Getting to the salon wasn't too difficult, some street parking wasn't too difficult. The salon had a cute and modern vibe to it! I was instantly seated by Tammy and she got to work. They had an iPad at each station, which really made my experience here relaxing. I had a hard gel set on, and Tammy did mention how they'd have to start clean and remove this set. I was charged for removal, which I wasn't the greatest fan of. I asked Tammy for a classic nude, white ombré with a bit of glitter on top, and she delivered! This is probably the best set of ombré nails I've ever had done!!! I've had many nail techs say how ombré nails look better on longer nails, but Tammy made things work with the nail length I was comfortable with! I was a bit skeptical of the longevity since it wasn't the hard gel I'm used to, but this set legit lasted me over FOUR WEEKS (with the exception of one nail that had gel-ex on because of some previous nail damage)! If I were in the area more often, I'd go back to Buttercup in a heartbeat!!!! They are on the pricier side, but you'll be paying for quality IMO.

My toenails were not great and ruined from acrylics so they were very short, she cleaned them up so perfectly. She gave me a dry pedicure which was way better than the traditional pedicure in the water, not sure how else to describe it other than to try it out. My finger nails were weak from peeling off the last set of gel so she added a special overcoat to repair the nail and make it stronger. its been a week since I got them done and they still look brand new and i think they got even stronger :) What's great is you're the only client and she gives you the true VIP treatment. I was able to pick a movie to watch while she worked. She takes her time with the massages (i've had some places basically put lotion on you and call it a day) I live a state over and I know next time I am in town I will be making an appointment.

It was my first time here and the first thing I noticed was how cute the place was decorated. I felt comfortable almost instantly. I came today to get a new gel x with design. I was paired with Amy and omg. She killed it. Not only do I absolutely love the final product, but the care and attention she put was really impressive. Every time I get my nails done, I always experience a bit of pain when the ladies rub my skin by accident. Amy was so thorough and made the experience perfect. I felt so comfortable. One of my nails ripped from my prior nail set and Amy was sooooo gentle with it. Whereas others experience, I always got rough treatment. Outside of that, the vibes of this place is genuinely immaculate. I can tell from the energy of the other girls that they love this place. It just felt so welcoming. I usually never feel that way. If anything, I always felt judged. This was a different feeling. Tbh, after my wedding this year (2 weeks ago), I told myself I would take a break with getting my nails done. I received a text coupon from the salon for 15% off any service. My regular manicure and pedicure started off just fine. When I was asked to pay before getting my manicure, I mentioned that I had the coupon. The owner was there, Martha consulted with her, and they asked to see the text to verify the offer--which was completely reasonable. What happened next was not. While I was getting my manicure, Martha was openly discussing the coupon with the owner and another stylist in Vietnamese. The conversation was about how the service wasn't worth her time at 15% off, who was going to absorb the discount, how much she would take home, and how it would be entered into their iPad. She continued making comments about how I "only tip 15%" and that I "sit for hours." First, my tip should not be a topic of discussion among employees while I'm sitting right there. Second, I had just received a manicure and was sitting for approximately 20 minutes afterward to allow my nails to dry before leaving. That is hardly unreasonable. Today, after sitting for about 17 minutes following my manicure ( I was sure to time it), the hairstylist made another comment: "Wow, she sits so long." At that point, I packed up my things. As I walked out, with my 15% tip on the table, the owner said, "Thank you, have a good day." I responded, "I didn't realize it was such a problem to let my nails dry before I leave. I understood everything you guys said." Apparently, sitting for 20 minutes to let a manicure dry is too much to ask. Martha also brought up a comment I had made previously about a price increase. Yes, I did make a comment--and I think it's completely reasonable to be surprised when you are told after your services are completed that the price has increased. Why wasn't the price change communicated when I made the appointment or when I arrived? I wasn't objecting to the increase; I was surprised by the lack of communication. Customers should know the price of a service before it is performed so they can make an informed decision. What bothered me most was being made to feel like I was inconveniencing the salon by using a coupon they themselves sent me. If the salon doesn't want to honor a promotion, they shouldn't send it to customers. I've supported this business for years, but customers deserve to be able to use a legitimate promotion without being made to feel guilty about it--and they certainly deserve to sit quietly while their nails dry without being discussed by the staff. There are plenty of other salons where I can spend my hard-earned money and feel welcomed and respected and you should do the same!
