Update: Julie(the business owner) reached out to redo my whole nails to ensure I am satisfied with it. The business owner ensures she doesn't lose her long term customer which I appreciate. I loved this place, it was my go-to stop to do my nails. However my experience today will change that. I went to ask for a small simplistic french design. I made an appointment at 5 PM to do an express pedicure and a full set. I called the other day to confirm the technician I usually work with which is Julie (I am always happy with Julies work). However when I arrived I learned that Julie wasn't available, even though I called to confirm my appointment specifically with Julie, I was like it's okay I will still go on with my appointment as I am traveling and I can't come another time. I arrived sharply at 5 PM but had to wait 35 minutes until someone was free to be able to work on me. I made sure before the start of the appointment if my nail tech can do this design and whether it was easy. The nail tech who worked on my hand was sweet and patient. The problem is since my appointment started late, I was close to closing time which was 7:30 PM. There was no room for any mistake. I even asked if she would like me to come tomorrow because I felt bad that we were close to closing. However, I was bothered because it seemed the design was hard and she wasn't able to do it, even though before the start of the appointment I asked... emphasis on asked. I showed four designs and asked her to pick the easiest one. Unfortunately, it looks like I made it home not worth 100$, the french don't look french or take the shape consistency through all nails and the hearts are an irregular shape. read more

The nail tech definitely was unexperienced because as she was applying the powder to my nails, she was unable to create the "apex" of the nail. The form of the nail was flat and did not have the appropriate shape. She then accidentally cut my skin with the e-file which caused my skin to bleed. I've always had very difficult ingrown toenails that are very difficult to take out. Many different nail technicians were unable to get my nails cleaned out. It was frustrating that I'd need to return several times for them to remove the remnants. Luckily, I found Nails Haven online. My technician was super detailed and patient to carefully cut out my tough nails. It takes a long time, but she doesn't rush my pedicure. When I had to return a couple of times, she didn't even charge me. Now that is excellent and responsible service. They care about doing a thorough job. One time, I came in for bikini wax. The technicians were all meticulous to remove all hairs in that area. They didn't rush either, and were as gentle as possible. I'm going to come back here for all of my future pedicures. I made an appointment online before our appointment for 8/28 for a Gold Mani and Acrylic Fill, for myself and my friend K, at 12:00pm. I didn't make the appointment wildly late at night or anything, and I used the website that's linked on Yelp (and confirmation from "Fresha", and an SMS). I received email and text confirmations for the time and services. It was 8pm the night before, but the booking service allowed it. If they weren't able to accommodate both the appointments, they should have contacted me or said they were not able to make that time - or not allowed the booking service to make the reservation. So, without any kind of alert to the contrary, we showed up for our appointment. The girl that was behind the counter at the time and another woman were surprised and confused, asking if we had a reservation or appointment - which we did. They said they would be able to take the Acrylic Fill immediately, and then could take the gel mani next, as soon someone was free (despite this being the easier of the services). They were not specific to anyone that would be freeing up soon, or even what "soon" would be. My tech started my acrylic fill. She tried telling me I needed a new set, because I was going from Coffin shaped nails to Almond shape. I was super confused, because I was going from *more* width to less - and I was very concerned about the damage to my natural nails, super weak and brittle, swapping to a new set. She brought someone else over to translate, who I guess explained how she needed to do the service/change in shape, and we were trekking on from there. My other complaint is the bulkiness of the acrylic even after shaping, and application of the polish. However, that pales in comparison of K's experience. Forty minutes into my service, someone had still not "freed" up for K. I had to ask whether K could sit at the open station next to me, which they said would be fine. Somewhat annoying that they didn't think to offer this on their own... After that, two different women came and asked my friend what she wanted. K stated a gel mani each time. However, in response, no indication was given that K would able to have her service - which was now almost an hour past our appointment time. Finally someone said they could take K. K was seated at the end of the row away from me. K did have very old gel polish that needed to be removed on a few nails, and her nail tech started a soak. The tech got all her items prepared, and confirmed the design K wanted. It was a simple french, with a hint of a design. Note: the "Gold" Mani on their website was the only one that did not state "regular polish" but states the following: "Cleansing, shaping, cuticle care, 5 minutes hot stone massage, Mask and Paraffin wrap." A photo on Yelp, from June 4th, 2022 shows an image of the same service list/description (photo is "Current Prices by Elizabeth L.") K's tech immediately started clipping her nails after removing the old gel, with tips placed on her station. K never asked for her nails to be shorter. The tech started asking K if the shape was fine, but after any kind of length losss, her previous design was really not doable any longer - which she said to the tech. The tech said she image that K showed her were acrylics, so instead of remembering "gel mani" or even asking, she just started doing... something. My own tech was rushing because there was a walk in, waiting for an acrylic fill. By the end of my appointment (not the end of our visit) 3+ women were waiting. After my polish was cured (albeit, poorly painted), I went to sit by K. Sometime shortly after I sat next to her, those same tips (magically) vanished from the table top. K and I chatted through the rest of the appointment. The additional "benefits" of a Gold Manicure (mask and paraffin wrap, and hot stone massage) were never done. I didn't even realize until after we got home. Her tech basically trimmed her cuticles, overly filed and cut K's nails, and painted. However, K's tech continued to file after the Gel was applied. Not just to clear up any messiness or paint out of place - the tech was filing K's nails even shorter still, and at the blunt end, where the gel shouldn't be tampered with. I fully expect K's mani to chip in a couple days. We paid and left as soon as we could. We were already fairly upset having to wait over an hour for one of two services after a set appointment time. Then not even having the level of care put into it that any other nail salon has demonstrated was essentially salt in the wound. I don't write this to complain, but just share our experience and let others know. Nail Haven does not seem well prepared for a weekend for services (even a Sunday). They did apply a 10% discount for some Grand Opening, but as far as I can see online and on Yelp, they have been "opening" forever. I agree with the other reviews that say the techs are somewhat inexperienced, and don't listen to the clients. We won't be back. read more

Just want to start off by saying this is my first ever yelp review. If you're looking to get any type of gold nails, do not come here they do not have what you're looking for... I wanted gold chrome nails and they did not have it, so they rubbed the white chrome powder on my nails and were trying to convince me it was gold. When I refused, they told me they couldn't do anything and I needed to pick a different design. Finally when I picked my design, I told the lady I wanted it to be ombré. She colored my nails a nude pink color and started drawing the design. I stopped her because I realized it was not ombré, so I told her that I requested for ombré. She looked at me and said "it is ombré". When I told her it wasn't, she just told me "what do you want me to do." At this point I had been here for 3 hours. When she started doing the ombré, it was horrible. One nail had too much white, the others had none. And some were just splotchy. I had to sit there and tell her what to do step by step just to get the results I wanted. The whole time they were back talking me in a different language, side eyeing me, shaking their heads. If you want to feel belittled then definitely go here. I ended up crying because I got gaslit twice. There was only one lady who was nice to me and it was the one who put my acrylics on. But besides that everybody else there was completely rude and made it look like it was my issue that they didn't have what I was looking for. Besides all of this, I went to go use their restroom and the floor was wet, but I had no clue because there was no sign. I ended up falling and bruising my legs. Can't recommend. It seems like the experience of the techs here is inconsistent and the quality of service varies based on who you get. Came here to treat a friend who lives in this area and saw this was a new spot that seemed promising. My nail tech was rough on my cuticles and cut skin to cause bleeding. Communication wasn't great. The gel on my nails was bumpy and the application wasn't smooth on the edges or sealed so I had peeling shortly after my appointment. One time, at a different location, I even took the file and filed it myself. The first time I entered, Julie greeted me and recommended the organic pedicure. Julie foot massage is amazing. just the right amount of pressure and she is so meticulous when it comes to the shape of your nails.
