She was detailed, professional, and so easy to talk to -- our conversation flowed the whole time. I was very happy with the results. I also loved supporting a Latina-owned business. I came in after having a previous set done elsewhere that was supposed to be coffin-shaped but wasn't even close. I was in a rush at the time and accepted them as they were, which I later regretted. After searching online, I found WOW Nail Salon and immediately loved the photos of Amy's work, so I booked an online appointment for an ombré fill. The online booking process was easy and seamless, and Amy was ready for me right on time. I didn't have to wait at all, which I really appreciated. Before my visit, I had tried filing my nails myself to get closer to the shape I wanted, but they were uneven and didn't match. Amy took one look and got right to work. She corrected the shape beautifully, made everything uniform, and completely transformed my nails. They look amazing. On top of her skill, Amy is the fastest nail tech I've ever had. From start to finish, my service took only 30 minutes, and the quality was flawless. She worked on my nails personally the entire time, which I truly appreciated. Amy was not only professional but genuinely kind, with pleasant conversation that made the appointment enjoyable. The salon itself was clean, nicely decorated, and had a great choice of music at just the right volume. We walked in for our appointment early expecting to need time to pick colors and they sat us right away and started working. They treated my 6 yr old like an equal participant and took good care of her needs and nails and were kind and patient. Not how we were treated at balisima. Same with me. My pedicurist even continued to massage while the timer beeped for a short bit instead of rushing to be done. Much appreciated. He is also taking great care, paying good attention to detail and fixing any issues as he sees them. Also very relaxing. Its quiete, no loud repetative noises, people talking at normal volume and classic sounds of a nail salon. Enjoyable. Ive had less than nice service at other places around town and this place stands out as amazing in my book. I will say I felt a little rushed by being sat down so quickly and pelted with questions of what services we wanted. But I will be more prepared next time. But it has come to my attention that the owner of this business (Tommy) has CONTINUED to sexually harass their clients. SO here is what happened to me in 2020: They were only taking one-on-one appointments due to COVID regulations. At the time I was 22 years old. His wife and daughter were in the business towards the back of the business in a room so it was just me and him in the main lobby on a pedicure chair. I had scheduled to do a manicure and pedicure. It started off with a regular manicure and pedicure and his weird comments began. Comments as in "you look so much younger than your age because of how small and petite your body is" -- the comments continued "you have really nice hands and really nice feet" -- they continued, "you are gonna look young for a very long time since you are small and have such a nice body" then the routine of a massage on the feet and calves began (this was normal and expected) THEN his hands traveled up my legs into my inner thighs and then to my shoulders and chest area..... I COMPLETELY FROZE. Up to this day I wish I would have reacted differently but I shut down. I felt completely and utterly paralyzed and in shock!!! It's been years later and I still reflect on how I should have spoken up and reacted differently. One of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. I truly hope this business shuts down!! that his wife wakes up that her husband is a COMPLETE CREEP, and that should have NEVER happened to anyone!!! As for our nails, we love them. Melissa listened to what I wanted exactly, and executed just that. My mom is super picky when she gets hers done, but Melissa did her nails sooo well.
