The spa is clean, modern and very well cared for. What is most impressive is the organization of the nail polish colours. It wasn't the typical chaos of reds and pinks. Each bottle was placed in numerical order along the wall, which kept everything neat. My pedicure lasted well into my vacation and the esthetician even sprayed and wrapped my nails up with plastic for extra protection. This was my third time to the spa and the first time were good. However, today I had a 2nd massage with Linda who works on Wednesday's who I found to be extremely deceptive, dishonest, manipulative, and harmful to any client/visitor. Although during an initial appointment she was nice just to get a repeat client, today she was verbally abusive and demeaning towards me, calling me fat where other massage woman have enjoyed my company and were inviting and cordial to my body who is muscular as well, where I am a very nice guy and tip extremely well everywhere. She left our scheduled appointment in the middle of it since another client that I overheard her negotiating a price with outside of my room door when I could hear them loudly...how unprofessional and vulgur...no class or good business taste. Furthermore, she said she had to run and as a result I would not have to leave a tip where I left her a tip of $100 the last time I was there, but then another girl came and demanded a tip...they were both loud, abusive, and constantly lying about what had occurred, which is certainly not only very bad customer service but demeaning to an individual. I am a highly respected gentleman where no one has ever spoken to me in this matter. As a result, since I have paid with a credit card and did not authorize a tip that they charged my card, I am disputing that charge without having to sue these two ladies at Kawaii Spa them for anguish and malicious behaviour/business practices. I arrived for my 11am appointment and waited almost 30 minutes for staff to arrive and open up the store. Upon arrival the woman was friendly enough and did a good treatment but never apologized for being late. I scheduled my second session for October 27th at 11am. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was waiting outside on the sidewalk. This is where I remained for the next hour! I called several times however there was no answer. I left several messages. An hour later I left, leaving another voicemail and note on the door advising that I had waited for an hour and noone arrived. The next day I received a brief voice mail for a man saying "oh sorry". I chose not to call back at that time as quite honestly I was really annoyed. My first appointment they were half hour late and my second appointment no one showed up at all! I felt the "oh sorry" voicemail was inadequate. I never received a follow up call from the spa. I would have expected them to make a greater effort to follow up with a customer that they simply never showed for to honor a scheduled appointment. I called today (March 26) to rebook. A bit of time has passed and I thought that I would return as they are very conveniently located to my home and after all I paid $159 and only received 1 of the treatments (30 minutes late but at least they showed up that time!). I was advised that my package had expired! I explained that I had not used the package due to them not showing up for my appointment, I advised that the fact that I was quite annoyed following my October 27 appointment where I left standing on the sidewalk for an hour. I suggested that they should honor the package due to their bad service practices. The man became incredibly argumentative with me, took no responsibility for their poor service and said no. This place has incredibly unprofessional business practices. I had found them as a result of a Groupon purchase so I guess they figured that I had paid the money already so they had no investment in resolving the issue. I would certainly NOT recommend them. If you do choose to go there do not pay in advance. Do not expect them to show up on time or well, maybe just don't expect them to show up. And if there is an issue that you bring up you can expect a defensive response and to be yelled at on the phone. Good luck in establishing your business!

Went in with super chapped hands and untrimmed nails from a whole month of traveling and neglect; came out with soft hands, neat trims, and shiny happy new nail colors. The nail trimming / cuticle shaping / hand care / etc are done with so much attention to detail and her polish application skills are top-notch :) I'm a perfectionist and you can imagine how happy I get when my nail colors always come out smooth and pretty. I'm so glad I was able to do two sessions here and honestly, I think about this place every day. The guides here are so special. The concept of other ship is contrast therapy: there is sauna, and cold plunge. But it's unlike any contrast therapy I've done. It's a 75 minute class where you go in and your swimsuit and it's coed. You take part in a version of Aufguss - a sauna where they break balls of ice infused with delicious essential oils. I took a Gacha class where you do lymphatic drainage and then I also took a heart opener class. They also have free flow where there's no guide. The cold plunge is really special - you get paired up but if the class is small you can go alone. I've cold plunged a lot, and this experience transformed me. I was able to stay really, really calm and have a euphoric experience. The guides also use a tuning fork after the cold plunge to get you to calm the nervous system. The shower and changing room is not ideal for anyone that wants to go about their day after the experience but other than that, I wish I lived in Toronto to do this daily. The staff is also super friendly. They gave me their signature incense for my first visit. I love, love this place.
