The pedicure seats seem very new and the massage features worked well. The pedicure was okay - they use liners which helps with hygiene. The cleaning of the nail bed was okay but just not as thorough as my normal place in Oakland. Regular manicure with gel pedicure was $67.

Upon first entering, it looks like a hair salon. The spa part is in the back, but it is a no-frills kind of place. I booked a prenatal massage with some hesitation. I tried one once before, elsewhere, and it was a complete waste of money because the other gal spent the hour basically just rubbing oil around my skin. THIS TIME, however, I was very happy to have her really work on my sore shoulders and back. I can feel the difference today, and I consider it $60 very well spent. She was clearly knowledgeable, and very good at her job. The only downside is that she does have sort of limited hours - very few evening appointments, and I think zero weekends, which makes it hard to get in around my work schedule. Other than that though, I have no complaints and will be back again soon.

My daughter and I had our nails done yesterday at Apple Nails, and I want to start by saying that…read morethe finished results were absolutely beautiful. Both of our nails turned out fabulous! Unfortunately, though, my experience during the service was quite uncomfortable, and I'm paying for it today with extremely sore and painful fingertips. My nail technician was a man wearing glasses. When I sat down, I explained to him that I am a massage therapist and that I am also diabetic. I specifically asked him to please be gentle and careful around my fingers and cuticles because I wanted to avoid any cuts or potential infection. Unfortunately, I felt that my concerns were not taken into consideration. His technique was extremely aggressive, and at one point I had to stop him and tell him that he was being way too rough. I even asked him if he was a carpenter or worked in construction because of how forcefully he was handling my nails. He used a very rough Dremel-type file to prep my nails and repeatedly used the tip of his thumb to press firmly around my cuticles in an attempt to separate the nail glue from my skin. The pressure was quite uncomfortable, and today my fingertips are extremely sore. I want to emphasize that the final results are beautiful, and my daughter's nails look gorgeous as well. I am very happy with how they turned out. Unfortunately, however, I feel that I had to suffer quite a bit physically to get those results. I would have gladly given a 5-star review if my technician had been more attentive to my concerns and had used a much gentler touch. I'm sharing this respectfully because I think the service could have been a much more positive experience if my request for extra care had been taken seriously. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback.
