While patiently waiting, I asked for a nail clipper and acetone so I could attempt to remove my own Gel-X set to help speed up the process once a nail technician became available. A technician was initially assigned to my pedicure, but she appeared irritated about having to perform the service, so I requested to wait for another technician. I don't believe in paying for a service from someone who seems upset about providing it. The manager on duty offered to do my Gel-X nails while another technician completed my pedicure. My nail service didn't begin until after 7:20 p.m. During the application, I noticed my left pinky and middle finger Gel-X tips were applied crooked. Since my natural nails are long and healthy, this can affect how they grow. On top of that, the Gel-X tip on my right thumb was too small for my nail, leaving part of my natural nail squeezed because the tip was too narrow. When I brought these issues to the manager's attention, he simply suggested I come back on Monday for a free correction. While I appreciate the offer, after waiting over two hours and paying for the service, I shouldn't have to make another trip to fix mistakes that shouldn't have been made. The Gel-X application is the foundation of the entire set and can make or break the final result. The long wait and poor nail application made this one of the worst experiences I've had here. I've included photos so others can judge the quality of the work for themselves. I hope management takes this review seriously because I genuinely expected much better from a salon I've supported as a repeat customer.

I researched many providers and was impressed with her experience as a make-up artist and being trained by Anastasia (Beverly Hills Brow Guru). I made my appointment... Came in... and she was such a delight from the get go... Although she didn't offer micro-blading... She offers 3D imaging... Its similar but instead of blades...She uses a needle and makes hairlike strokes to apply a semi-permanent dye (That lasts for around 18 months). She was so knowledgeable about colors, shape, and customer experience. We picked out the perfect color. I felt so comfortable with her demeanor and expertise.She was also very thorough about any contraindications, post-care and what to expect. The service was tolerable... She cleans/disinfects the area... wears gloves... Then applies a topical anesthetic to numb the area... It took about 30-45 minutes... I don't remember because I was so relaxed. After she was done... She showed me the final result... They looked amazing. She offers a 4 week follow up (free of charge) to assure that the dye and shape are to your satisfaction. I am such a big fan of Jake and recently listened to a podcast in where she talks about striving to provide the best customer experience. Her team failed to live up to that promise. I think it may have been a lack of communication issue. I really do hope that's all it was. I scheduled a make up appointment the day of. I called the location and confirmed date and time. I live an hour away and was looking forward to being glammed up at The Body Labb with a MUA I had heard/seen so many great things about. I arrive to my appointment right on time. I had called ahead to advise them I would be maybe 3 minutes late and the young lady who answered the phone was so polite and said to not worry about it. So there was notification of me still planning on arriving to said appointment. No one greets me and the MUA I booked with had someone in the chair. I assumed maybe that appointment was late and it was about to finish up. I don't know anything about make up so I could not determine if it was half way in or almost done. After 35 minutes of waiting I finally said I was such time appointment and asked the MUA if i had some time to run to the store to grab something to drink. The MUA states yes. I go and purchase the drink only to come back and have the MUA tell me they are feeling ill and cannot take care of me. This is 45 minutes after my scheduled time. The person offered to have the other MUA work on me but that person had a few people there. I felt like if I accepted I would be an inconvenience and I would also be pushing my upcoming plans even more behind. My original person apologized and offered a discount for the next time I book and was very polite. I would've really appreciated a phone call to cancel the appointment if the person was feeling ill. I was there for 50 minutes total with no idea that my appointment would not take place. I could've tried getting in somewhere else. I declined the offer of the other MUA taking care of me because at that point I felt that i would be pushing my plans back even more. When I called to advise them on the probability of being late, I would've appreciated them to tell me that the appointment was canceled due to illness. I would've been understanding of that even if I was already close by. Maybe the MUA didn't relay the message of leaving for the day to the young lady who answered the phone. I hope this never happens to anyone else and this simply was an off day.
