Not sure if my nail gal was new but she didn't seem to know what she was doing. First I asked for thin white French using and powder. Didn't get that at all. I know this makes me sound bad but it's frustrating when your nail tech doesn't say much but laughs and giggles to her coworker speaking Vietnamese the whole time. So you can't help but think they're talking about you. I told her I didn't like how the other place I went to put the gel coating on thick and I didn't want that this time. But it's thick and looks more like glue than a top coat. Each nail is a diff shape and length. She cracked one and tried to fill it using the acrylic powder. She kept dipping the nails into the powder over and over. So they're too thick. She could also cut my skin as if it were the nail bed. Then in the end she asks if I liked them. I had to lie because I felt I spent more than enough time there and just didn't want to be there anymore.

As a walk in, I waited about 15 minutes at the front desk just to get an answer on whether they could fit me in. It felt like there should have been a quicker way to determine availability. I was also surprised by the $2 sanitation fee. It's not the amount that bothers me it's the principle. Maintaining clean, sanitized tools and equipment should be a standard part of doing business, not an extra charge passed on to customers. To me, that's simply part of the service I'm already paying for. The quality of the pedicure was great, but the wait and additional fee left me with mixed feelings about the experience. I don't believe I will be back.

I will say though, my assigned nail technician, Cindy, was very lovely and unproblematic. Unlike the other workers, they would try to pressure you and upsale to get services that you never intended to get. Plus, I had a feeling the lady that ran the front desk, her name is Kim, I believe, she made it clear that she disliked me every time I came by for an appointment. Mind you, I came with decency and kindness, because that's how I naturally am as a person, but something told me that she does not really like Black people or people of color; so definitely didn't feel welcomed. Ever since I had the last encounter, last summer, I have not been back. I would definitely think twice about going there, especially considering if you don't feel like being annoyed or antagonized by the employees.

I keep trying to find a pedicure place that I love and want to return to, but this is definitely…read morenot it. I did not have an appointment, they told me 10 minutes. I was seated about 15 minutes later and waited with my feet in the water for another 10 which is just fine. The lady who did my pedicure was probably the roughest I've ever experienced! She cut my cuticles to the point I thought I would bleed and I lost layers of skin when she was rubbing them with salt. She cut them jagged and didn't use callus removal serum/lotion, just a cheese grater. The polish job wasn't great either. I waited a bit and ended up putting my own sandals back on. The owners seemed nice/funny, but Iost definitely won't be back!
