't wait for my brow consult in a few weeks!

I always like to give the new person a chance and at Arch, everyone is so super talented that you really can't go wrong. Thanks for doing such a great job, Amanda! All that training really paid off. This was my first visit to Waxing the City and I loved it!…read more I headed over to cutest little downtown area of Red Bank around 7pm traffic wasn't too bad but I found some difficulty finding a parking spot. TIP! There is a parking lot that offers free parking after 6pm on White St and street parking is free after 6pm. Upon entering the sidewalks are cobble stone and the entrance way is a tall glass door. The interior of the salon is just perfect, an exposed brick wall to your right and bright lighting throughout. I'm a stickler for salon cleanliness and this place passed with flying colors. The salon is actually spotless; exactly the place you want to be getting waxed. I had my eyebrows waxed by the endlessly bubbly Tina who was so easy to connect with right away. She explained what she was doing throughout the process and was so kind. The salon doesn't use the typical wax with a strip to pull the hairs away but this wax was not very painful at all. I think energy speaks volumes when visiting restaurants an salons and I really felt good energy in here. I will be returning. I was very happy with my visit to Waxing the City Red Bank, NJ Thanks and Best Wishes, Tara B.

Binta was wonderful, but I'm not thrilled with my results from the lift and tint, and after a Brazilian I'm very very red and bumpy 3 days later. Essentially my full leg and underarm wax were flawless. Binta is friendly and kind and very professional. The lift and tint were mediocre at best and even after a return trip for a second free of charge tint (normally like $30), my lashes look unchanged. I told her I wasn't happy and that while there is minimal lift and color, it is not enough of a noticeable difference to be worth the $110 I spent. I was told my lashes are very fine and that's why it didn't take ‍

For my lashes, I asked for very natural lashes just a minor enhancement from my real lashes but I ended up looking like Betty Boop. I was expecting 100% 1:1 lash extensions but ended up with mainly clusters which is the reason the extensions do not look natural. For my eyebrows, they were threaded and tinted. I didn't realize my brows were threaded so thinly because the tint disguised this fact. Also, the tint dye irritated my skin. I will not return to this location because I cannot take the strong smoke smell.
