She was filing my nails and not even looking, so the file was scraping skin and not even touching my nails. She was basically pretending to do each step, if that makes sense? Every single step from filing my nails, clipping my cuticles, buffing- every single thing was painful and done sloppily and carelessly. The paint job was just as horrific. Paint all over my skin. When I asked her to clean up a few areas, she got an attitude with me! Additionally, I couldn't decide on a color. She had handed me one sample kit to choose from and said "this is all we have", after I couldn't find one I liked, she got up irritated and shoved another one on my lap and said, there's more in this one. So, there were more colors..? The whole experience was just awful, she hated her job and makes sure you know it. With two horrible coats of paint and one top layer, the pedicure is dull and awful looking and will chip off soon. I was going to get a manicure and I just said never mind. To my knowledge, she is one of the managers, and I can honestly say she is one of the most professional, hardworking, and hospitable owners I have ever encountered in any industry. I've seen the salon become incredibly busy, and instead of simply managing from the sidelines, Cathy rolls up her sleeves and immediately starts helping with clients to support her team. I've watched her go out of her way to ensure every guest feels welcomed and taken care of, and I've even personally seen her stay after hours cleaning the entire salon herself. That level of leadership, dedication, and pride in her business is rare and deserves recognition. She has also built an amazing team. I actually live much closer to another nail salon, but I made the switch because I found this salon to be far more hygienic, professional, and welcoming. It was one of the best decisions I've made. Two of my favorite nail technicians are Tracey and Richard, who always take great care of me. Richard is incredibly talented and detail-oriented.
