If you come to this location, I don't recommend getting your pedicure done by the young man in there. He does a very half way done job. Every time I go I unfortunately get serviced by him & I try to give him the benefit of the doubt but I can't pay $45 +tip for a pedicure when I have to coach him through the pedicure. This is my last time coming here. I had to ask him to clean under my nails and to remove the skin around my nails. Then he got upset when I politely asked him if I can wait for another person. He said no that he will finish the job & ignored me and continued working. I once also paid extra for the massage part of the pedicure & he tried to stop the massage way too early. read more

Initially I had nice things to say..as the years have progressed and different employees appear I still prefer Tim over all of the employees at this location. However the most recent visits have been unfavorable. Today after I repeatedly refused to cut my healthy nails and said no to gel (because I have my own) the elderly lady with the raggedy bob haircut began throwing my hands around and ultimately my pedicurist had to do my manicure correctly because I insisted the elderly Dora the explorer keep her distance with that low realm bitter ass energy. When I went last time I asked how I only paid $80 for 2 pedicures and a fill if the fill cost 35 and pedicures are $25 and I tiped $5 to both parties? But OK they tried to justify it by saying I would've paid less if I got gel polish but I honestly took 10 min max and for less I pay more? If you were at home business and had to break down a kit I'd understand but you're already open and not busy so I know this was a money grab and I won't be returning. I usually come here for eyebrow waxing, this time around on 1/8/2022 the lady who performed my waxing did a terrible job. they look almost exactly how it was before. lol also the lady wasn't wearing a mask. I'm not that concerned about that, just in case someone out there who is immune compromised is considering on coming here...don't Another thing is that when she was 'done' waxing my eyebrows she proceeded to grab my shoulders and get me up off the table. idk why she thought it was ok for her to put her hands on me. like immediately after she was done, like 1 second after the lady grabs me and pulls me out of the table... RIDICULOUS!!! Lady cut my skin off. I didn't realize until the next day when I was cutting a lemon and my skin burned like crazy. I called 5 days later because I live in LA and work so did not have time to call. When I called the guy working was very rude and not empathetic what so ever! "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO" was his response. Any kind hearted person would offer something, ANYTHING. He was so damn rude. I wasn't even going to leave a Yelp review but after his response HA! Here it is.. $50 for "powder & gel" + 10 tip (to be nice). Days later the gel is literally chipping off (hence it's supposed last at least two weeks). My nails look AWFUL. However, I was not aware as you wait you have to look at the nail colors they provide and have it picked by the time you get to Paul. I didn't look since I had a photo of nails he did on his instagram page. When it was my turn, I asked for short almond shape and he told me no coffins are better. So I went with it, when it came to the nail color I showed him it and told me he didn't want to do that on me basically and was rushing me to pick a color. He was quite rude. these are some of the most mixed reviews I have ever read. I rely on yelp to help me make a decision. The picture look like decent nails. And to be honest the end product is perfect. The customer service was great. But those are the only reasons I couldn't give this place lower then a 3. This place is dirty. The station was messy, which I know may not be my nail artists fault. But she could have changed the towel under my hands. She didn't wash her hands in between people. Her hands were sticky. So stickky I thought it was from me, until I remember I washed my hands 10 minutes before sitting down. She used tools from her 'soiled' pile and tried to hide it under her counter. I have been there twice. The first time I had a good experience. My gel manicure was done good. I went back a few days ago. It seems they were not happy to do my nails. I was asked if I wanted my nails cut. I said yes. Well he cut my nails but did not bother to fix it. When I told him one nail look bad he cut my nail very short that it hurts. He did not bother to file or nothing he just started the process. When that was done. He put a lot of oil on my hand like if he was going to massage but no. I had to wipe of the oil because he squeeze the bottle on my arm. They should be happy when customers come in the shop is business. I was very skeptical when choosing a salon in Palmdale. I usually drive 30 minutes to San Fernando for my nails because I am very picky with nail shape and have not had good experiences when I randomly choose nail salons. However, I found Vanity Nails via Yelp, and after browsing some pictures, decided to give them a try. Called in at 3pm, was given a 5 pm appointment for a full set. Lady on the phone was very friendly and I could understand her clearly when she spoke (unlike other salons with poor telephone etiquette). When I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find a salon with great decor, a comfy vibe, and appeared to be very clean. They also had many nail styles displayed out front for customers to gaze at while waiting; I chose a pink and white powder ombre. No one verbally acknowledged me, but I wrote my name down on the list along with the services I wanted and the appointment time I had been given. About 3 minutes later, I was approached by a young man with glasses, who directed me to the station where I would be helped. To my surprise, he was also my nail technician (it's rare to have a young man help me). He was very gentle with my hands and was very focused and precise while working on my nails. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, but he did an excellent job on my nails. I love the shape and was very pleased with his workmanship. I had to remove one star because they forgot that I was getting a pedicure also, and wanted me to wait 20 extra minutes. But I wasn't as upset about that because I was so happy with my nails! Also, they charge a $1 fee for credit card transactions, so have cash ready if possible to avoid that. I was very DISAPPOINTED with this place! I asked for a manicure & pedicure for my daughter & all the man did was dip her hands in water, took them out to dry them & then painted her nails. He was mad & kept pushing me to get gel although I repeated many times I just wanted regular polish. Same thing was done with her feet. Placed in water, brought out & dried them & polished them. A cousin of mine went with us & asked for the same thing, mani & pedi & again, nothing was done but hands & feet dipped in water & then polished. He proceeded to do gel polish when she as well asked for regular polish! He did everything as if he was in a rush, didn't do anything thoroughly. When it came to my turn, I asked for long acrylic nails, black French tip but bottom half of it matte. The guy looked at me confused about it even after I showed him a picture. He cut my nails short when I asked for them to be long & they all came out uneven. When he started to polish them, he didn't put the clear coat under before adding the color & did them all black instead of how I asked them to be. When he finished, I noticed my nails looked transparent in a lot of spots on my nails. They overpriced everything for a shitty job! Also, they were not the cleanest. As I was getting my nails done, they had nails on the side of the table & even bandages from I'm guessing a previous person. Do not recommend this place. Definitely not going back there. Went here to get my lashes done and the lady did a horrible job, she charged me $80 for lashes that came off the next day, didn't wear gloves, didn't clean my lashes, she used cheap cluster lashes instead of individual ones. After waiting for awhile she took me into the dirty room in the back, she was completely unprofessional and got lash glue in my eye and used her tweezers to try to get it out.
